Sorry! It will be a long wait unfortunately.

Honestly I'm not as motivated as I usually am and I have a couple of assignments to get done so there will be no FF updates until the 15th of January at least.

I might still write a couple of OS's if I get inspired though.

Hope you'll still be eager to read them when I get around to them eventually!

Day 12

Preview:

'Were you expecting someone else?' Arnav asked as he moved backwards and pulled the other chair next to hers with the table in between separating them.

'Well yes, I had asked my secret boyfriend to come and meet me today but obviously he's stood me up.' Khushi grinned and raised her eyebrows questioningly at Arnav as she noticed the tray on the table.

Arnav watched her blush and grit his teeth together at what he was hearing. It had been blatantly obvious yesterday at the dining table that N.K had a crush on Khushi but he hadn't expected it to be reciprocated. And why was Lavanya even encouraging it? Didn't she know...

'KISS?! You want me to kiss Nanheji?!' Khushi's face grew even redder as she listened to Lavanya explain how it was customary to kiss at 12 o'clock when the New Year began.

'Hello, you must be Suhana? This is my brother Arnav.'

Arnav looked at Khushi standing next to Dhruv out of the corner of his eye before he stepped forward and smiled widely. 'Hi Suhana, how are you? Let's leave the adults in the study and go to the living room.'

The sound of footsteps through the door had Arnav stiffening, fighting the urge to leave and never look back. The door opened and Arnav released a breath he hadn't realised he was holding. The desire to leave rose up again, Di was always going on about fate and kismet and although Arnav didn't usually believe any of that he was more than willing to believe it at that moment if it meant he could continue to live his life in denial.

Preview:

Khushi looked at the man in front of her who lay looking lifeless and so weak. Babuji had taken her in when she had nothing, had done nothing but love and support her. And in return, she had run away as soon as things got a little difficult. Abandoned him so selfishly, found somebody else to love and support her and never once looked back.

Khushi slowed down as she approached his door. She had seen his eyes, red rimmed and swollen as he had rushed past the dining table where she'd been talking until late with Payal and Akash.

Arnav held his breathe as he heard the footsteps come to a stop outside his door. He hit the bed with his fist as he heard them walk away again, hating himself for wanting her to come to him, hating her for even stopping and giving him any hope.
