In the V day episode, Shlok gifted Aastha with a peacock feather in which the eye was visible very clearly. It was a unique gift, as Unique as them and a Hatke gift. So was wondering why he gave her that and decided to do some research. This is what I came up with.
Lord Krishna's peacock feathers on his crown are called Mayur pankh in Hindi and Sikhipincham in Sanskrit.
LEGEND SAYS
In Govardhan hills, once when Krishna was playing his flute, the sweet melody that poured out made the peacocks dance in joy and excitement. At the end of a long dance they spread their feathers and the king Peacock offered with great humility its feathers as an offering. The lord accepted it and adorned himself with it.
KRISHNA'S MAYUR PANKH
- It is very rare in nature. The eyes in the feathers are seen on both the sides, which commonly do not occur. The feather has extraordinary powers, which gives hypnotizing powers to the wearer.
- Aastha/Sapna would have the power to melt the ice around Indrajeet's heart and attract him to her, unaware...of his attraction towards her. Her goal would be the discovery of the POA.
- When one worships Krishna with the feathers on his crown, one is blessed with auspiciousness, wealth, health and transcendent knowledge.
Ashlok may glean knowledge from the mystery lady in Nirjali's room.
- They represent divine love that enters the human heart and fills one's entire being in ecstasy. It also reminds us of the romantic love shared between Krishna and Radha. The feathers are always in the direction of Radharani. It is said Lord Krishna cleanses the holy feet of Radha with Peacock feathers, during their playtimes in Vrindavan.
- Shlok by gifting the feather to her on V day was expressing his love for Aastha. They are ecstatic just being together. He has expressed his wish to feather his kisses on her when they are alone, as foreplay.
- It is a symbol of beauty and knowledge. The eye in the feather represents the divine wisdom or the third eye of Krishna. It helps one attain the supreme knowledge of the self. It symbolically states that wisdom of the mind and love of the heart makes one existence whole and for this blessed state, it is very important to worship the Lord adorned with his feathers.
- Aastha is indeed very beautiful, a perfect foil to her handsome husband. By giving the feather to Aastha, both of them may be gifted with insight into the minds of the Sarkars, finding the truth and how they deal with the info.
- The feather protects one from evil eye and destroys all negativity like anger, greed, jealousy and removes poisons.
- It should protect Aastha from the jealousy of Poo and MIMA, who are jealous of Sapna and Balu, greedy and poisonous, wanting to remove them like thorns, in their path to riches and control over the house hold and the kids.
- The feathers stand for beauty, richness in life, felicity and joy. The dark colors in it stand for sorrow, sadness and the bright colors for happiness, symbolizing that life comes with both happiness and sorrow and when one worships Krishna with peacock feather; one attains equanimity of mind, accepts life and learns to surrender to the lord.
- Ashlok are going through a rough patch for now and sad as the Sarkars are controlling everything that once belonged to them. They have accepted that Indrajeet has outsmarted them and are now determined to fight him and get back what is rightfully theirs. At every step of the way, Aastha is praying to Bappa for deliverance and guidance.
- The brightness of the feather is due to the presence of barbules that help reflect light and Krishna's pankh have barbules on both sides making it highly divine in nature. The barbules help the colors to shimmer and different hues appear at different angles.
- They may be able to see the same situation with different POV, which will guide them onto the right path. They heard the Tape the other day and Sapna was teary eyed and was curious as to the reason for Indrajeet to turn into a cold and calculating businessman who tricked Varad dada. Shlok has no sympathy lost for Indru and reminds Aastha to stay focused on the task at hand. He was teasing her by asking if she was geeting maudlin and sentimental over a tape.
- The feathers have thousand eyes, which symbolize as a vault of heaven and eyes of stars and it's iridescent coloring is a gift from Lord Indra as an act of compassion to the bird.
- Aastha is compassionate and Shlok may also see Kavita and find an invisible thread connecting them, making him more humane and humble.
- They also have the power to do away bad influences of the planets. Grace of both Radha and Krishna descends on worshipping this form of Krishna.
- Both will overcome the GRIHAN that is cast over the Agnihotris and restore Bappa to his rightful place in the house.
- It also help someone to defend against the venom of serpents . Kalia snake was subdued by krishna and Yamuna was cleaned from his venom. Snakes are a vicious and fear object. Peacock is known as incarnation of Garud , the animal on which GOD Vishnu travels. Considering its auspiciousness and bright colours it is declared as National bird in free India.
- They may expose the inner hidden agenda of Thakuma against NA, the scheming MIMA for the wealth of IS. Shlok will clean the poison spewed by Poo against himself and Aastha by teaching her a lesson, effectively defanging her, leaving her toothless and bloodied.
