Yes...as I wrote...Arnav has indeed been compared to many literary figures including Mr. Rochester, Mr. Darcy, Mr. Jakyl & Mr Hyde, and Mr. Rhet Butler!! Thats the beauty of the way Cvs have devloped this character...one can see so many parallels in him...Of course the nonbelievers say...that it is us who project all these characters...and not the CVs who really didn't think of him in so much depth...

In any case...coming back to Mr. Rochester...yes I do see some similarities in the story and the characters...but I think with Jane Eyre...the plot is more similar and the chracater of Khushi has more parallels with Jane Eyre...than Arnav's character with Mr. Rochester...who actually marries his first wife for money...right? I wonder if the Cvs read this board to see what an epic figure Arnav Singh Raizada has become that we don't think twice before comparing him to all this classic characters...Now when was the last time that happened with a TV actor?

I checked with few replies and that reflected my thoughts...ASR is what he is, the self destructive character is not imposed on him by others, He can be compared Black hole from which nothing escapes (Few days ago someone made a beautiful post on this)
And Devdas n Paro were childhood friends na?! by the promos their past was connected in some way
I hope the Devdas in him stops with brooding

All I am saying is that Arnav is behaving in a similar manner... I have faith in the CVs..that they will not make this story go the same way...enough hints of Arhi marriage have ben dropped to keep us reassured of that in the darkets hours which are approaching...For the first time I feel like being thankful for having a character like Shyamu in the plot...without him no hope for ASR...as Darcyfan said earlier in this thread...he needs snake intervention to wake up...😆

devdas is a tragedy, i hope IPK is not.
it will have loads of sad moments but thats where similarities end.

Arnav might have declared his love for kushi in the spur of moment because he is very passionate and when he sets his mind nobody can stop except kushis tears . I guess thats why shyam exposure plays vital here. I hate myself for saying this exactly arnav hates himself for loosing control over kushi 😉 but shyam is very much required for arhi union 🤔

actually i like that shyam is married and Arnav though will end up choosing anjali's happiness will have to marry kushi who is actually his happiness too. The way CVs have yet again a smart move, as anu mentioned in her post this show does not actually need any scheming people or vampires because the ego and pride and selfrespect of the leads are sufficient to keep accepting their love for each other .

though i still have my doubt (due to too much k-shows overdose)
about arhi marriage. CVs can drag this as much as they want.
But hoping the show airs at prime time and SP wants its bahu
i still have my hope on year end marriage 😆

once arhi marriage is over i will say to CVs fine i am ready bring all the stuff i am ready to take on.

I have never liked the character Devdas..I somehow felt he had arrogance..even towards love...he felt he never realised the value of Paro until he lost her. But ASR is arroagant but not towards his love..he has a fear which is from his past ..we have to learn the past to see why he is so scared of loving..maybe he is scared he might lose kushi after he loves her..so he is runnign away from love. So Devdas and ASR are very different for me..I never sympathised with Devdas..infact the pain he gave Paro..I was never able to forgive him.
