Khushi & Payal are in a rickshaw, and reach the place where they'll be doing their pooja. Paying the driver, the girls begin looking for a stall so they can fill their thalis. Khushi tries to convince Payal into eating something, but Payal is adamant. They're not eating.

They find a stall, and Payal hands over her thali to be filled - she also asks for a dhaga. The man obliges, and fills Payal's thali. When Khushi passes hers, the man apologises and says that he's run out of dhaga and needs to quickly make some more. Khushi accepts, and tells Payal to go towards the prayer area - Khushi shouldn't be more than two minutes. Payal finally agrees, and leaves.

Meanwhile, the Raizada family (minus Nani, Mama & Lakshmi) have arrived at the same destination. Arnav winds his window down, looking around, not really noticing Khushi. With slight disgust, he finally gets out, trailing behind his siblings and aunt. Anjali needs to get her thali filled, and Arnav says he'll get it done. He walks off in search of a stall.

Khushi's thali is complete, and the man hands it to her - all while Arnav is searching for a stall. Khushi looks down at her thali, and makes sure she has everything. Arnav is still searching for a stall. They both walk in opposite directions... but before either realises, they've crashed into each other.

Rabba Ve is playing in the distance.
She collides into him, dropping the thali with a loud clang. He grabs her hand before she falls herself. She somewhat straightens up, and her voice is lost as she realises who's standing before her. It's him.
Her eyes widen, in shock. His eyes stare, and it seems he's in as much shock as her. Time stands still, but continues moving around them. It's as if they don't belong there. She looks fearfully at him, before noticing that he's still holding her hand. She starts squirming, trying to remove his strong grip.
He continues staring, only noticing the squirming when it becomes stronger against his hand. He almost refuses to let go, as if he's afraid of what might happen. But he lets go.. and she steps back automatically. His eyes harden at the sight. He should have realised.
Although there is distance between them, they continue to look at each other. Until she feels the powder in her eye. So she starts rubbing away, trying to get rid of it. He notices, and without warning or realisation, moves a finger towards her face to help relieve her of the pain.
Seeing the finger however makes her step back and flinch. She refuses his touch, and with more than a hint of anger at her apparent helplessness, she picks her thali from the ground and moves away.

Khushi goes back to the same stall, and asks for it to be refilled. The man acquiesces, and Khushi is standing there impatiently. Arnav sees Khushi, and walks up to the same stall. He passes over his thali to be filled. Noticing the closeness between them, Khushi sidesteps away from him. Arnav is lost in thought about Khushi's resignation. When the man passes over Khushi's thali, she walks away before Arnav can ask her anything.

Standing at the pooja place (I honestly don't know what to call it), both the Gupta girls and the Raizada family are ready to begin their poojas. Arnav has brought Anjali's thali, and their prayers begin.

Tu Hi Bata Mere Maula is playing now.
She's closed her eyes, asking for guidance. She's completing this pooja because she knows the ritual. He's standing there, disassociating himself from the entire pooja. Why he's here, he doesn't know - or well, he doesn't want to remember. He looks around, and stops. He's found her.
He watches her calm composure, her slight smile. Something settles in him - he feels compelled to watch her. As if he could protect her if something bad happened.
She finally opens her eyes, and is ready to leave... but she's seen him. And the smile becomes grim. In shock.
But just as something compelled him, it stops her from leaving. She looks as if she's drowning in his eyes, but whether she can bring herself to stop or not... she finally tears away from him, protecting herself from him.

Meanwhile, Anjali and Mami are still completing their poojas.. so Akash looks around himself.

PayAsh's background music is humming softly around them.
He watches a dupatta fly around in the air... and realises it's that dupatta, the one he bought for her. Could it be?
He watches, trying to get a glimpse of her face... and finally, he does. His heart forming a smile on his face. It's her.
She's praying, asking for guidance during this day. She's fervent in her prayer, and all he can do is watch, almost worshiping her fervency. Her eyes finally open, and she realises her dupatta has been flying around all this time. She smiles bashfully trying to get it to stay still.
He almost cricks his neck trying to continue watching her...

Anjali realises Akash has been staring at someone, and follows his gaze. She smirks gleefully, and looks back at Akash who has a sheepish smile on his face. They're ready to leave.

Payal and Khushi are also ready to leave, and begin walking away when Anjali notices Khushi, and calls out to her. Khushi turns, sees Anjali and smiles. They exchange pleasantries, and then Anjali notices the powder on Khushi's clothes. Having noticed it on Arnav, Anjali hopes they haven't fought or anything.

Khushi says nothing, and Arnav steps behind Anjali, distancing himself further from the scene. By now Mami & Akash have come, and Khushi introduces Payal. Khushi then notices Akash, and is confused as to why he's here. Mami interferes and says that's her son. Khushi is momentarily shocked, but says nothing. Akash smiles bashfully again.

Payal then apologises for the phonecall when Khushi was missing - and Mami insults Payal indirectly. Anjali stops the awkwardness, and says that as elder sisters, they can never stop worrying about their younger siblings. Anjali looks back towards Arnav as he is still distancing himself. Anjali then says for Payal not to worry about Khushi as she's extremely brave and has a lot of strength.

Khushi looks ready to go, and Anjali asks where they'll be completing their fast. Khushi explains where, and Anjali is excited - they'll be there as well. Before moving to leave, Anjali tells Khushi how to get rid of the powder stain, and then they leave.

Payal & Khushi look for a rickshaw, as the Raizada family all move towards their SUV. Arnav looks in Khushi's direction and hardens. He gets in, and they drive off. Khushi and Payal also leave on a rickshaw.

Back at home, Arnav is given a towel to wipe off his stains... but he just can't seem to get her out of his head. He thinks of the day's events, and throws the towel angrily. He tells himself that no one has ever shown him the impudence or the insult that Khushi has. He wonders what strength Khushi Kumari Gupta has. The episode ends.

Precap: Shyam is getting ready to leave, and Bua catches him leaving, before asking him what's in the bag he's holding. Meanwhile Anjali is getting her mehndi done, and says for the artist to paint her husband's name on her hand. The artist asks the name...
