Tv shows move on the way of superhit novels!

The upcoming new tv shows have moved a step forward and have started to droll over the novel world. The latest is Shobha somnath ki from zee tv which is based on a mythological indian novel that was a appreciated work in novel world. The success of Muktibandhan which is an offering by colors that is based on novel muktibandhan a gujarati novel that claimed huge success is the source of inspiration for everyone and now Star plus latest prime time show Is pyaar ko kya naam dun that is becoming famous among the youth in its starting week is also based on a superhit and well acclaimed novel but though this time with a slight difference as the show is loosely based on the superhit international novel 'Pride and Prejudice' And 'Persuasion' by Jane Austen. Lets hope that these novels bring good trp's for channels and fun for the viewers to get hooked on their favourite show!!

Considering the fact that television is moving towards fresh stories though inspired by novel world is a good step to innovate the television world and appreciate the work of great writers!!

i'd say it's more like Pride and Prejudice, cuz Elizabeth was outspoken and loud like Khushi (not as much, but in the same sense). In Persuasion, the heroine was shy, silent, and not known for her beauty. but the angst element was all there, so 😃

but this article ain't a revelation for me 😆 most romances have something to do with the great Jane Austen!

P&P and Persuasion? Really ?? Poor Austen, must be spinning in her grave somewhere...

Has the writer of the article even read either of the two? Just because the hero is shown to be broody and moody doesnt mean the show is based on Austen's work!!!

😆😆😆😆😆

@anu I have never thought that the show is based on any novel😲 but after reading the article and reporter's view now I have started to compare the novel characters with the show characters😆😃 and seriously yaar now I can also say that the show is loosely based on the novel specially pride and prejudice😃 hatts off to the cv's👏 they have used the novel in an awesome and modern way😆😉 haven't read persuasion so no comments on that😉

All TV soaps (love story) are based on Pride and Prejudice . Male lead's character is always grafted based on Mr. Darcy and female lead always based on Miss Bennet.
Similarly, all films where both the lovers die are based on Romeo Juliet.
That is the reason - these works are known as Classics
