SO this means he used to be fun loving... even in the flashback of the wedding scene, he is telling Anjali she looks good by signing to her and smiling from ear to ear and wearing traditional Indian clothes!

THAT was Arnav Mallick at 15... this is Arnav Sigh Raizada aka "ASR" now...it's like he stopped being Arnav Mallick that day, and everything that used to define him and CHOSE to become ASR... someone completley different! Almost like if he changes who he is, then he can control everything that happens to him... HENCE the denouncement of love, emmotions, dependancy etc that HE thinks will make him a victim again!

However, Arnav Mallick is still in there... so I think now Kushi has started to bring him out!
