Darling,
At times popularity overrules the so called 'A-class' list. Reason being? It's common knowledge that couples and shows whom are more popular tend to remain in the viewers heart and minds for a prolonged period of time. According to Star Plus 'A-list' shows are Saathiya and Yeh Rishta Kya etc etc (Too long - can't be bothered), but really? I doubt the main leads of the show are going to be remembered or even re-watched once the show comes to it's conclusion.
MJHT, DMG & Geet provided the audience with one of the most popular and loved celebrities and couples that are still crazed over till this day. So what if they never reached the 'A list'. If International viewership was counted; boring Saas Bahu dramas in Star Plus would have sunk down to the very pit.
So regardless of Geet or any Star one show not being able to reach the so called 'A list', the fact that the couples popularity is overwhelming - is enough. Remember, the world will only recall the loved 'jodi's'. Nobody is going to memorize nor remember the TRPS 🤣. *Unless they are little maniacs sitting behind a computer screen, obsessively scratching their face and chanting 0.7, 1.2, 05, 1.5*.
Star Plus dramas are like Abhishek Bachan. Well known due to his father and connections - but never popular. Btw - I'm not comparing him to this show since I happen to like it. This is for all the boring dramas that are in the 'A' list because of the heroines contribution to the nile river, increasing the amount of water with their tears. Hence inducing a tsunami. 😉
Cheers !
