... and marraige. It all looks as it has no importance in the society or in relationships !
It depends on the society in which we live
Marraige is a lifelong promise and commitment and engagement is the first step towards that promise.
Agreed
The way you are portraying these rituals is really upsetting and insulting to the sanctity of a marraige. Marraige is an institution.
I beg to differ here. IMHO, so far the CVs have not mocked at any ritual. Infact its the other way round., they have tried to elevate the essence. In addition, there has not been any scene so as to insult the sanctity of a marriage.
It seems as if you are mocking the whole concept: The sequences you have shown till now...
1) First and foremost...Shyam although been married has the liberty to play with two innocent lives...he with Khushi's adopted family forces the poor girl into a forced engagement completely against her will.
Shyam plays the negative role in this show. And people like him are out there in this real world. Yes, he is trying to get into a farce relationship. But that is the ultimate point isnt it ? How Shyam inspite of being an ardent devotee of Devi Mayya tries to sabotage relationships and gets whip lashes in return (read the so called engagement) while Arnav, being angry with Devi Mayya for the hardships he has faced is being helped by Her by sending Kushi to end all his miseries.
2) Shyam is almost getting away with a crime Bigamy ( funny he is a lawyer).
He is trying to get away, but has he really ? No. the series didnt end to make conclusions out of it.
3) You show a dramatic engagement between ASR and Khushi in the tekple with chants and bells. What was the meaning ?
The meaning is, eventhough Kushi and Arnav try to stay away from each other, they cannot. It is destined for them to be a man and a wife. And this is Devi mayya's decision and hence forth her witness along with her blessings.
4) Now, ASR wants an engagement with LA with whom he basically does not even have a friendship.
This is ASR. He is not acting. He is counter-acting ! His decisions once were taken according to his will. But everything changed once Kushi entered his life. He is now taking decisions solely based upon Kushi's actions. He is busy calculating them to prove that he can break her morals, not realizing that he is the one being hurt the most.
Do you really have nothing worthwhile to show other than fake engagements and farce marraiges?
There has not been any fake engagement and farce marriages in this show, atleast according to me. Shyam did not put the ring in her right (left) finger, at the right moment and most importantly with no blessings from the bride's father. So this is no engagement (atleast not ritually).
I would really appreciate that you spare us from ASR and LA engagement, because logically you will be discrediting the whole dramatic supposedly ASR and Khushi engagement...not to mention the trps will go down through the drains.
We really have to wait and see as ASR has only announced his engagement. I am not jumping the gun.
Anyways, I really like Khushi's character in IPKKND and you have managed to degrade her enough...I have begun to lose interest already...I know there are many out there who are in the same shoes as me.
IMHO, Kushi's character is very much intact. Like ASR, she too has too many layers. Its about the matter of patience to peal, analyze and dissect her character.
And I am very much loving this show. It has managed to interest me from day 1 and amazingly, its growing day by day.
