Again, I found that the CVs created a beautiful ambience but didnt use it at all to do anything beautiful. Here is how I wished it had been.
This starts after Kushi lies down and Arnav watches her. She opens her eyes to see his hand near her face and gets up startled. But to her surprise, the dori of her kurta is stuck to his watch and has got pulled open by her sudden jerk. She realizes it and closes her eyes feeling shy. Arnav tries to quickly remove the dori but it does not come out. The phone starts rignging and he is tensed. Kushi looks at him with teary eyes. He quickly removes his watch and hands it to her. He speaks with Akash all the while watching Kushi who wraps her duppatta around her back and is trying to remove the dori from the watch. By the time he completes the call, she has taken the watch out. Arnav slowly comes near her and she hands out the watch to him. He takes it and sits down to see her face which still is sober. He understands that she is feeling embarassed and wants to cheer her up. He notices the bouquet on the nearby chair. He says, "Ahh, Flowers! I cant understand how giving this can make people happy. Let me try". He picks up a single rose and extends it to her saying, "Here Kushi Kumari Gupta, Happy New Year !" and waits for her to take it. She looks at him thinking it is a joke but when she sees him holding it for long, she slowly takes it, confused. "Happy ?..." he asked waiting to check her reaction. She found herself in a fix. If she said no, he would say that he was right that these things dont matter and if she said yes, it would mean something else. She thought for a moment, "What would it mean !". Then she thought it is better to not let him win. And also, ofcourse, she was happy. So she blurted out, "yes I am very happy to get this from you. this is how you wish people on new year". He was happy that his plot worked. He suppressed his laugh and with a smirk said, "Really ? Unbelievable..." and turned around to leave. Half turned, he said, "I am sure you will want to trouble me this year also. But please spare my car. Choose something else." Kushi, already confused if he won or lost bit down a smile and said, "Arnav ji, Happy New Year aapko bhi". He smiled to himself and left.
