Ya I are right I myself is confused about Shivani chandini
I think both are somewhat related
Chandini and Shivani both have have got rebuked or failed past which people are using are using now even to get her morale down inspire of all this they both are standing straight
Ya I loved barun for how he instantly defended her when written started to ask uncomfortable question regarding her height it looked like he understood that she is uncomfortable with those question
And chandini character is not scripted well sometime think about Dev marrying pp sometime she is afraid from going out but sometime she goes with a Mae alone sometime she is something other time something it's very confused character
For sympathetic with chandini or understanding her I have to let me remind that she has a step mother amnesic father a tormented past and a threat from stranger and love for Dev the character flow of her action don't give me that feeling

Chandni character was not properly sketched at first
But they are trying to rectify it now
Shivani is a confident girl and is doing so well

I'm finding Shivani doing a good enough job as Chandni, a subtle, graceful and dignified character. Chandni cannot be compared to other chirpy or bubbly FL in other soaps, for example like Khushi in the first installment. I am mentioning Khushi because I haven't really followed any other show other than the first season. The two characters are poles apart. Though Chandni is a matured and subtle natured character, yet she has her moments of fun with her sisters and wit with Advay. But that's all there is to it. There has to be a certain restraint even in her fun moments, which is being portrayed by Shivani well. You can't expect her to be like Khushi, jumping around and doing nautankis and throwing impulsive challenges at people and boosting confidence. If she does that, her character will simply be butchered. Yes, there needs to be better character development in Chandni, which can be done with a good script and dialogues. But Shivani is doing a decent job with whatever script and dialogues she is being provided with. Regarding off-screen segments and interviews, well I firmly believe and look only for the quality of work an actor does, not what she/he speaks to reporters.
