Apologies for a really long post. But I couldn't contain it inside anymore. So here it goes. If I bored you, sorry before hand.
If Arnav and Kushi separate because of what is being shown and said in the PROMO, I am sorry (don't beat me up) but IPKKND will lose its flavor for me. I don't remember who, but some one said, this show is on the cusp of greatness. Many a times it has taken us on a thrilling ride only to pull back and cater to so called "TRP" clichs.

Why will it lose its flavor for me. Here are my points.

Many a serials, especially the typical Saas Bahu, the heroine always goes through heartache after heartache and end up in the most improbable of situations and utter dialogues no other sane person would say, just so they can use that for misunderstanding.

I cannot comprehend Kushi mouthing the dialogues, "Why Don't you Leave Anjali" to Shyam. These type of "clich" dialogues make no sense at all. Isn't she hiding the truth so Anjali will not be devastated. Isn't she sacrificing the truth for Anjali's sake. Then how can she suggest "Why Don't You Leave Anjali". So if he leaves Anjali, Anjali will not be devastated? Is Kushi trying to say, oh you hate her, leave her? Wouldn't this add fuel to the idiot Shyam's thoughts, Kushi will marry him if Anjali is not in the picture and now she is suggesting it too. This is a big no no for me.

This serial has shown, through so many characters how different it is from the insipid crap that are the other 99% of the shows. Take Lavanya for example. Look at how they transformed her. In the end I felt she deserved ASR as much as Kushi - at that point.

She took lessons from a person she hated. She slowly understood meaning of family, relationships and transformed herself, for the man she loved. She turned her disdain for Kushi into love for Kushi. She even realized, just like Kushi has paved the path for her to become a true gem of a person, Kushi was bringing those changes in the arrogant ASR. She willing sacrificed her love because she knew ASR was falling in love with her.
She did not get bitter. She did not turn into a vamp. When someone changes you for the better and you are better person because of them, and you realize that, then you can only appreciate that person and love that person. So she loved Kushi as a friend as much as she lover ASR. So with a heavy broken heart, she gave up ASR. Who in this forum was not sad when Lavanya left. We all were. Do you see this serial and the CVs brilliance. We all cried for someone who was supposedly a villain, vamp, etc.

Take Nani as another example. She tolerates Manorama until the point where she knows she has to step in. Does anyone not notice the brilliance in this character sketch. A Nani, from old world, has all the gumption and intelligence to know just when to strike.

Otherwise, any other CVs would have turned Nani and Manorama into caricatures like many other Saas-Bahu relationships. She tolerates Manorama, when no real harm is being done and steps in and puts the foot down, when she knows, things are going too far. She did that with Arnav and Lavanya too. Which other senior citizen in television land has showed such maturity and showed use of their power and control (on the family) effectively only when absolutely needed.

Take Buaji. The way she handled Shyam when she caught him peeping. Many other CVs would have made that character into a villain overnight, as does happen in many serials, and they will show the reason to be something lame like, she doesn't like Kushi anyways as she is adopted. I was amazed yet one more time by the CVs for how well they are deviating from the insipid writing of many shows and one more reason why this serial is such a Gem.

Then how can they use clich dialogues and clich situations to force a hatred track. I am not saying I want everything to be lovey dovey. Far from it. Any story will only shine, when there is a conflict, and there are twists and there are shocks in the road ahead. But if there is hate between Arnav and Kushi, it has to be as reasonable and as befitting as all the characterizations and symbolisms they have showed us, so far. Yes, they have been hinting at Arnav and Kushi's pasts being intertwined. That is a great way to give the story a big bang for a separation track.

Not insipid dialogues like, Why Don't You Leave Anjali.

So I am ASR, and I hear this and I immediately think, oh no, she is after my sister's husband too. What a gold digger she is.

This defies all the logic and I doubt this shows CVs are that dumb (sorry for saying that).

Hey ASR, even if Kushi is a gold digger, she caught the biggest fish. You. You are lattoo over her. You are cleaning up dishes (figuratively even without being asked). So why would she want Shyam, that too a married person and who is not even 10% wealthy as you are.

Otherwise, if he hears Shyam saying I hate Anjali and the rest of conversation, gets amd at Kushi and tortures Kushi, but keeps the secret quite for his sisters sake, why would he get angry on Kushi. For a person, who seems to know what all Kushi wants and does, wouldn't he even stop to think, maybe she hid the truth for the very same reason. So his sister doesn't get hurt.
Everyone in RM knows, Kushi's fianc name was Shyam. Everyone in RM knows Shyam wasn't officially introduced to Kushi until the day of the pooja (same day she found out who Shyam really was). Everyone was in that room. So how can ASR think Kushi fell for Shyam, knowing he is Anjali's husband. How will ASR forget how Kushi helped Anjali when her boot fell off. How warm and genuinely happy both (Anjali and Kushi) are in each others company. How they form a team to tease him and make him do what they want.

I am already mad at the CVs for daring to give Kushi absolutely crappy dialogues like "Why don't you leave your wife" no matter what the context.

If they do that, and it becomes the reason for the hate track, I am sorry guys, but one thing is certain.

CVs have given absolutely mind blowing character sketches for everyone including Manorama(remember how she shut peoples mouths when they were talking badly about ASR and La living arrangements) except Kushi.

If they do that, it can only mean, CVs are bowing to the pressure of making the heroine as dumb as any other show and a magnet for all bad things happening to her so she can cry buckets. And what does she do, she forgives everyone, then utters another stupid dialogue which only is heard out of context and the tears cycle starts again. Yet she will keep on loving. Yet she will keep on praying to Devi Mayya that, protect everyone, just torture me.

If they do that, it can only mean, CVs truly have not showed us that ASR is in love with Kushi. He just is mesmerized by her beauty. Nothing more, nothing less.

Because, the only true love they have shown, between a man and woman is that of what Lavanya had for ASR. She did not misunderstand when he called her Kushi. She did not misunderstand him ignoring her. She did not misunderstand him, when he was apologizing to Kushi when she was not even around. Instead, she understood, what was not said, She understood the words, the meanings, the feelings and even the silence. She loved him enough to trust his judgment of falling for Kushi and her judgment of Kushi being the ideal person for ASR, no matter how much she herself loved ASR.

If ASR does not have that kind of understanding for Kushi, then I am sorry, but his character is like an unmarried Shyam to me. Just bowled over by beauty but has no understanding of Kushi and who she is and what she is.

Let us see, if CVs break my faith or keep intact the mastery of their characterizations so far. Don't get me wrong. Separation track is fine. But with the IPKKND style of writing not an Ekta Kapoor style of serials writing (no offense to anyone who likes her serials).

Not that my faith matters that much to anyone. :-)

Do comment my fellow forum IPKKNDs.

I agree the crisis of confidence/faith needs to be believable and true to the characters, but I've found promos can be deliberately misleading and not very predictive of the story. Often promos are about creating buzz, panic and hysteria to raise TRPs. So all I'll say is that we'll have to see how this plays out...

Hoping with my fingers crossed that IPKKND cvs do not dissapoint us. Hate or love track whatever they choose is absolutely fine as long as the story moves forward with some iota of logic and the characters do not undergo shocking transformations.

Thanks for your reply. I agree. The promo might be there to create a buzz. But I am sure, that dialogue will still be used. The reactions of Arnav to that dialogue may be different than what we all are expecting (anger and betrayal etc). Just the dialogue alone make me cringe, as I can't comprehend Kushi uttering those words.

Agree with what you said in the first paragraph, that reason alone puts off many people off shows that take that typical route. We can only wait and watch, but the moment the creepy dude manages to drive a wedge between them in the usual manner heaping all the blame on the Kushi alone- it will be a huge let down. I say, bring on the drama, the angst of having to stay away because of whatever reasons but not because of some misunderstanding caused by one line... how dumb would that be! Let the characters hear entire conversations, or piece things together or let the other person speak for a change - give them a chance to defend themselves if the need be before you castigate them. Let's see how the show deals with that.
