I know Unlike other ME's this ME has affected us quite deeply...Agreed that there were many members who wanted to see Arnav suffering, feeling the pain..the same pain he gave to Khushi & when his turn finally came, none of us were prepared for the intensity of it , Most of us could not see that proud man broken and his emotions in tatters ..Kudos to BARUN for effortlessly portraying a mischievous young man enjoying his easy win over a young girl only for that smirk to change into a heart rending cry when the same girl delivered her killer blow, tearing his world asunder , leaving him in ruins !! Not lagging very far behind is SANAYA who showed the chameleon like quick change between a plucky girl, a girl helplessly yielding to family pressures to a confused girl who senses her man's pain but is constrained by bonds and can only watch from sidelines...Is All lost for this couple ?? what do the Symbols foretell ??
First comes the Milk ... we find Anjali and Khushi frantically searching for Shyam's ring , A ring which had been reposing in the sugar can letting go of the poison, bitterness in it and imbibing the sweetness of the sugar ..Anjali thinks that she has taken it for safe keeping , but discovers that it never was in her hands.. HP helps in reminding them that the the ring might have fallen into the MILK !!..Now comes the stellar role of MILK ...MILK from the ages has always been considered as a purifier , a vital offering to God, ..When Shyam's ring falls into the milk, it gets purified, stands cleansed of its malafide intentions .. Shyam's ring undergoes regeneration and comes out as the RING..A ring awaiting its destiny afresh, devoid of its previous meaning, A ring which has lost its significance post the dip in milk ... What happens to the ring then? It is taken by Lakshmi , the Goat [ Goat is considered to be a God of spring, regeneration, re-growth and fertility ] and handed into the safe keeping of Arnav Singh Raizada ..But here again Arnav is not the owner ,he is the custodian of the ring ...
When the rightful owner aka Khushi comes in and stakes her claim over the ring, Arnav hands it over to Khushi .. but then this again is unacceptable to fate for aren't these two destined to be together ..How then can this ring be handed over,...Now we come to the role of Anjali..Anjali is the Suhagan, the eldest in Malik Family [ Arnav's real khandani name] ..She it is who picks up the ring .. Holds out her hand, accepts Khushi's hand thereby accepting Khushi into the family fold, seals it by slipping the ring on to Khushi's hand ..while Arnav watches this action silently, accepting the relationship ..
The slipping of the ring can also be interpreted as Anjali handing over her Arnav to Khushi willingly , happily .. [as can be seen , Arnav will be in the middle of the two women]
The third interpretation is [ despite his deep love ] Arnav will wholly accept Khushi only after Anjali places her seal of approval , since we see Arnav turning towards Khushi as Anjali begins to push the ring into Khushi's Hand ...
Another Scene that stuck in my mind was Arnav holding onto Khushi's hands, not letting her go implying that Khushi is bound to him and he will not let go even when other relations intrudes ...but not so with Khushi, we saw Khushi placing her self respect way higher than a non-existent relationship, walking out with her head held high ..watched in quiet anger by Arnav ...only for her to bow down before family compulsions, expectations and walking back..which makes me think that she will be forced to walk back into the relationship and Arnav who was on the verge of throwing away the relationship will welcome her back, this time accord her the respect she deserves , treat her with gentleness, tenderness
A special mention to Jayshree [ Nani] and Abash ... The former for dancing with so much verve even at this age, she easily was the best dancer amongst the 5 women there...Abash came for few seconds and easily conveyed that Shyam was fast losing his Goody two shoes demeanor, his obsession beginning to take over and the calm, lucid, collected Shyam is hanging on by a thin thread ..one snip and the monster kept hidden will take over eclipsing Shyam , the Goody Goody Man..
