Thank you.

Very nice thoughts by all of you.
The peacock feather has a power to hypnotize the other person with love. Shlok has given it to Astha on Vd to shower his love for the rest of his life on Asth. It is one of the purest love of Srikrishna and Radharani. They become one in that love.
I could only decipher that much. Astha attracting IS with that is not a good way so I do not think that would be the reason.
Shlok is Srikrishna , and yes I do agree that Kartikeya who is Shiva's son destroyed the demon and his vahan is the peacock.

My views no intention of hurting anybody.

Suchi, thanks for the comment.

Aastha with her natural ebullient self will attract IS n not with the intent of seducing him to draw out his secrets. That would be against her character.

Shlok by gifting the feather to her on V day has only reaffirmed his love for her for 7 lifetimes. Agree with you that the love of Sri Krishna and Radha is one of the purest forms of love and theirs has reached that state after all their trials and tribulations.

Respect your POV. pls do post more.

Excellent write up dear Nimmy 👏👏. Thanks for enlightening us about peacock feather in detail ..had reading some replies, have to read all replies yet.
I have always liked Peocock feather and saved it in books when I was a kid...cherished it for its softness, brightness and how mesmerizing it looked ; I bet most of us did that.
But never knew it had so much hidden behind it. Love how it is linked to Sri Krishna and Radha Rani, now that Shlok, Astha are in a covert operation(though it does not make sense to me) his giving her the peocock feather to her describes it.
Deffo one of the writers is good at these symbolism's otherwise we would not have so many of them till date.
Will not rant much about the zero chemistry in the Vday episode which I felt but your explanation makes it up to me ...he could have handled it to her with much care, rub it on her cheek rather than handing it over simply. Really wanted to watch Valentines day episode after I felt like eons and it turns out to be dud, disappointment😲. Romance, sizzling chemistry between Aashlok is the USP of the show ad hope they dont forget it, till it ends. I can clearly see the absence of Waseem Sabir in their scenes ..he seems to be master of romance. Have not yet watched today's episode even though its holiday here as links wont work for me 😔.
Was talking to a Bengali friend the other day and she said Pishimaa means "Bua" (father's sister), so Kavitha is not Indrajeet's mother and Thakuma means "Dadi" (fathers mother). So may be Ahilya brought him up with all the love/warmth he is needed, they never mentioned about his parents if died in his young age or did they?? He is taking revenge of his Thakuma and not himself and he himself is wallowing in the sorrow of his beloved late wife; he will understand the pain of love birds once he finds out that Shlok-Aastha are lovers and married; he could not separate them.
What if NA had a love affair after his marriage to Anjali? And if Shlok is the son of Kavitha and not Anjali? That makes him again Krishna too, a boy with 2 mothers one who brought him up and other who gave him birth.
NA could have brought his son along with him and left Kavitha? That could be the reason for him showering all the love to Shlok and not other kids? Just a thought.

Hi Nimmy

I was expecting this type of post from some one like you , Deepa (DV), Vani , Saji ( honey pot ) or Rekha.

However, thanks for the detail explanation of the peacock feather in context of ASHLOK !!!

Already you all have gave a lot of explanation , I have nothing much to add.

Only thing I want to add in Context of Peacock feather as a Valentine gift from Hubby to BIwi -

'' Peacocks are adorned with the most spectacular, fan-like spread of rear feathers and they use them to attract females. The peahens choose their mate based on the length of the feathers and the eyespots on them'''

Probably , by giving a beautiful long peacock feather with a beautiful eye spot on it , Shlokie was giving a Se*ual proposal to Biwi on Valentine Day - a special day for lovers !!!
That's why BIwi gave a sweet Shy smile after accepting the feather indirectly accepting his '' ''mating proposal''.

Simply superb nimmi! Everyone on Avi AT and moi masti thread knows about my total fascination for peacocks and the feather. Even have a huge peacock tapestry in my apt.
Thanks to you and prads, googled this which I didn't even know ,,,

Peacock feather is an excellent vaastu remedy

peacock

With the mention of the word peacock, a rainbow of beautiful shades of blue, green and purple emerges in front of us. Not only is Peacock the National Bird of India but is also considered very lucky according to vaastu. Peacocks are connected with beauty, ride, popularity and happiness.

  • As per vaastu, one should keep a peacock feather which is popularly known as morpankh nea their locker. The peacock feather is said to attract wealth and gives stability.
  • Peacock is also associated with beauty. Painting of a lovely peacock in dancing position kept in the living room will add beauty, elegance and a charm to your living room.
  • Peacock feather is also very effective in removing any sort of negative energies or vaastu dosh in the house.
  • You may also keep a beautiful peacock painting or showpiece in your office.
  • Proper care should be taken that the peacock feathers which are being used for removing vaastu dosh of any particular room should not be treated like a showpiece. Dust should not be allowed to settle on top of it at all. This is particularly necessary as it is being used for some special reason in your house.
  • In ancient times peacock feather was used as a medicine in removing poison from one's body. This is the reason why a peacock feather is also associated with health and well being.
  • Peacock feather also maintains the hygiene of the house as it is said to be helpful in shooing away lizards from the house.
  • A lovely picture of a peacock in the bedroom is considered to increase the intimacy ad understanding of the couple. The picture or showpiece or painting of the peacock should be kept just in front of the door so that it takes away bad omen and negative energies o any sort right at the entrance of the bedroom.

Nimmo nice post .fantastic explanation about peacock feathers.
The gift was something different this time and he did some elaborate decorations too for astha..
I have nothing more to add as all of u touched the points clearly.

I agree it specifies the pride factor...showing astha is shloks pride and also an invitation..
Now I think I understood that scene better..minus the mirror scene in which three mirrors were shown.
Do u have any idea about it nimmo...
1.Something like how they r actually ..their actual relationship in one mirror which is hidden to Sarkars...
2.how the other people mainly the sarkars perceive about their relationship..maybe to imply that they didn't show shlok holding astha..
3. Acc to new spoilers poo is jealous of astha...third one may point towards that as poo thinks shlok likes astha without knowing about their actual relationship.

Thanku for coming up with this as last week was not that eventful compared to previous two week.. ..so I thought u will skip the weekly sum ups this week...

That's why BIwi gave a sweet Shy smile after accepting the feather indirectly accepting his '' ''mating proposal''. yes...in the precap she goes all shy and blushed bright red, redder than her red nighgown. The intent and invitation was given by PD to her and she acquiesced.
