Shlok hurriedly rushed to her door and pressed the door bell constantly...
Astha opened the door...she was looking quite normal without even a single glimpse of anger on her face...
Astha:You are here...am i dreaming????...she folded her arms while asking him ...
And her question made him more guilty...
Shlok:Look astha...I didn't mean to hurt you...but i just want to be ...he hesitated to say further...
Astha completed his sentence...to be my freind without knowledege of your buddies...is that what you want ????..she said with a smile...
Shlok smiled back...you understand me sooo well astha...
Astha:wish you could understand me tooo...suddenly her smile vanished...
And this is when he realized that she is really angry though not showing it...
Shlok:Asthaaa...but before he could say one more word she closed the door on his face...
He punched the wall in frustration...the same second astha opened the door again for a second and said...
Astha:I thought you are not that bad...but you proved me wrong...and one more thing...I don't want to see you at my place after this moment...and with that she closed the door...
Though she said all those words in a normal tone...but he still felt the pain and anger hidden in them...
The whole night he was changing sides thinking about her...the guilt that he hurt her sooo much was not letting him sleep...

Only four days were left in their college function...he tried his best to seek her forgiveness but every time she ignored him making some excuse...even she refused to do final rehearsals with him...
Her ignorance was affecting him deeply...he realized that astha has become his habit in past few days and now he wants her company back...
He started visiting places he used to go with astha like one day he went to ashram alone and found her there...but as usual she didn't let him talk and behave with him as a stranger...
She didn't help him anymore for the play and the mere things he learnt was only from the practice he and astha used to do together...somehow he memorized the remaining script...but the emotions were not there...

Finally the day came when the function was organized...
After few performances it was their play...
Shlok went to stage first as his lines were in the starting and in the end of the play...
He was trying his best to deliver his lines with emotions but still something was missing...
The audience was feeling the play to be bit boring...
Shlok himself was confused that why its not happening in a right way ...
This continued till astha made her entry on the stage...
And the moment shlok saw her his jaw dropped in surprise and shock...
She was dressed in a sleeveless pink silk gown just perfectly made for her...her hair were hanging loosely almost reaching her waist with trace of glitter in them...
Her slight make up was bringing out the softness of her features...and moreover the light jewelry was adding more to her elegance and beauty...
It was for the first time shlok felt as he has seen some princess or angel as she didn't look like the girl he knew as astha...he was constantly staring her standing in complete silence while she was delivering her dialogues with a smile on her face...and after her lines they slowly started dancing as planned for the play...
His own words started echoing in his mind...''what she thought of herself ...a princess or some angel????...she would be the last girl on this planet i would fall in love with????...but he thought that how wrong i was ...as she was really looking some angel right in his arms...and it was in these few magical moments when the realization dawned on him that he has fallen in love with her...
He was completely lost in her eyes...but she was just playing her role...
The curtains closed after the dance ended ...and their chemistry made the play a hit ...
The audience was clapping but shlok was still standing holding her in his arms...unaware that the show has ended...
Astha:Mr. shlok...the play has ended... leave me now...she said jerking him away...
Shlok came out of his trance...and found her moving towards the outside door ... he quickly held her hand...
Shlok:Asthaaa...he said in a very sad and low voice making her to stop...
Astha turned to him as usual with a plain look on her face...
Shlok:Please forgive me once...please...you have given me enough punishment for my mistake...but now i cann't take it anymore...i am missing my friend...
She silently looked into his sad eyes for some minutes like trying to read his pain...and the same moment someone called her name ...
She removed his hand from hers...without saying a single word...and left...

She was sitting alone in the college garden in a corner away from everyone's eyes... making some notes when shlok came and sit on the bench next to her...
Astha looked at him...shlok sitting with me will affect ur reputation in whole college...she said getting back to her work...
Shlok:I don't care...i just want to talk to you seriously today...

Astha:I am busy in making my notes...
Shlok:Ok i can wait for you...
Astha:No need for this as my work is not ending soon...
Shlok:Ok tell me then when can we talk ...
Astha:Never...
This time he snatched away the book from her hands and placed it on other side...i am missing u...i am missing the time we spent together...ur presence in my life had changed everything...why don't you understand this simple thing...and i am also guilty for what i did to you...
Astha saw him in disbelief...
Shlok:Your behavior is killing me...please stop behaving as if i am a stranger to you...
She quickly took her bag and books and tried to run from there...but shlok stopped her...
Shlok:Why you are running from me dammit...why you are making everything sooo complicated for both of us...
Astha:Why cann't you leave me alone...what you want from me...she said loudly...as if trying to hide something...
Shlok:You know very well what i want...
Astha:No i don't...she shouted...
Shlok:stop lying to yourself and others...he tooo shouted at her...
Astha ignored him and tried to walk away when shlok pinned her to the wall forcefully...
Shlok:I want to be your friend again ...
Astha:But i don't want your friendship anymore...
Shlok:You are scared that someone wants ur friendship...but actually more scared that someone wants you...he finally said what he was hiding...
Astha stopped for a second and looked him with furious eyes...and why i should be scared when i dont care for all this????...
Shlok:You ...you are scared because you also wants to be with me...and u know accepting this will hurt ur ego as you took promise from me not to fall in love with you...and this was when for the first time he noticed her eyes were wet...but what brought tears in her beautiful eyes...his harsh behavior or his sudden confession he was confused...
He loosened his grip on her...and she immediately left the place saying that you have no right to love me...making him more surprised at her strange behavior...she was becoming a complicated mystery for him...
Shlok locked himself in his room that whole day and even refused his friends who wanted to visit him in the evening...and he finally reached a decision after whole night thinking...
Next day he was searching for her in whole college but she was no where to be seen...he asked one of his colleague about astha and only then he came to know that she is in the locker room...

Shlok was angry on her for hiding all this from him ...
He shouted...why you do this all to me??????...he said throwing her diary on the bed...
Astha was numb and silent not knowing that how she will explain him everything...
