I too wouldn't want to see Anjali turn negative even if the dynamics of her relationship with Khushi may change because of the snake.

Yes, Laxmi seems to be Shyam's jewelry carrier! I hope she does not question Khushi's loyalties.

Here it nearly got crushed under Arnav's shoes. After Arnav's efforts to find its owner, it makes a trip to Anjali's jewelery box which is later put inside a sugar container. All the sweetness in the box appears to have not had much effect on it because the wrong man who purchased it denies knowledge of its existence. Sadly it could not even remain safe inside the box for long because it ends up in a glass of milk which was originally meant for Nani but later gets offered to the pet goat.(In some communities they pour milk to the dead as part of the ritual, so I think that the ring falling into the milk glass can be taken to be the demise of Khushi-Arnav engagement.)

The ring travels on the goat's belt (thankfully not through the goat's bowels which could have been a stinker!) and returns to Arnav who uses it to extract an apology from Khushi. Our self-respecting miss, however, refused to give in and asked him to keep it, showing just how much importance she gave it. If Khushi's bua had not intervened in the opportune time and emotionally blackmailed her into getting it back, it would have been thrown away by the angry man. Luckily it got a second lease of life as poor Khushi, with all her khushi wiped out of her face, pleads with Arnav to return it to her. Moved by her tears he hands it over to her. When he sees her struggling to put it on her wounded finger, he tries to help her slip the ring in only to find her snatch her finger back and drop the bombshell that it was her engagement ring. The guy may have well been electrocuted hearing these words and the ill fated ring gets dropped once again and rolls to the feet of the wrong man's wife who finally puts it on Khushi's finger.

So finally the ring has reached the right finger after a lot of drama but the purpose for which it was originally meant was defeated.
If anything, it made sure that the right man knows of its existence so that he can nip any prospect of a follow-up wedding of Khushi with the wrong man. Now will the right man take the right decision or hasten towards another wrong decision?

By the way, Anjali slipping the ring on Khushi's finger seemed to indicate to me that this ring has established a bond between Anjali and Khushi and not between Shyam and Khushi. So when the troubled times arrive, Khushi will willingly accept any hardship for the sake of Anjali's happiness. Going by Buaji's words, the vein in the left finger connects to the heart and hence by putting the ring on that finger Anjali has established that bond with Khushi's heart. Since Arnav has already put the bandage ring on that finger, now both the siblings have bonded with Khushi.

@OPTI...I have always looked ffwd for your posts, with symbolism on most of the epis. But, today I was DESPERATELY dying to read.Frantically...searching.
My heart sank towards the end...the brilliant acting by Barun...showing all those conflicting emotions of pain, restlessness, shock ...& helplessness.
Infact, when the ring went back to Khushi's 'right' finger..I was so depressed thinking -OH NO!! eventually the sham marraige will take place between KKG & Shyam...and maybe later Anj would leave when she finds Slimeballs intention. That was really heartbreaking for me...too confusing for me...as I was trying to symbolise everything while watching.
But, whilst reading your post...I could feel the relief in my breathing...and hope it goes that way.
I dunno...as someone said in one of the posts...these two don't need any one in particular to cause any hitch between them..as they are so drowned in their egos...thats enuf to tear them apart...especially ARnav who breathes anger with a monumental ego.
I wouldn't want them to get married to wrong partners...later realise their mistake and then come back...its too much of agony .It would destroy Khushi's free spiritedness as when she would know the real intention of Shyam was just Lust. She wld be totally brokenAnd seeing Khushi broken...Arnav would go deeper in his Black Hole.
No!!No!!!...I can't even go on those lines...it wld be Ektaaish!!! Nai Nai!!! Kabhi Nai!!
Lovely Post Opti!!!👏

Well said Opti, as usual... I rarely commet on your thread as you say it all, i dont hv much to add so just like your post.

But you knw watching the last part today, i thought of something else. That actually reminded me of my engagement. Actually in Islam, guy comes to the sagai but the ring is actually put on the girl's finger by the mother in law. Sine Arnav only has his sis, she did it.

Although I knw yur take is more likely to wht the director may hv had on his mind while doing this scene lol

Just wanted to share this anyway.

Your admirer always,
Tas :-)
