A lot of things took place in coming months, Chandhini started going to college with advay dropping her off at the college because Veer was not letting her drive until she got car license.
Advay would send driver for her when she got free from college. She wanted to spend as much time as possible with him, so she deliberately flunked her driving test so that Advay had to take her to college and sometime she could nag him to come and take her back home too and he never complained. She knew, it was wrong but still it made her feel happy that he would drop everything and come and get her. she had felt so proud when she had introduced to all her friends. Life couldn't get better.
But now she wanted to share her feelings with him. she wanted to tell him her dreams, do things couple did when they were out,to watch a movie while holding hands ...she wanted ...she wanted him to see her as the women she was not a child because to her he was her lover, her soul mate..her husband that one tie binding them together in her mind.
So, when Megha's imarriage was fixed and everyone start preparing for it. She decided tat this time she will dress up and show him that she was not a little girl any more .
So, when Megha told her about Advay's wedding being fixed one month after hers, she thought she heard wrong. It was night time and she was sitting in Megha's room with her and they were going through the wedding clothes for Megha which were delivered earlier today. Megha took the red saree and its blouse and put it on, satisfied it fit perfectly, she picked up another saree and tried it.
Chandhini hid her shaking fingers under a blue saree and asked,''Who is it?''
Megha smiled,''Advay is so close mouthed, apparently he liked her since their school days, both went to college together and they went to abroad together too. Her name is swathi, I have seen her pic, she is beautiful. The pic is in left drawer in my bedside table, Ayi told me to tell you and show you the pic too as she is so busy with my wedding and all and said she keeps forgetting it.''
Chandhini slowly opened the drawer and got the pic out, she felt numb which was may be a blessing because what could she tell Mega di?
she slowly looked at pic but for some reason everything was blurring, she could not focus on picture. So, she simply said,''she is pretty.''
Mega, '' She and her mother lives in Mumbai. last week when baba went for one of his seminars, and ayi also went with him, there they met her. She is a professor too, works in a government college. Her father lives in Australia, her parents broke up when she was just a child but I heard baba spoke to him on phone, he will be coming to my wedding.''
Chandhini closed her fists tightly, the words were simply not registering any more, there was a buzzing in her head. She said,''Di, its really late, I have to go to college tomorrow, I will help you with clothes later.''
Megha,''Oh sorry baba sorry. I forgot , go and sleep now.''
Chandhini slowly got up and went to her room. Megha's smile died the moment Chandhini was out of the room, she silently went and closed the door, a tear leaking down her cheek.
She knew Chandhini had feelings for Advay and it had been so hard to tell her everything. The way Chandhini's hands had trembled and the disbelief on her face, it actually made Megha's heart ache with sorrow. Ayi couldn't have been able to tell her for the same reason.
