My take from the other thread:
Honestly, I LOVED the epi.
And in case anyone had doubts that this show is typical, it's not.hey ishu 😳yes from my side honestly i also liked it very good epi it was first but with this epi it made me to stick with tomorrow's epi and story cvs did fab job no doubt 👏
It was fab! Will expand later!
Edit: My take!!
So, the first episode. Usually, first epis are pretty slow in terms of pace, cause most characters are introduced, their personalities, their traits, their families, everything is introduced. So nothing really happens in terms of development. u got right point what i felt 😳 they showed story in good speed i mean not in hurry but they captured everything in this one epi without break 😃
However, for me, this episode was one of the best first epis of any show.
The way the epi began, with the shots of Lucknow, the setting of the wedding, it looked beautiful.
Then, the way they showed the sisters' scene was lovely and so real. I loved Khushi's accent specifically, it's amazing to see how Sanaya picks up these small things so easily and makes them so believable. yes i added this in my take as well i loved culture and tradition with sanaya's lacknowy assent seriously they showed one typical middle class family of lacknow wonderfully as if we were watching real one family with that 😳
The way she was introduced, the camera shots were so well done. No OTT bg, no OTT dialogues. She's Khushi, but she's not over-bubbly. No OTT lines. ya very simple and sober way but very effective for any viewer 😳
Then coming to the song which they had for the sangeet, it was composed in a way that it was perfect for the occasion. actually i didn't get that song but as it was one wedding song so no big deal it was only one intro part of that occasion
Barun's acting did impress me. The story associated with his coming back to Lucknow, the Sheesh Mahal's value for him, it was portrayed really well. And then, they showed Khushi and Arnav's totally opposite views in life. Khushi, on the one hand was going to speak to her sister's groom-to-be, to oppose the dowry demand, cause she felt that a man who doesn't have values isn't worth being with, while Arnav, evicts his own uncle from his ancestral house saying people who have morals are dumb. So, in one scene, their basic characters were brought through.yes they showed arnav's char and introduced his all povs very well which did impress me as well it was very nice to see and feel povs of leads so we can connect ourselves with them i myself didn't take much time to find that connection 😃those values and morals story everything was good with char and with story
Next the scene between Daljit and Barun was lovely. The same shrewd, insensitive businessman was in tears seeing his sister. That scene was so naturally done. Amazing work by Daljit.
I hope they continue with these sibling scenes! yes that was very well scene as well his sister tried to move on but both didn't with their past it showed their comfort and support level as well 😳
And of course, Sanaya-Barun looked great together. The last scene, again amazingly shot.
For me, the first epi had all it should. The actors are perfect for their roles, and each of them played their part really well. The scenes were subtle, and thank god for no OTT-ness. Dunno abt others, but I didn't realise when the epi ended. And considering the huge expectations I had, they've been met really well. So kudos to the CVs, the dialogue writers and the actors. yes both were very nice with their scene and precap gave more curiosity to watch next epi no doubt it was very mature way to show their char with their own essence with their first meeting not that duppatta falling and all but real one with char 😳
