Rumours already had it that she was kidnapped last year. She was held by her abductor for 3 days and returned without any ransom exchange. Very strange indeed. Ever since he saw the child in Chandni's hands at the back of her Haveli, he had been blind with rage. She had been in love with someone, had a child, abandoned it in an orphanage and made a drama of kidnap. How can someone be so heartless ? And now, she is cheeky enough to come to Mumbai, leaving the Baby again at Allahabad? So much to protect her family's name and honour ?
Dev inside him kept screaming all along to confront Chandni about the child, but he chose to ignore it. Nani told him that she strongly believes Chandni is not the Mother of that baby. The old woman does not need eyes to see and understand things about people around her. Who knows better than Advay about this ? But still, it fell on deaf ears.
Chandni ek dokha hai...farebi hai... Chandni's words at the Temple, became the verdict against his parents lives. Everything she had said, was a lie. Everything that she will say now, will be a lie. He is no way going to trust her.
He never wanted her to come to Mumbai. He had dropped her and her family homeless and penniless at Allahabad. He had vowed to wipe every single trace of her from his life. But Nani not only brought her Bahu here, but also forced him to accept that he will never push her out of the house. Now, he will have to make her leave this place, on her own.
There's no way that he is going to share the same bedroom with a woman who is characterless and became an unwed mother.
When Nani invited family friends for the Mooh Dikhayi Rasam, he had smartly made Murli wait at the entrance to inform everyone that the program has been cancelled. He also had asked Murli to call Doctors through the backdoor to do certain test on Chandni.
Money can do wonders. When you have the money and determination to achieve what you want, anything is possible. Especially for a business tycoon like him.
Chandni had not had anything since morning. When Chandni fainted suddenly due to exhaustion during the Mooh Dikhayi Rasam, Nani ordered him to take her to his room. He immediately carried her in his arms to his bedroom, without any objection. He laid her down on his bed and called the doctors.
The doctor came out of his room after sometime, and handed over the Virginity Report to him and left. Chandni is a Virgin...?????
"Sach ke kayi rang hote hain, Cheeku. Ho sakta hain ki Chandni ki sach kuch alag ho?" Nani's words rang in his ears. She had repeatedly advocated to Advay that Chandni could be innocent after all. And you can't take revenge on a woman for something she committed when she was 8 years old. That she may not have been involved in the murder at all or she may have been used as a pawn. That he should confront Chandni about that fateful day his parents died. That he should tell her that He is HER DEV.
But, he NEVER listened. Chandni was the root cause of all his problems and Advay chose to eliminate her from his life. Dev inside him had been pleading to him ... insisting all along that his Chandni is pure as a moon. And Advay had always tried to silence Dev that the moon had been stained. But he just had to confirm it, to make peace with both the guys residing in him.
Now that the confirmation report was in his hands, he was shaking. He kicked the nearest pillar. He didn't know whether to be happy that his Chandni is innocent, or shocked at the sudden realisation of the cruelty that he had subjected to her. Especially when she was unconscious.
His Chandni should have been a victim of his Love. Instead, she's been a victim of his mistrust; his verbal abuses; his pawn for insulting the Vashist family. What the hell have I done ? How could I not believe my childhood friend? How could I do this to my wife? Oh... how do I face her now ?
Obviously, no woman would have expected to undergo this treatment from a husband. Definitely not before a first night. He had already defamed her and her family. But tonight, he's given the deepest scar that a husband can give to a wife. Was he the same man who protected Chandni when PP and his Mom were insulting her outright in front of the entire family? Was he the same man who saved Chandni from PP in the Pub? Was he the same man who brought her home safely, when she had PTSD?
He has always been very possessive about her. My Chandni. You are Mine. Tum Meri Ho. He couldn't tolerate another man near her. And now, he had willingly allowed a doctor to touch and check her. He was ashamed of his own actions.
He walked inside the bedroom slowly. Chandni was sitting at the edge of the bed crying. He knew he had wronged her. He didn't know what to tell her, how to tell her.
She didn't want to even look at him. Tears were rolling out of her eyes uncontrollably. She was visibly in pain. A kind of pain that she had never experienced before. As such, she hadn't had food since morning and the Doctor's check-up had left her with a sharp migraine.. It was the first time she had been touched there, in a most unorthodox manner, without her permission, in her own bedroom, and not by her husband.
She tried to get up from the bed and stumbled. He instinctively rushed to her side to support her shoulder.
Chandni ... I... I am really sorry, Chandni.
SLAPPP...
Suddenly, he was rubbing his burning left cheek. It took a second to understand that Chandni had just slapped him hard.
"Tum ek Raakshas ho, Mr. Advay Singh Raizada".
Tum se toh woh Kidnapper behtar tha. He kept me for 3 days, repeating "I wont touch you, but will ensure that the incident leaves a permanent stain on your name". He threatened me, he punished me for escaping, he kept taunting me to death. But He.. NEVER attempted to touch me.
Tum se toh woh PP behtar hai. He may have wanted to sleep with me. But, he did agree to go through the marriage ritual for the sake of my Mom. He did agree to pay back all the loans of my family. He had given money to Mom even before marriage. He didn't defame my family's name and honour like YOU...
Aur.. TUM...?
You married me by force.
You called me an "Ek Raat Ki Dulhan".
And then you had the audacity to send a Doctor in your bedroom, to touch something that you should have touched. You acted like a blood* pim*, Mr. Raizada.
Congratulations Mr. Raizada, you win. You've managed to rape me even without touching me..."
She pushed him aside forcibly and got up from the bed. Tears were flowing from her eyes on their own accord, while she winced in pain at every step and walked towards the door.
A thousand needles had pricked him at Chandni's choice of words, but he had abused her worse than that. He had made her endure all the pain and humiliations, for no fault of hers. He deserved to hear it.
But Advay's eyes went wide in shock at the drops of blood on the floor as she moved. He turned to see the bed and froze. The place where she sat, had blood stains too. He ran his fingers on his hair in anger and frustration. Apparently, the Check-up had not been a smooth one. And his Chandni has been hurt in the process both physically and psychologically. AND HE... HAD HIMSELF ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN. Dev was accusing him from within. What have you done to my Chandni ? How could you do this to my childhood friend, my wife?
Chandni called out for Shilpa aloud and asked her to get her bag ready. She picked up a Salwar and limped towards the Washroom to clean herself. Shilpa looked at Advay for approval and saw him rooted to the spot, with an expression that she could not comprehend.
She silently started packing, and dropped a photo by mistake. "Careful with my Dev" came the instant warning from Chandni from where she was standing. "I don't want to hurt even my Dev's photo frame".
My Dev? Advay's knees sank and he broke down in tears. She doesn't want to hurt even my photo. How did I believe that she could hurt my feelings ? How could she be the reason for my parents murder? How could she have brought the end of my family? Why did I stop believing in MY Chandni? Why couldn't I believe in her as much as she believed in me? Why? How could I hurt her this bad?
