Sorry I havent replied to ur poem, tho i have read it. It was beautiful, simply beautiful I am going to paste it on the first page, it perfectly describes both Chandini and Advay's emotional.

Before I say anything else, let me just tell you of all the chapters you have posted so far...chapter 44 was the most poignant and marvellous. Its like a cliff's edge...and yet the two people standing on the precipice of strange relationship are trembling with their own emotions which threaten to teeter at the edge of speech but still remain dumb...

because its not time yet.

Thanks lot my love, I am glad u liked it, this chapter was much needed. It subtly reveals a lot into the psyche of the characters, Firstly Chandini has stepped out of the maternal home now, in a way she has stepped out of the Indrani's clutches. Now she is no longer thinking abt what my Maa would say etc, now she is focussed on what lays ahead for her with her strange husband.

The second aspect was the entire family is now rejoicing this union, irrespective of how twisted and wrong it feels. The men mainly have new found strength as thier Dev is back, and so it has forged a bond between Advay and all the positive members of the family, it is like battle lines are now drawn and people have chosen their sides.

And finally for Adavy and Chadnini a dialogue has opened up. They are willing to communicate and discuss what they expect from each other, well mainly what he expects from her, because that is probably what goes on in the mind of every bride in an arranged marriage IMO.

Chandni despite her preoccupation with her husband and her relative meekness and acquiescence to his will is not and i repeat not in love with him.she had started..but events have put it on hold. She says she is in love and he is treating her like property...multiple times. But her dreams of a happy married life are what she is in love with and what seems like a mirage to her now. Not the man. She has feelings for him..BUTTERFLIES aa she so innocently says. Maybe she was in love with the idea of love. She instinctively knows the pain of the man..and no matter how distraught she is at his treatment of herself...she sympathisizes with him on some level. Chandni is relatively a much more detached person, she is merely curious about this man who takes her breath away at times...and is well...doing her duty as his wife. Also i think advay has become some sort of a challenge for chandni. She had a choice. She chose to stay.

I agree partially with you on this. Yes as far as love goes, i strongly believe that love takes time to brew and deepen. Yet 90% of arranged marriages happen on first impression basis alone. It is not based on love, yet the couples go on to forge strong meaningful relationships, infact if anything divorce rates in India are comparatively lower than the rest of teh world, yes there are many other reasons behind that but the ultimate reason is that people believe that no matter what you must make ur marriage work. 95% of the times it is the wife's duty to make it work or just deal with it. It annoys me TBH, yet most arranged marraiges are successfully, especially if i was to look at all the marriages i have known of inc my parents.

So chandini is one such girl who is brought up with the constant reminder taht she belongs to her husband. Until now she was single girl, but now she is his wife. So suddenly there is a change a shift in her thought. Now she is willing to mend her ways and blend into his ways. But that is something taht every girl does after marriage. Her love stems from her upbringing and from the devotion she has towards her husband and towards the institution of marriage. She wants to make this work, love or not and she would have strived to do so had she been married off to PP. With Advay like u rightly said she has this intense attraction and also a sense of curiosity given how mysterious he is.

Chandini is a very simple girl, she wants a marriage , a home a husband with a 9-5 maybe who treats her with respect and love, a family. Just a simple average girl with no over the top expectations. She doesn't want a man to shower diamonds on her, she just wants a man who can quietly sit beside her as they watch the sunset behind the river. But her life is locked with a man who is exactly opposite to everything she has been brought up to believe and expect from life.

So yes there is no love, but yet there is a sense of commitment that Chandini has towards her husband now that will eventually blossom into love.

Advay on the other hand is in love already. Revenge plans...his sexual fantasies and his way of breaking her into his ways aside...he is genuinely in love. I understood that when his possessiveness left him. He still cannot share chandni...but the mere thought of her having to deal with life alone and broken is painful to him. He kept reassuring himself that she has a backup plan..a job..and even a glimmer of a future with some guy who will treat her well.

Its love when you will protect your loved ones even from yourself. A person to whom revenge waa paramount till a few days earlier...nothing has changed on that account. Chandni to him is still a liar..an actress...and a traitor. But his angst is gone. The surest way of breaking a person is breaking their heart. Advay knows he has broken her heart once. Even though to a proper vengeful person this should be a wonderful chance.to break her heart AGAIN...yet advay warns her not to fall in love as he is scared of her ability to love with abandon. He is afraid of hurting her beyond repair.

Yes absolutely, Advay is in love. Yes he is possessive but he loves her nevertheless, and will never force his wishes upon her. But that is also maybe becasue consent is paramount in his world. What Advay's intentions are still waits to be seen, he is dark in his ways. But he loves her and there is no question there. Chadnini's love is all about surrender and Advay's is all about protection. and it is that beautiful blend that forms the crux of the this rather unconventional love story.

Chandni on some level is much more possessive about advay. He is her monster now.

Advay has learnt to let go. Chandni has not. She clings on with obstinacy...determined to make things work...it waa so with indrani...and its still so with advay.

so despite her sighs of he is my mirage...i love him etc etc. Advay is still a novelty..albeit a dangerous one...who she cares enough for to be unable to watxh him being hit by goons. But he does not have her heart yet. He has not given her much reason to fall totally in love yet.so i get her.😊

Chandnis character intrigued me with her ability to accept. Terrifyingly disarming.peoplenwho are so accepting of what others do to them...often at a deeper level are blas about themselves. Tgeir needs are secondary. They dont really care what happens to them. As you so rightly describe..moth fo flame. But the flame unfortunately can see what its doing to the moth.

Like i said, the only thing I can say abt Chadnini is that she is a typical girl from conservative part of the country who is made to believe that his husband is her god and that she must complelety surrender her life to him. The same goes with Indrani, for Chandini she is her mother and hence she must obey her parents, she would do teh same with Yash too, but Yash has been sick and hasnt been of much influence in her life, so she has been totally devoted to her mother. A child loves its parents unconditionally there is no question of judgement in that love, and teh same is expected of a wife towards her husband and her in laws. hence why we have stories of chaste wives like Sandili, who worshipped thier husbands like gods. the power of pativrata etc, that is how women are brought up in conservative societies in India or otherwise. So Chandini comes in the league of one of those women given that she is the oldest daughter of a Mahant and given how strict her household has been and also given that Advay is the man she gave herself to, so all those factors play an important role in her completely surrendering to him with no question asked.

Speaking of Possessiveness Chandini is also possessive, hence the reason behind why she agrees to marry him was not her curiosity or a need for challenge IMO, it was a need to hold him and comfort him and a need to take away his grief. The reason plays out in her head, and she doesnt think abt her mother or thier first kiss or even the perfect night she keeps referring to. No the reason was how empty she felt without him in her arms. So i guess there is a deep conn between the two, superficially they are yet to fall in love, but at a soul level there is a connection that they are able to feel, he knows why she doesnt yet know why. Yet she wants that connection, which is beyond any sexual context and it is fro that reason she agrees to marry him.

Btw...i dunno if i should ask but i have a reader request. Since you got the bdsm angle in...if you are planning on writing rope ties at all...would you get in a bondage scene..where the ties actually help her get rid of her slouch?

With regards to what he does bondage wise, u will see, but he is here to transform her taht much is for sure, But how will that happen, will that even happen and at what price and after how much tears that waits to be seen. WRT BDSM i am going to speak a quite a few concepts, physical and psychological. So u will have to wait and see how it plays out.

Chandnis foray into bdsm world is probably for the best. She needs to understand that she hates people dictating her life. Indrani had conditioned her into one of those mules who even after the leash is untied does not move coz they think they are still tied to the tree.indrani's domination was sly..and it crewped up bit by bit..bricking chandni inside a well of self doubt...until she forgot she has a mind of her own.

Advay is a dominant up front. Its not sly.it can finally help her understand exactly what and how much she wants in life.

The cuckoo never knows its day until night comes.but the night has no pretence. But a cuckoo gets tricked by the full moon...thinking the day is here. If you know what i mean..thats the differwnce between the two deepest influences in chandnis life. Advay and indrani.

WOW the cuckoo bit is beautifully said, I totally agree, like i said in an earlier post on abuse..Dominance can become abuse if it is done to squash a person's spirit and individuality. However the same dominance when directed in a positive way it can help transform us. Dominance is about altering behaviour, u might say OMG that is illegal, yet when parents and teachers for example dominate and lay rules so we can develop and grow into stronger individuals. So it is altering behaviour but it is done for the good of the child. Hence that is teh diff, Dominance becomes abuse when it crushes a person, yet the same dominance can lead to a positive transformation and help us instill positive qualities within ourselves.

Chapter 44 was the talk i was waiting for. The start of the story.😆

Oh thanks I am glad u liked it, but this convo cud only happen after marriage, as anything before that would have not gone down well with Chandini IMO, also now she has a reference with the video, she has seen him in action, she kinda knows what to expect, tho she doesnt know why or what he did but she knows he has a violent streak to him and is curious about it, and is making her enquiries in her own innocent ways without raising any suspicions.
