So the reason I didn't analyse the kisses in my episode analysis' is because I really didn't want to bring negativity to the forum and to members who did enjoy both of the kisses. But I know some people wanted to know my opiniong and now I think you've had enough time to swoon over the kisses so here we go :P

Arnav's kiss I was unsure about at first because it seemed to me that a kiss on the cheek was such a non-Arnav thing for him to do but then I started to like it more. For me it seemed like Arnav was trying to show Khushi that she didn't need to be afraid of him. If he had kissed her properly all he would have done was prove that he takes liberties with Khushi even when she's unwilling but a kiss on the cheek (and especially with his tone of voice) was more affectionate and considerate. He also gives her an escape route, if Khushi hadn't have nodded her head saying she could do whatever he could do I doubt Arnav would have gone through with the kiss. Although he does follow Khushi out of the room he stays at a distance, giving her space and time rather than demanding his return kiss straight away.

The reason I didn't like Khushi's kiss was because unlike a lot of other people I actually thought it was out of character. This is a girl who despite being deep in thought about why Arnav paid her father's hospital bill and why she hugged him still wouldn't let her friend (at the time) hold her hand and instantly came out her Arnav-induced reverie to snatch her hand back.

I also found it odd the way Arnav also just stands and watches while Khushi kisses Anjali, Nani and Mami. He's a smart guy and he seems to have the kiss challenge on his brain the entire day and mentioned in once again only a minute ago. If it was me, as soon as I see Khushi kissing somebody, which she's never done before, his mind should go into overdrive and wonder if this is a plan, if this is some way of her getting out of it or showing him up and would expect him to prepare himself in some way but he just stands there.

Before the episode aired I was sure Khushi would either kiss him willingly, as in 'anything you can do, I can do better' type or not kiss him at all because 'I don't need to prove anything to you, I already won the sangeet and you didn't do what I wanted so why should I do what you want?'

So to me it just seemed like a cop-out way of getting Khushi to kiss Arnav and slightly out of character for Khushi. I mean she is affectionate, we have seen her hugging Anjali and Nani before and we've seen her get caught up in the moment before (hospital hug and holding Arnav's arm during Payal-Akash) but there was nothing in that scene beforehand for her to get so swept up in the moment about that she not only kisses Mami who she knows dislikes her but also a guy (irrelevant of who the guy is). Khushi wasn't even willing to measure some models for her job, was unwilling to show any type of affection to her fianc and yet here she is kissing somebody after having apparently got 'swept up in the moment'.

Today's episode was also a complete disappointment. If you missed Saturday's episode you could almost believe that she hadn't even kissed him judging by the non reactions from everybody including Khushi herself who I thought should have been more flustered and awkward especially around Anjali and Nani. She doesn't need to be as flustered around Arnav because she's sort of given him an explanation with the bet thing but I still would have expected some dhak dhak and some embarrassment on her part when they came back for the havan.

I did like the mirroring contrasts between the two kisses. Where Arnav's was slow, thought out and pre-planned (at least by the time he said 'can you do what I can do?'), Khushi's was impulsive and completely unplanned. Arnav's was in private, no extra characters, no extra decoration at the poolside but Khushi's was in full view of four people, in a romantic setting. Both take place by the poolside and both end with Khushi running away, however it changes from the kissee running away to being the kisser that does the running away.

Anyway, those were my thoughts, hope you'll let me know yours :D

nice one liked the way you explained about arnav kiss , yeah agree with you .

About kushi yourself gave answer, yeah hers was instantaneous.
At IPK i always felt the CVs end up having cliched scenes
they showed payal and kushi worried about payal's bidai
both sisters cried so i think you need to connect this scene with the one at pool
Kushi was too happy to see anjali and naani trying to make payal happy. and with kiss in her mind she just did it. and i feel Arnav was not sure about what kushi is going to do about sharth so he did not budge 🤔

thanks for the pm

I actually find Khushi so much easier to understand most of the time compared to Arnav who's such an enigma generally.

Res... will comment in a bit...

EDIT:

I agree with what you have to say. I agree with all the points you made about Arnav. And the contrast between the two kisses.

This is what I thought Khushi - agree or disagree with me people: Khushi is an 18 years old, naive, innocent, inexperienced girl. She wouldn't touch a guy, let alone kiss one. From what I know of Khushi; she doesn't look like she's even had her first kiss. Personally, if I was in her place - I would have been a nervous wreck about it. And I certainly wouldn;t have done it in the open, in front of many family members. They made the kiss seem too casual... I don't know - that's my point of view. There was something about Khushi's kiss that just seemed too off for me. It seemed out of character for her. I know it's just a kiss on the cheek, but it just seemed odd to me.

Hiya Nayika great analysis...made some good observations...I too cannot understand why Khushi's kiss was etched out in this way...what was the need for it to be shown or done in this way.It felt to me as if she just randomly started kissing everyone without any rhyme or reason...there wasn't enough to show that she was caught up in the moment to have got so nostalgic or emotional. However if the stiuation was to be shown that she looked for a means of finding a way to not to lose the shart against ASR and this was the only way of no losing against him then it would have made more sense and would have had more of a sense of dangerous excitement to it... as this was not so, the kiss for me fell flat ...know that a lot of people enjoyed it even more so probably for the sake of seeing a Khushi kiss.I must say though that i really did enjoy the ASR kiss as that had all the ingredients of dangerous excitement,a dare devilness, passion ,intensity, sensuality etc...it was enough to make us girls go weak at the knees and above all it was excecuted/picturised well.
I have not watched todays episode yet but it souds like a dissapointment from what youv'e said...would have expected Arhi to be more conscious around one another and the rest of the family members after their kissing saga...oh well can't say much untill I see the episode.
