First of all I am watching coz of Barun only and I want this show to work any which way but I can't help notice the flaws
Surely the show has improved but I can't help thinking that this is the plan B.
Plan A is already rejected by audience due to wrong execution.
Advay's character has become one dimensional. He hates only. That too Chandani.
He has for the time being forgotten about all others who were involved. He is not trying to do anything about the others until now.

I can relate to Chandani better. She is nervous anxious coz she is in a new environment. She is crying for her mother coz she loves her despite of everything.

There are red signals already regarding the show the Bollywood life article though was rejected by Gul Khan but it has facts which are kinda true.

This is not meant to be an exclusive conversation Girl...you and anyone else who wishes...can join...😊

The family is giving more outlet to show other side of Advay's character...still his behavior with Chandani is too one dimensional...He needs to be a thinking and feeling man...not just a caricature whose only feeling is the one from the past...

I think the writers in this show don't bring as much depth as we expect...which has been the issue since beginning...It's like they can deal with only one emotion at a time...The beauty of IPK brand is supposed to be (my opinion) conflicting emotions between the leads...Just one emotion for a period of time and then the other...is not good enough...That is too common place...

Also, Chandni's vachan during the phere was that she would get to the bottom of his hatred, and give her cent percent to this wedding...Part of the reason she returned is, she still cannot seem to hate the guy. Added to that, Nani's request for her to return for ADVAIY'S SAKE...and her observation of how good he is with his family and the kids...she knows this guy is worth it. As the days go by, her feelings for him would get clearer to her.

I somewhat understood it
Thank you for explaining
So she will genuinely put her best efforts for this marriage

Sush,
It doesn't matter even if you are the only person to feel a certain way because that exactly what makes a discussion interesting. Imagine if everybody loved Advay and thought Barun was the God of acting? It would then not be a Sushpective but would turn out to be 'Bhajana Mandal' 😆

Personally I feel there is a difference between talking too much vs speak when spoken to. Happy talked a lot, so much to give me a headache and I would have hated had Chandini turned out to be like her. The only change I want in Chandini is to stand up for herself when things get nasty.

Her not speaking up is also one of the reason that has made him one dimensional when it comes to AD's hate for her. Last week we actually saw a totally different side of AD. His relationship with Adi was a googly from Harneet 👏
He always hated Chandini. The only time he had started thinking was after her sharing her kidnap story. That was easily ruined by the baby revelation. Although he utters absolutely cheap stuff about sharam n all, I think his main problem lies in her abandoning her kid. I think AD has a soft heart about kids and is hurt when kids are made to grow like orphans. Now, what can possibly make him rethink about this? Chandini stood there crying (though justified), which gave him the assurance he was right. So unless mama or Chandini really give him a client he won't care to rethink.
He had left her and moved back to his life, but Nani forced him to nibhaoo his marriage. So now frustration has been added to his hate, so now he wants to make sure she is out of his life ASAP, hence the never ending humiliation.

I am in no way supporting his actions. It's super mean and below the belt, but I am only trying to put forth a point about why it is necessary to speak up when required 😊

Ecri,
The new promo did not work for me at all and I infact think it was a wrong move from the makers. Advay setting her Bangles on fire and she stating about her lamha with 0 intensity did nothing more than what the wedding promo did, which was NOTHING!!
I wanted them to introduce his new family, his bonding with Adi and the conflict between AD and Chandy. A promo with just these two will give no reason for the audience to give this a second chance.
And ST's voice modulation 😡 I tweeted about all of this to the director and he acknowledged it by liking it. Now I am not sure if he is the one to take these seriously or was only playing 'like-like' 😆

PS: I read a beautiful post about yesterday's song sequence in the main forum. U usually don't go to the main forum, but this received a thumps up by the director on Twitter. It's written by Candy and she has beautifully explained about Dev's presence in yesterday's sequence 👏

Agree about the bold

U can't help but compare
Barun's character in the first season was written so well Advay falls short in comparison.

Hi Ranjitha,
Good to see you back dear...I was hoping I didn't scare you and other friends off the cc...by my rant yesterday...😆

I think we all are talking about parts of the problem...when we talk about Advay's characterization or Chandani's...the main issue is lack of vision...what is the big picture? How do things fit in to the big picture? How would he realtionship filled with so much hatred ever develop? Obviously not with a repeat of hateful acts all the time...and i don't think by Chandani locking horns with him either...and doing tit for tat...I also don't think inserting physical attraction scenes will take care of the hate...which I think most of us see...but the director doesn't...Although hormones are important...women are not purely driven by hormones alone...the mental state has to be receptive or at least neutral for the hormones to trigger...No woman will feel hots for a guy who has been abusing her an her beloved family mentally...and treating her like crap...

For example take the baby story...Ok...I get it he thinks it is her baby and she abandoned it...and that's a big grievience for him to hold against her...What do Nani and Chandani do about it? Nothing...which I think is your point ...and I agree...They can't just expect him to swallow that...so there has got to be something...right? May be nani tells him...the baby is not Chandani's or suggests that ...or Chnadani does...but that will only make him dig more and go after Meghu..kicking the Vashishths even when they are already down...that butchers his character more and creates more hate filled situations...

What's the alternative? I don't know ...may be that he allows himself at least the benefit of not having verbal diaohrhea...every time he talks to her...Hold the grudge by all means but be aware of what's going on today at present...let her relationship develop with Adi...May be its the mausi who should be the main actor to drive her out...Advay takes a more passive role...has the grudges but also is present in company of this girl who is a normal human being...and does do normal and loving things for others...He doesn't have to accept it...but there are multiple facets to the relationship...

I think Chandani has spoken up...told him what she thinks about the marriage...has told him she believes in fate and that she believes her moment will come...

I don't know if repeating this again and again brings much...or having a verbal spat every time he says something is useful...as you know I think he is the one who should do less verbalizing, less agression...and that wouldn't require her to more verbalizing and more aggression...

I haven't looked at the promo...will look for it...

Ok saw the new promo...
Setting her Kangan on fire?
Barun I really feel sorry for you that you signed up this show man...I really wished you will get a nice break with this and am trying to stay but the makers are making it very difficult for me to...Any woman I personally know is going to be repelled by it...This is not what I want to watch or anyone I know should want to watch...It is extremely disgusting...

It's symbolic like a metaphor
Don't take it literally

The kangan burning is symbolic
Real scene may show he wants to nullify the marriage
Or something along those lines
