Your argument assumes that it is right to punish someone more when they try to talk to you...when they try to plead their case, or when they argue with you. That in my eyes is wrong. A teacher has the right to punish a student but they do not have the right to misuse that power. A teacher can punish if they are justified, but to punish more just because the student tries to make their case is wrong.
I believe Shlok was wrong. He rusticated that girl because she is a girl and he does not particularly like women. If one of the boys had come to talk to him then he might have listened to them. Even if he didnt listen to them, I doubt he would have rusticated them. Plus he punished her because her name is Anjali which is the name of the mother he hates. Well professionalism much...
You can't do that. You can't rusticate someone because you don't like their name or their name reminds you of some bad memories...talk about unprofessionalism. He would have been fired if he was working somewhere else. But unfortunately, he cannot be fired since he runs these schools.
It's just disturbing. Someone who runs schools should not be so narrow minded. Shiksha (education) makes us open our eyes to the world. Knowledge should makes us better, not worse. Shlok was wrong, there is simply no way around it. Usually when you are narrow minded and when you are a chauvinist...you are usually in the wrong. I personally don't see how a woman hater can actually be right. Kinda becomes hard to stand up for a woman hater since I am woman. I am preparing myself for Shlok being wrong often because it does not look like he will be in the right anytime soon.
And I simply do not agree with some of the people who are blaming Aashta. What did she do exactly? Try to get her friend back in the school? That isn't a crime. As to why she choose that moment to talk to Shlok...because he would not let her talk any time else. And she did not know there was a camera pointing at them. I really do not think she was in the wrong at all. She tried to do the right thing, but unfortunately she will be slammed by Shlok and many others too...
