IPKKND3 (Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3)

I wrote this story at the time when Advay in the Show had just finished insulting his Chandni - calling her Characterless, Unwed Mother of a child etc. at the Allahabad reception. He returned to Mumbai alone and his Grandmother brought Chandni along with her.
Grandma arranged for a Mooh Dikhaye rasam, but Advay turned all the guests away, stating that the Rasam has been cancelled. Adi (Advay Sister's kid son) calls all his friends from the neighbourhood and completes Chandni's Mooh Dikhaye rasam in his own way. Chandi faints due to exhaustion...

Chandni still does not know that Advay is her Dev. She still carries her Dev Motivator - the Stone.

Chapter 1

Rumours already had it that she was kidnapped last year. She was held by her abductor for 3 days and returned without any ransom exchange. Very strange indeed. Ever since he saw the child in Chandni's hands at the back of her Haveli, he had been blind with rage. She had been in love with someone, had a child, abandoned it in an orphanage and made a drama of kidnap. How can someone be so heartless ? And now, she is cheeky enough to come to Mumbai, leaving the Baby again at Allahabad? So much to protect her family's name and honour ?

Dev inside him kept screaming all along to confront Chandni about the child, but he chose to ignore it. Nani told him that she strongly believes Chandni is not the Mother of that baby. The old woman does not need eyes to see and understand things about people around her. Who knows better than Advay about this ? But still, it fell on deaf ears.

Chandni ek dokha hai...farebi hai... Chandni's words at the Temple, became the verdict against his parents lives. Everything she had said, was a lie. Everything that she will say now, will be a lie. He is no way going to trust her.

He never wanted her to come to Mumbai. He had dropped her and her family homeless and penniless at Allahabad. He had vowed to wipe every single trace of her from his life. But Nani not only brought her Bahu here, but also forced him to accept that he will never push her out of the house. Now, he will have to make her leave this place, on her own.

There's no way that he is going to share the same bedroom with a woman who is characterless and became an unwed mother.

When Nani invited family friends for the Mooh Dikhayi Rasam, he had smartly made Murli wait at the entrance to inform everyone that the program has been cancelled. He also had asked Murli to call Doctors through the backdoor to do certain test on Chandni.

Money can do wonders. When you have the money and determination to achieve what you want, anything is possible. Especially for a business tycoon like him.

Chandni had not had anything since morning. When Chandni fainted suddenly due to exhaustion during the Mooh Dikhayi Rasam, Nani ordered him to take her to his room. He immediately carried her in his arms to his bedroom, without any objection. He laid her down on his bed and called the doctors.

The doctor came out of his room after sometime, and handed over the Virginity Report to him and left. Chandni is a Virgin...?????

"Sach ke kayi rang hote hain, Cheeku. Ho sakta hain ki Chandni ki sach kuch alag ho?" Nani's words rang in his ears. She had repeatedly advocated to Advay that Chandni could be innocent after all. And you can't take revenge on a woman for something she committed when she was 8 years old. That she may not have been involved in the murder at all or she may have been used as a pawn. That he should confront Chandni about that fateful day his parents died. That he should tell her that He is HER DEV.

But, he NEVER listened. Chandni was the root cause of all his problems and Advay chose to eliminate her from his life. Dev inside him had been pleading to him ... insisting all along that his Chandni is pure as a moon. And Advay had always tried to silence Dev that the moon had been stained. But he just had to confirm it, to make peace with both the guys residing in him.

Now that the confirmation report was in his hands, he was shaking. He kicked the nearest pillar. He didn't know whether to be happy that his Chandni is innocent, or shocked at the sudden realisation of the cruelty that he had subjected to her. Especially when she was unconscious.

His Chandni should have been a victim of his Love. Instead, she's been a victim of his mistrust; his verbal abuses; his pawn for insulting the Vashist family. What the hell have I done ? How could I not believe my childhood friend? How could I do this to my wife? Oh... how do I face her now ?

Obviously, no woman would have expected to undergo this treatment from a husband. Definitely not before a first night. He had already defamed her and her family. But tonight, he's given the deepest scar that a husband can give to a wife. Was he the same man who protected Chandni when PP and his Mom were insulting her outright in front of the entire family? Was he the same man who saved Chandni from PP in the Pub? Was he the same man who brought her home safely, when she had PTSD?

He has always been very possessive about her. My Chandni. You are Mine. Tum Meri Ho. He couldn't tolerate another man near her. And now, he had willingly allowed a doctor to touch and check her. He was ashamed of his own actions.

He walked inside the bedroom slowly. Chandni was sitting at the edge of the bed crying. He knew he had wronged her. He didn't know what to tell her, how to tell her.

She didn't want to even look at him. Tears were rolling out of her eyes uncontrollably. She was visibly in pain. A kind of pain that she had never experienced before. As such, she hadn't had food since morning and the Doctor's check-up had left her with a sharp migraine.. It was the first time she had been touched there, in a most unorthodox manner, without her permission, in her own bedroom, and not by her husband.

She tried to get up from the bed and stumbled. He instinctively rushed to her side to support her shoulder.

Chandni ... I... I am really sorry, Chandni.

SLAPPP...

Suddenly, he was rubbing his burning left cheek. It took a second to understand that Chandni had just slapped him hard.

"Tum ek Raakshas ho, Mr. Advay Singh Raizada".

Tum se toh woh Kidnapper behtar tha. He kept me for 3 days, repeating "I wont touch you, but will ensure that the incident leaves a permanent stain on your name". He threatened me, he punished me for escaping, he kept taunting me to death. But He.. NEVER attempted to touch me.

Tum se toh woh PP behtar hai. He may have wanted to sleep with me. But, he did agree to go through the marriage ritual for the sake of my Mom. He did agree to pay back all the loans of my family. He had given money to Mom even before marriage. He didn't defame my family's name and honour like YOU...

Aur.. TUM...?

You married me by force.

You called me an "Ek Raat Ki Dulhan".

And then you had the audacity to send a Doctor in your bedroom, to touch something that you should have touched. You acted like a blood* pim*, Mr. Raizada.

Congratulations Mr. Raizada, you win. You've managed to rape me even without touching me..."

She pushed him aside forcibly and got up from the bed. Tears were flowing from her eyes on their own accord, while she winced in pain at every step and walked towards the door.

A thousand needles had pricked him at Chandni's choice of words, but he had abused her worse than that. He had made her endure all the pain and humiliations, for no fault of hers. He deserved to hear it.

But Advay's eyes went wide in shock at the drops of blood on the floor as she moved. He turned to see the bed and froze. The place where she sat, had blood stains too. He ran his fingers on his hair in anger and frustration. Apparently, the Check-up had not been a smooth one. And his Chandni has been hurt in the process both physically and psychologically. AND HE... HAD HIMSELF ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN. Dev was accusing him from within. What have you done to my Chandni ? How could you do this to my childhood friend, my wife?

Chandni called out for Shilpa aloud and asked her to get her bag ready. She picked up a Salwar and limped towards the Washroom to clean herself. Shilpa looked at Advay for approval and saw him rooted to the spot, with an expression that she could not comprehend.

She silently started packing, and dropped a photo by mistake. "Careful with my Dev" came the instant warning from Chandni from where she was standing. "I don't want to hurt even my Dev's photo frame".

My Dev? Advay's knees sank and he broke down in tears. She doesn't want to hurt even my photo. How did I believe that she could hurt my feelings ? How could she be the reason for my parents murder? How could she have brought the end of my family? Why did I stop believing in MY Chandni? Why couldn't I believe in her as much as she believed in me? Why? How could I hurt her this bad?

Chapter 2 below...

Chapter 2

She has been called names. Names often associated with a social stigma. Badnaam aurat who ran off with her lover, Characterless, Shameless, Gold Digger, Unwed Mother, Heartless woman to abandon a child in an Orphanage, Irresponsible human being, a Coward to leave a child for name and honour, She is a Liar...

The people in Allahabad spread many names and rumours about her but she always had faced it. Her conscience was clear. She had no one to fear when her Mother stood like a pillar next to her.

She knew Advay was here to destroy her. But she did not expect Advay, her husband, who married her against all odds, to hurl such abusive words at her in public. He insulted her at every available opportunity.

And that was not all. He brought the baby to their Reception function and Publicly disowned her as his wife, for being an Unwed Mother and a characterless woman. He had addressed her as "Ek Raat ki Dulhan".

Because of Advay, her Mother has disowned her now. She had lost her mother and her family's honour overnight. She had lost the status of a Married Woman overnight. She lost Her name. Her Honour. Her Family's name. Their Honour. And Today, she lost her dear secret too. Something that every woman cherishes and waits to share with the Man she loves.

There's nothing more to hide. There's nothing more to lose. This is it.

Mr. ASR, you are just Anger, Sorrow and Revenge personified. And according to me, all your 3 traits are flawed.

I kept asking you the reason for your anger against me, but you never disclosed it. I have seen pain and tears in your eyes whenever you handled me tenderly. But you never bothered to explain your actions or grief. You were all set to destroy my name and my family's honour, but you never have the guts to admit the reason for revenge. Till date, you haven't told me why we are being punished by you.

You are a coward, ASR. You hide behind your little secret and wage war against me and my family. You don't have the traits of a King to confront your enemy face to face and thrust a sword in my chest. Instead, you stab a knife from behind, like a traitor.

You want me to leave this place on my own? Leave I will, but not before tarnishing your image too. If I have lost EVERYTHING, I will ensure that you also lose SOMETHING.

She has been running away from the situation for so long. Its time to turn around and face the enemy.

He has been instilling the Fear in her. He has seen her taking Flight from the situation. BUT, He has not seen her taking the bull by the horn and Fighting it.

He saw her coming out of the Bathroom dressed in Salwar and picking the bag.

Advay : Where are you going, Chandni ?

Chandni : Leaving you.

He knew he had hurt her. And he has to make amendments. But he doesn't know where to start. ASR has never learnt to apologise. And what he had done was beyond a mere blunder.

Advay's egoistic mind was prompting him to manipulate the situation and stop her as usual. Dev, his heart, was pleading inside with tears to win back his Love at all costs. "No. You can't do that, Chandni". He said in a choking tone.

"Excuse Me ...?" She imitated Advay's arching eyebrow with a "you dare question me?" kinda look. The last time she did this, was to amuse him. This time, it was different.

"You are mine, Chandni. My Wife. We have just declared to the Media that we are husband and wife". He attempted to reason with her in vain.

She remembered all the insults he had hurled at her and her family at the Reception. She carefully picked each taunting darts that he had pricked her with, and aimed slowly at him, one by one.

"Awww... My husband is too shy.." She imitated his sarcastic laugh at him. "Worried that they will write that I ran off with someone as usual? Don't worry... Aur bhi kahi options hai..." She spoke in the same, slow and steady, calculative voice of Advay, with the exact way he had stressed each of those dialogs to her earlier. "Tell the Press that you were My BrideGroom for a Night. That you desperately fought with PP and married me, against my wishes. That you were kind enough to marry a characterless woman who became an unwed mother and shameless enough to leave her child in an orphanage. That should give enough fodder for the Media to ruin your reputation, for the rest of your life".

He knew he won't be able to stop her, but "probably" the mention of Nani can. "I care a damn what the Society and the Media thinks about me, Chandni. You know that. But, Nani can't take this. What do I tell Nani?" He tried to hold back his tears, but they flowed relentlessly.

"Tell her that you set out to spoil My name and My reputation and it got bounced on you. Jo Sach Hai... Wo Sach Hai... " She leaned forward and imitated his left side smirk at him with a husky voice.

Sure, she had come to Mumbai only at Nani's insistence. Nani had assured her that she will try to even out things between Advay and her. But Nani had no idea that Advay will stoop to this level. And after what happened tonight, Chandni's mind was beyond reasoning now.

He had closed all doors for her in her life. He had separated her from her family. He had humiliated her family in front of the public and forced them to move out of their house overnight. He already knew that her family was bankrupt and her mother tried to sell her for 2 Crores to PP. He looked at her with concern. "Where will you go now? What will you do?" He managed to mutter.

She shot him an angry glare, but continued to imitate his cool tone and replied :

I am going to do all that you claimed that I did, Advay.

I am going to adopt the child, whom you claimed as mine.

I am going to tell my Mom to call PP for a night, for Rs.2 Crores.

I am going to stand up to the names you called me repeatedly Characterless. Shameless. Unwed Mother. Gold Digger who will do anything for Money.

"No, No.." he blurted out in a defeated tone, "No.. you won't. You are not that type of a girl..."

"Really?" she mocked him with his taunting trademark smirk with raised eyebrows.

He generally throws that dialogue with that kind of expression, that leaves his opponent weak and guessing his next move. Today, he was left with a cliffhanger question of his own life.

Is she just blurting things out in anger? Or, has he tortured the poor innocent lamb that much, that she has been driven to make such a wild drastic move in her life? She was afraid of the dark; she was afraid of enclosed spaces and of water. She is innocent and a virgin. Her family and PP are a pack of wolves waiting to devour her. He thought he had done a favour to her by saving her from them. Now his own actions has forced her to go back to the wolves? Oh God... how do I stop her? How do I save her?

He wanted her to leave the house on her own accord. She is now leaving on her own. Just the way he wanted. But he did not want it to happen this way.

Only he had the right to hurt her. And he had hurt her badly. But he did not feel happy to see her fall.

HER Defeat seems to be HIS Defeat. "Her Honour is Your Honour. Her Pride is Your Family's Pride. You will also burn when you burn your enemy. Those who win in hatred often end up losing themselves". - Didn't Nani warn him of this day?

He din't trust me enough all these days that I was a virgin. Now, a single Virginity Test determined his trust of whether I am "that" type of a girl or not? Ha !! He will have to work harder than that, to earn my Trust.

You think you have alienated me from everyone? You can never separate me from "My Dev". As long as he stands by my side, I will find my strength somehow. Now, Keep guessing my next move Mr. Arrogant Singh Raizada.

She limped out of his bedroom and out of his life, into the darkness of the night, leaving back Advay to handle his crippled heart.

(The End)

(Dedicated to all the Victims of virginity tests, verbal abuses related to Virginity, women who silently succumbed to the society's hue and cry of moral standards for the sake of their family, and a big salute to all the women who fought against the odds in their life bravely).

Yes. In India there are still many villages where a woman has to go through virginity test before marriage. I have no words for those vile and disgusting people who judge a woman's character by the result of the virginity test. Even here I have no words for Advay. Though I'm pretty sure they are not gonna show something like this in the show.
Finally Chandni snapped. I welcome her decision of leaving the house. She should not forget what kind of humiliations were thrown to her.

You did a good job here. We should salute those women who stand up for themselves.👏

😆
This FF came out of frustration, listening to "Characterless" word repeatedly this week.
Ofcourse, they won't show Advay in a bad light.

Virginity Test ? There are surgeries to restore the virginity also, where they do the operation to show that the girl is STILL a virgin (i dont know the medical term for it). 😲

I have a serious doubt. Do these kinds of s**ts only happen in India or there are other countries as well?😕

When I was reading the first chapter.. the only thing in my mind is denial..
This can't be happening..
It doesn't suit advay character..
But as I continued reading.. I loved chandini's come back..
Oh god.. only if chandini can get so strong.
But the conclusion is outstanding.
This is such a sensitive topic and you handled it with maturity.

👏. Good work. It may not happen in show. But still you made your point. Seriously it's high time he stops calling chandini characterless. Virginity doesn't define a women's character.

OMG I shuddered and shivered reading it
It was too painful and mind numbing
No woman should have to go through this ever
This wrecks their emotional psychological and physical balance
