It is very difficult to focus on your work when you are so disturbed... I closed my laptop and get back to have a coffee... The lights from the pc screen make me tried to the hell already. I walked down to the kitchen... Mom is in lunch preparation...when I came up to the kitchen she looked at me..
'why don't you take a break... It is almost one week you didn't get a peaceful sleep... Don't exhaust yourself... It is not good for your health... Look how thin you got...' The way she looked at me convey the concern and love towards me... I never asked god anything beyond my mom and dad... After I ignites the stove and kept the tea pan on it I walked up to her. I hugged her from behind... I felt the motherly warmth... I stay there like that untill the coffee ready...
I walked up to the room taking the coffee mug along with me... I felt her gaze from behind... I felt sorry for my mother.. How much she will suffer for her child... 'child' I kept my hands on my growing baby bump... How cute will after she came... I am waiting for the day when happiness return to my life...
I sip from the coffee mug and kept it aside... Doctor already advised me to not take coffee at this time... So one sip is enough for me... I return to my never ending works...
'astha...' I heard mom's voice near the door.. I withdrew my gaze from the screen and looked at her...
'get ready we need to go hospital...'
'for what... I am perfectly alright...'
'do you forget about the monthly check up...?' I checked my mobile... I already kept the reminder then why I forgot it... She already seen my tears weld up in my eyes...she ran up to me and warp her strong arms around me... I want to scream my lungs out over my fate... Oh god for what I deserve this... After a few minutes I composed myself and wiped my tears...
'mom, I will come soon. Don't worry I am k...' I assured her and closed the laptop... I saw she walked down the stairs... She is getting old. Her wrinkled face and white hairs is enough for recognize her age... I bolted my room and opened the cupboard for choosing a saree... But finally decided for salwar. It is way more comfortable in this Time.
When I came downwards mom is already waiting and talking to dad over the phone...
'what he said?' I asked
'he takes the appointment already... Come lets go...' She closed the front door and we sat together on the back seat of the car... Driver neatly reversed the car and drove to the busy roads of Pune...
