The break up and the BFF moment

How often do we witness a sensible one on one conversation on Indian television?

Rarely.

That too, when the male lead breaks up with one of his flings?

Never.

When was the last time we saw a male lead getting dumped (without the whole thing appearing comical, offensive or not up to our sensibilities in any way?)

I don't know. Do you?

Despite all the mindless stuff we endure for the sake of Arhi, certain scenes (excluding Arhi scenes) actually stand out and keep us hooked to this show. The sibling bondings, father-daughter convos, cute little family moments make us appreciate the show as a whole.

The questionable aspect of this show was Arnav-Lavanya relationship. In simple words, it never made much sense. We never saw what made them a couple in the first place. Arnav was ice-cold and uncaring and Lavanya was a doormat. It made us question the integrity of Lavanya's character.

Lavanya's friendship with Khushi helped redeem her character to a certain level but we still questioned her dignity.

We all waited for the moment when La would grow a backbone and demand an explanation from ASR.

Our wait finally became over and I must say it was worth watching.

So what are the things that made it worth watching?

1. Lavanya questioning if now Arnav sees her as a wife.

2. Arnav making himself clear that he is tired of repeating the same thing he expects Lavanya to remember that and that he fails to understand a changed Lavanya.

3. Arnav making it clear that he never made any false promises

4. Lavanya explaining that she now wants to get married.

5. Lavanya questioning whether ASR truly loves her and cares about her.

6. Arnav making himself clear that he cannot offer anything more and it's up to her to decide whether she still wants to continue this,

7. Lavanya walking out with grace.

8. ASR ' s tumhaari marzi

It truly seemed like a couple's conversation. An actual break up. Something we witnessed for the first time.

The best part was when Lavanya says "ASR please chillao matt. I don't want the whole family to hear this. Lavanya truly became a part of the family.

Lavanya and Khushi bonding was a treat'. Lavanya trying to stop ASR saying anything to Khushi and not blaming Khushi for the break up. It was nice to see that her character was never negative, she was always just human and a good friend.

Yeah LOVED La today, and hope they have a story line for her! I hope she hooks up with Druv and becomes ASR's sister in law! THAT will be a treat to watch! Ex's as in laws! Not the first time it would have happened...

I think La needs to stick to her guns and NOT even THINK of revisiting the ASR relationship. She was always the scapegoat of the "Arnav-Nani face off"... so it's a good thing if she holds on to some of the things she learned from Kushi, and finds a man who DOES want her to be his wife and partner for life! She desveres it!

I also there's a story line for her. But we still don't know if this dhruv exists!! I did not like nani's behavior at all. She made it from the very beginning that she didn't like La but today she was completely insensitive.

I loved Lavanya today, it was so good to see her standing up for herself and not making Arnav treat her like a doormat. Lavanya finally made it known she was a human being and wasn't going to live the rest of her life like this. I hope Lavanya never goes back to Arnav she deserves someone who will treat her with respect and who will actually love her

I liked the part when she said, "mujhe pata mijhe kya nahi chahiye".i don't wana be just your girlfriend all my life.

She deserves respect. Unfortunately, none of the Raizadas were able to do that.

La definitely stood up for what she believed in today.

I'm glad she opened up and questioned Arnav about what she felt she needed to know.

But Nani was sooo ugh yesterday.. everyone was feeling bad about the situation and she's the only one celebrating?! How insensitive & childish!

The convo between La & Khushi was awesome - La made Khushi understand that it wasn't because of her that they broke up.

La has put in so much efforts and that's a good sign but I dunno why Nani still hates her even after all what she did.

Nani is cleary not a good judge of character. She hates La but adores that Creep Shyam!!
