I know many ppl here are very disappointed with the episode and believe the track is moving in circles.. but I think not. These are my points
1. There was much speculation on Friday as to what exactly ASR meant when he said to himself 'mein hone nahi doonga' in the car. For somebody like ASR, who has been so sure of himself, so aggressive and so successful in his career, it is not an easy matter to let a chit of a girl (that's what ASR thinks.. 😆) affect him so deeply. So, my dearies, he is not going to suddenly fall on his knees and try to woo khushi.. naaah no way! He is going to fight it all the way. So what he said to himself was he WONT let himself be affected.. in other words he will try harder. By doing this, I think the CVs have ensured a strong continuity in ASR's character. This is how he will react. I would be disappointed if he suddenly turned colours.. .ASR's transformation HAS TO BE painfully slow, realisation will come, but it will come to him inch by bloody painful inch!😛
2. When confronted with a bad likeness of Khushi in Lavanya's silliness, he loses it.. again, and almost blurts out the reason why. That again, is a great scene.. because a. it shows how much he is fighting against and b. it shows how deeply he is affected.. in other words how futile his fighting is.
3. I love the way Khushi feels comfortable enough to barge into his room and tackle him whenever she feels like.. 😳 she doesn't realise it but here is where we see how subconsciously she feels she has the right to do so. Again, this is a point in favour of the CVs who are careful to develop and remain true to Khushi's strong character as well. She is no weakling our chamkeli and that is why ASR is so passionately attracted to her. In some ways, he sees a reflection of his own strength of character and integrity in her.
4. His apology is the only way he knows to apologise.. for him it is a GIANT LEAP to actually traverse the distance to Lavanya's room, apologise to her and of course ankhon ankhon mein apologise to Khushi as well. Remember inch by painful inch... this is one inch forward. And his discomfort at Lavanya's physical gestures is quite obvious.. but he hasnt come to the stage yet where he will recognise that he is unfortunately using her as a pawn. For ASR, life is now one confusing mess where all he wants is to be rid of this agonising pain in his heart.. a heart that feels like lead whenever he sees Khushi's huge eyes and is reminded that she is no longer his. And he is a flawed character who is unable to understand his emotions.. and he will not in a matter of a few days. Give him time guys and give the scriptwriters some credit.
I think they are staying true to the characters they have created. From my side, Kudos!!
Looking forward to some masti tom.. I think both ASR and Khushi will be spying on their siblings and will bump into each other. 😆 bets??
