MULTIPLE THREADS ON THE SAME TOPIC

No offense to anyone who is active on this forum and increasing the forum activity. I know I am not contributing as much as I'd like to.

I just would like to point out ONE main issue with the forum:

Please don't make multiple threads on the same topic

For example: TRP, offscreen segment video links, new pictures, Instagram/Twitter/FB updates from the actors/SP accounts, news article links etc.

Please take a minute to check 2-3 pages if there are threads already made for the topic. You can comment there and bring it to the top of the main forum.

I'll explain the reason

I have given a snapshot of the CHASKA METER rating for our show and the top show for the past 3 weeks. If you notice the highlighted "number of views", you can see that that is where we are losing every week.

These views are calculated by dividing the total number of views by the total number of threads and then giving the number a weightage. So even though the topics are hot topics (pink color with a minimum of 250 views), it is not helping because we have wayyy too many threads but not as many views.

Too much to understand?

Let me make it simple.

It is better to have 10 threads with very high views (like 10,000+) than 50 threads with less than 1000 views each.

We don't have a MOD to merge the threads. So we have to be careful ourselves.

We are leading in activity because of number of posts made but highest point for activity is 150 while for views it is 500! hence views are more important than activity

Views will increase as members increase.

I do check first few pages before posting things...

One more thing i noticed from other forums is AT's , EDT's, HS DT, FF's threads, any thread with 50+ pages has lot of views and contributes more to points!

So please be active in these threads...especially our AT's needs to be more active

Making less number of threads might decrease our 'activity' points, but it won't be more than 10 points decrease. But people actively participating in fewer threads will increase views.

Yes, ATs and EDTs are the 2 main threads in the top forum that are active. If you notice their forum, their pages don't increase even half as much as ours. But their views in ATs and EDTs are very, very high.

Ask to make it a sticky..so everyone should get to know it..

I think it will be great if we have a single thread for all the social media updates

Girls girls. I understand that we are all excited about today's episode and cant contain the emotion. But can we please make one thread per topic? Limon pointed it out right. And also making too many threads for each and every scene makes us feel little tired and not feel like commenting individually. If you want to highlight multiple things that caught your attention Pls make one post and list them all rather than making one post for each such thing. It will be easy for is to read and comment too.
