The quintessential Angry Young man from the numerous Mills n Boons books I've read over the years, has left me with a very tangible image of a man that I wish existed for real.
But he does not. And for a certain extent I wish he never does. His magical presence, his complete and utter manliness might get tarnished with what we call, "reality."😛

I had never in a million years hoped to "see" him. Not even on screen. Because he is not a very easy person to portray, by anyone. The many movies I have seen of and about the classic romance with the classic brooding man, has never satisfied me or gave me the feeling of absolute contentment, like I get when I read about him in books.
I know exactly what you mean!! I too have continued to search for 'him' - to find a face that would fit my imagination, that would make me sit back with the smug belief that at last, I have "seen" him! I think I came close a couple times 😆 but satisfaction seemed to elude me! 😉
That man is the only reason why I was never into the dating business. Never boy-friend hopped! Never felt the need to flirt with good looking men! However good looking they might be, they always fell short when compared with HIM.
I came close to "seeing" him only once. And so I married him! 😃 You dont expect me to let go of a live-breathing THE GUY, now, do you? 😆 I know you are proud of me. 😆😆😆
But true satisfaction, feeling the ESSENCE of him eludes me too. Real men always fall short from our imagination, dont they?
But after watching tonight's episode for maybe the 30th time, without any breaks, I've come to the marvelously surprising conclusion that I have, finally, found the man of my dreams on screen. (Not Barun Sobti, people. But its none other than, Arnav Singh Raizada).
Until, one day, idly flipping through channels, I stumbled on ASR. In those few seconds, I sat up and took notice. In a dazed state, I went back right to where it all began. Believe me when I tell you, I was stunned speechless. The moment he stepped of the helicopter, I was hooked (pathetic, isn't it? 😆) It wasn't the looks - it was the sheer arrogance, the aura of being in control, the stride, as if he owned everything he walked on...grabbed me by the throat!! 😆 And I every time I see him on screen, the different facets that make the man, I continue to be stunned at his (im)perfection! 😉

I thank God, again, that he is still not "real". I can see him, watch him anytime I want to, but still, at the end of the day, he is just a character. Played by a dreamy Barun Sobti. Amen to that!! 😆 I could not have handled someone like that in real life! He would have been dead a long time ago! 🤣 But as a character...I love him to death! And Barun as ASR is perfection personified!
Oh, true that! Someone like that in real life, would be injurious to HIS health as well as my health!!! 😆
And all the credit for this amazing character, lies with Barun Sobti and whoever the writers are, their creative genius have definitely been spawned from the same freakishly amazing fountain as moi. 😛 You can say that again!
LOVED Barun's performance tonight to no end. How it was played out, was classic Arnav. Absolute classic.
Notable moments:
- LOVE how the music changes when Arnav's eyes goes from tender to HEAT!! (Credit for this probably goes to the creative team and the director. Background music score - one word, AWESOME!) The fact that I managed to recognize when his eyes changed from tender to heat, KUDOS to Barun. Absolutely amazing I tell you!! There was longing in his eyes, just before the music changed...did you notice. My poor heart skipped a beat then! 😆
Oh yes, woman! I did! I DID! I was HOOKED, BOOKED and COOKED while watching that scene! SO electrifying, so magical, so, so...UFFF! And the longing,,,,Omg..i cant believe no one else noticed the pure unadulterated LONGING in his eyes!
- How truly remarkable he was during the song sequence/almost kissing scene. The eyes, lost in Khushi, calmly and slowly stalking her to a corner, and throughout the whole scene his EYES!! o m g! How he didn't let his eyes close, even for a second, never taking his eyes off her face, reading every single, minute expression there, how he was rudely awakened from the wonderful spell he was in..and in an instant the expression on his face, the HEAT, turning to shock!! My favorite! One of the most well shot sequences - the blue water shimmering on their face. He was so intense...focused on what he wanted. My mouth was hanging open through the entire sequence...not very dignified, especially when you are eating lunch at work 😆
Three cheers for Barun for making that scene look so effortless!
Dignified?? I REVEL in looking like a fool with the most unattractively sappy expressions on my face while watching Barun on screen! 😆😆😆
That scene is one of my favorite scenes too. of the whole show so far.
- how SHOCKED he was when he realized what he was doing!!!!! How he moved away from her and closed eyes...uff!
- And how sexy his voice was when he said" leave me alone!"
- How HUSKY his voice was when he said, again, "I said just leave me alone!"
- How beautiful his English sounds. How truly great it is, that he knows WHEN to use English! This, I will say what continues to get to me! No matter what kind of scene he does, this, for me stands out. I must mention the mitti scene, when he tells her to take mud from the other pot and Khushi just stares at him. Never knew a "Go" could sound so bloody sexy!! Yeah, I am a goner all right! 😉
TELL about it, duude! Unlike other TV actors who for some reason sounds rehearsed with their English dialogues..looking like as if they are TRANSLATING the hindi to English while speaking, Barun looks as if he actually THINKS in English while speaking them! THAT is the true trick, I believe to make it look SO effortless.
That mitti scene (loved it), and you remember the scene where he faints..and Khushi throwing water on his face, and him looking so weak but still managing to spew out a very ASR-ish, "stop it!!!* I might have sighed at that!!!!! 😉

- And how he closes his eyes , when he realizes he has hurt her and made her cry!
- How he DID NOT answer any of her questions!
He is so arrogant, does not think he needs to answer her questions. I know...he has no answers, not even for his own questions, then what can he give poor Khushi!
Damn - that is why I love him! 😆 I also love the way he clenches his jaw in anger/ frustration...gives me goosebumps!! 😆
Awww!!! Dammit for sure!!! He is so full of contradictions, flaws, and other numerous so called "negative" attributes, but how I love this man!
I never WANT him to ANSWER her questions in WORDS!
He should do it ASR style and just bloody grab and DO SOMETHING!!! Hopefully Khushi will be able to figure it out then! I would cringe if he starts saying I love you and behaving like another ordinary run-off-the-mill lover boy!
- How his tortured, slightly mad, eyes brimming with anger..searched for her face in the crowd while talking of marriage to another woman! He kept looking at her!! Even in a roomful of people who were obviously so happy, he had eyes only for her! **sigh**

- And the precap, "tum khush ho" knowing full well she is not. And neither is he. What I really want to know is what made him agree to take her home!! 😆 I guess for that I have to wait until tomorrow.
Me too. I hope he doesn't dump her on the streets like his usually does. I want him to HEAR Khushi assuring him that she is happy and fine, and HIM not believing a single word of it.
