Earning a relation is a reward of Trust. Maintaining the same is the result of sacrifice and strengthening the same is the result of care.

"To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved." -- George MacDonald

Trust is the base of any relationship for it to survive or strengthen. Over the past few days this is what is being emphasized in the show. Where do we see that trust in the relationships of our characters?!

Shlok-Aastha: I will begin with Shlok & Astha, one of my favorite/interesting characters apart from Anjali- NA. Aastha said she loves Shlok whole-heartedly with his flaws, his past and stick to him, want to lead a happy life with him. But does she really trust him? He after all broke her heart, made her crest-fallen, crushed her spirits. Even though that didn't deter her spirit, she cannot share her problems with him. This whole Aditi saga where Shlok did not believe her ..she is doing all the detective work by herself instead of tackling it with his help just because she does not trust him enough to share her problems.
Shlok on the other side during his courtship/fake love drama prior to marriage announced to her that she won his trust for the whole lifetime rather pompously, fails to do so. He actually did not believe her in Jyothi issue too till she brought the proofs and same is the case with this whole Aditi fiasco. He dismisses all her request to believe her as allegations and again calling it as a black mark on his baba's status! She might be impulsive but she doesn't accuse anyone without any proof ..he knows it from past experience, then why does he still not believe her? He might have all the feelings of love: care, concern, protectiveness, attraction, possessiveness but where is trust in this relationship which is an important pillar for love. Now, Aastha might decide to stay back to prove herself as righteous and trustworthy person but what will she earn back? Is this whole Aditi drama brought in to show the trust issues between Aastha-Shlok? I would like to see this spunky lady to walk-off graciously out of this relationship at one point (even if it is a short period) where there is no trust and respect.

Aastha-Kalindi: Where I ended the last part regarding Aastha leaving Shlok comes the next relationship Aastha & Kalindi. Kalindi always had apprehensions on Aastha's relationship/love with Shlok. They were calmed down for a bit after Shlok had displayed his loyalty in Avdhoot's land case and that he will take care of Aastha. But that trust is again broken when she came to know about the reality and that her daughter has been betrayed. She became over-protective as she has seen the mirror image of her past lingering before her and started the divorce proceedings. She even wants to get Aastha married second time just like her but does she trust her daughter enough to lead an independent life?
Astha also never shared her true feelings about Shlok openly with Kalindi either prior to marraige or after it. She did say a little bit during divorce proceedings but did not mention to her Mom what she really wants. When Kalindi came to Agni mansion to take Astha she said she will be come back in 2 days anyways but did not mention to her Mom that she has accepted Shlok for what he is and loves him now too.

Varad-Sojal: Varad is lofty, superficial who lives life through his brother's love life, he tries to set right his brother's love life than to delve into his relationship with Sojal...well according to him its easy to give advice than to follow it. sojal has her insecurities because she needs that attention, love, respect from Varad and Anjali esp. Varad. She is also to be blamed as she does not trust/respect simple being the money matters. She does try from her part to get his attention and try to care for him in her small ways. Now she is also having doubts if he is having an extra marital relationship due to this lack of attention from him.

Jyothi-Sid: Now, this blooming relationship is in the beginning, but how far can Jyothi share her woes with a stranger. Some times strangers, outsiders become our confidants when the family rejects to help; this is what is shown in the case of Jyothi.

NA-Anjali: I dont see any trust here..he just uses her. Anjali on the other hand is wary of him but still complies to fulfill his wishes.

Anjali-her kids: Anjali has failed big time as a mother.. none of her kids have trust on her now period. She only gives importance to her Sahib and kids doesn't matter.

Anjali-Aastha: Now when her kids don't trust her how can Astha trust her! And Anjali seems to have developed some soft corner for Astha but trust..nada! Its a long-long way to go.

Just my POV..

true shlok has not given astha the trust that she can approach him with anything and he promised her before marriage that she should approach him first with any issues
shlok is self centered in this area, its sad,
jyoti has already no choice but to put her trust in sid bit by bit as she does not have any choice, i mean first she had to trust sid about her well being in his home, which she now has, second now she trusts that sid is a good person, and so on she will definitely open up with her issues, she will next have but no choice to trust sid about her pregnancy her symptoms will grow and she must be around 4 months 20 weeks she will begin showing up, and then the final test would be revealing her identity, sid is giving her space and not demanding and he is also trusting her with his money woes, he is making sure that she knows that he appreciates her presence in his home, and slowly now his home will belong to her, its already started, she has cleaned up, organized, and cooking for him and their dialogues are also sounding like a normal homely couple, he even is considerate enough to take care of her needs clothes, in short he is taking up the role of her provider
and sid is very personable, approachable which obviously shlok is not,
i have no doubt that jyoti will trust sid fully before astha could with her personal issues

Yes Ankitha(did I get the name right! 😊) ... I feel trust is some thing which happens both ways..in Aastha-Shlok's relationship though I think Shlok is the main culprit for her not to trust him. He has given her enough chances to not to trust him. However, regarding the recording at least she should have shown it to the entire family or to Shlok first to avoid unforeseen issues, but that is the impulsive Aastha for us and also thrown for audience to add the much needed drama I guess!!
Regarding Jyothi-Sid ..well now she has no other option other than to believe him, he seems to be a gentle soul as of now.

loved your post...i too wished shlok to have shown atleast a little trust towards aastha. He has been with her all this while, he should have understood what she is all about. Im kind of surprised that he doesnt believe in anything that she speaks...
The other day , he was thinking to himself that aastha was weird , how can he even think that she was acting weird when she had confessed her numerous number of times.

Shlok's character is so confusing most of the times. CVS should work on his character. They should make him more mature and strong

I do agree trust, understanding, respect is very important to maintain any relationship.

But I do not agree that Aastha does not ask for help from Shlok in her detective activities only because of lack of her trust in him. Rather on several occasions she has tried to want to convince him regarding Aditi but Shlok as usual typical man does not like to pay any attention to her all feminine talk (! to Him).
My husband is also like that and I find this is very common among my colleagues as well.
Very often men do not understand all these feminine games which Aditi is playing but I do accept Shlok should have some suspicion regarding Aditi as soon as when Aastha has pointed out the sequences of events which have occurred in their house after Aditi's arrival. He might have , we do not know yet! because Shlok himself is very introvert character! It may reveal gradually!

Aastha loves him, trust him and tries to understand him even in her own way .

TEST of trust reveals when your are in trouble - whenever Aastha is in trouble she calls for help from her dear Hubby! It has been proved on several occasions like office work , 'sleeping in the same room' etc.
This is only My View - I might be wrong!

Thank you AditiYuvi. Yes to that Shlok is not an approachable person...he has shut himself off always to her. When Astha declared her love second time she said 'Vishwas' as one of the colors that she sprayed on him ..so she can approach him is my point . Well, what can the poor gal do when all the doors are closed and nobody believes her..other than to tackle the problem herself.

Sathia..Agree with you. You are right about Shlok and also Astha..Yes she does have trust in him when she is in trouble. For him the first priority is his Dad's maan, samman; his priorities are changing now ..he is also thinking about Astha's security, her image etc now. He does not like a problem to come out in open. Regarding Aastha she might have handled this particular problem a bit differently by showing the proofs to Anjali, Shlok first rather than to pest(oops guest Aditi) but that is the impulsive Astha for us.
