Oh Sush!

the passion thing is such a switch on switch off thing isnt it..

they seem to forget what happened yesterday in the lives of the character and sometimes... even with us...

and they are like raat gayee baat gayee..

at least here she had the feel good factor of beaming due an apology from the mighty ASR but fell pretty flat when she saw his surly face..
and said,, back to the rakshas now...

at least that moment made me feel good all is not forgotten.. and then wham bonus..his sorry!

ye toh yoon ke..sone pe suhaaga jaisi baat ho gayee *basanti style*

now again..i guess the feeling is why she is interfering with their lives..when he has not replied in affirmation to the marriage, when he told la that he will never maker her his wife..and la told khushi...

why does khushi still want to put her hand in his mouth?

one part is nature
one part is new found understanding with him
one part is part of job to make her wife of ASR (somewhere her job will be complete if ASR agrees for a marriage)
one part complacency of being right about her idea of marriage..and he despite having showed her what charcter dheela comment could get her..as consequence, she still persists for one part ther eis confidence that he wont really hurt her?

and above all she is a catalyst, catalyst that will combust Arnav Singh Raizada into moment of enlightenment..that he has fallen for her...
he will know tomorrow...that he saw her as a bride..

what movie was it... apni aankhein band karo and bolo kaun..dikhai deta hai... ah Dil Chahta Hai - Aamir khan moment... what he has not acknowledged so far..will hit him like ton of bricks..

notice the anger is simmering... but somewhere the bellowing anger is not there..he is mincing his words..there was please... there was words that said..i can cross my limits...for his senses are out of control...

he may not utter her (khushi's) name when he sees the dulhan... with ghunghat over her head.. but he will see a picture of her..

today was prelude, set up for tomorrow's stage...

lets see what happens...

i could be completely stumped of course..if any of this does not happen...

Well, here is my take.

Arnav, has figured it out. He definitely knows who he does not want to marry. Now, the real task is how to get out of this hot mess. Breaking up with Lavanya means exit of Khushi, Naani's I told you so ..she was not the right girl. The most important one is how to win Khushi over. Lot of figuring out to do. Tomorrow, might be pivotal.

Lavanya needs to hold her head high at this point and leave him. He has made no physical overtures towards her. Barely, has had a nice word or even made an effort to go out with her, do fun stuff. Today, flatly told her that she would never be his wife. Where is your pride, Lavanya? I know she is blinded by her love for him. She is a sweet girl and needs to face up to the truth.

Khushi dressing her up as bride & setting up the stage for the SR is just an 18yr old romantic mind. She does feel for Arnav, but in her mind perhaps she considers him a man belonging to another woman and will not entertain any thoughts of desiring him. Even if she did have a dreamy thought of Arnav and her heart went pitter patter...she probably felt he was out of her league. He did bring the Aukad subject a few times.

Marriage is the only way for Khushi to realize, Arnav and she are soul mates. Khushi would never venture out of the norms of tradition, She lives and breathes the customs. Arnav will have to take a leap into what he dreads -Marriage. In order to have his KHUSHI. By the looks of the lost, tormented man, I think he is ready to take the plunge.

Or is it that she (unknowingly) is pushing Arnav to answer if he wants La or not...Am I being too clever here? May be I am projecting...but I do think you are right about the nature and complacency part...

Doesn't he flatly tell Khushi so many things he does not mean? Like I never want to see your face...Why should La take him for real? Just being the Devil's advocate here...

Hi Sush, I can honestly say that I missed your posts. You really are a very talented writer. Kisi ke liye nahi toh apne iss fan ke liye please keep posting! Loved your analysis! I think that Khushi is not even aware that she is attracted to him. They always get upclose and personal, there has to be something. I guess will have to wait and see!
