I was totally amused by the befuddled ASR. The man has got to practice! practice I say! giving an apology. So long has it been since he has recognized that he has done something wrong and here's the new part (let's face it, he knows he can be errr prickly - pun intended), so wrong that he will make the time to admit it and ASK FOR FORGIVENESS!!!! ohhh new territory and ohhh my does he have wobbly knees. The voice modulation, the comic timing, the perplexed looks - brilliant Barun. (side note - can someone please tell me if the writing and directing is the same team as the one who brought us the Goatwa Chronicles earlier??? This is comedy I can appreciate and I want to know if they were holding out on us.)
So let's see what exactly ASR has to do to be successful by looking at the successful apology that sparked his realization - Shyam and Anjali.
Step 1 - Chase down the apologizee. Shyam was on Anjali like white on rice - even sweeping her up. ASR get your butt to that party - STAT!
Step 2 - Put the acid tongue away and bring out the sweetness - whether it be gajras or something else. If ASR could just spare the insults, I would consider that sweet.
Step 3 - Admit that you made a MISTAKE!!!!!!! ASR has done this, it's tickling his mind and he is restless. It's not everyday that he owns a mistake and he took the day off - like a national mistake recognition holiday - to release himself from this uneasiness. How dare KKG not show up to relieve him of this newfangled burden. (I love the way he calls her by her 3 names and then calls her 'woh ladki'...you're done dude, totally gone - ta ta bye bye)
Step 4 - Say you are sorry and don't smell of arrogance when you do it. ASR BIG FAIL. MMM...yes say it with me...mmmaaafffiii. I am waiting for it to come out all Daar like - k k k khushi m m m maaaf k k koro.
Step 5 - Forgive. This one is not for ASR or Shyam. This is for the apologizee to gift the apologizer. Khushi Kumari Gupta does not hold grudges, so I am hoping she smiles and then leaves slowly, stopping to palat and leave him with sound of jingling pom poms.
