Hi Guys,
As you know I don't want to engage in a TRP debate...and I certainly didn't want to get into that debate on my thread...so opening this one...just to share something...please feel free to share your views...We dot have to agree but just be respectful to all...

Was talking to mom in India...who is an avid TV watcher...Star being her favorite channel...watches NK and IB ...
She is a TRP aunty...And has watched IPK1 with interest...

Her feedback on IPK3
I watch it sometimes...but I am not liking the story...
How can someone hold grudge against a small child like that? It makes no sense...
What the heck is the writer showing...when they show a man walks into a girls room at night and when the girl walks into his so often...? Ye bhi koi Tareeka hei Badla lene ka? I don't like that!

What she said she liked was...
MIkus character...(WOW...I know right? We on IF had written him off...)But his character is simple and makes sense to my mom...incidentally ...she had not picked up that Mikku is Advays brother...
She says...the girl is pretty...😃
She liked the fimly poses...
She likes that ML is showing ...more decent behavior now...(although I had to point it out to her that he is...because at this point...she thinks both PP and Advay are similar sleezbags...)

There you have it...Not writing it to debate...but just to share some feed-back! It is important for her to get hooked up to a show in the beginning...if that doesn't happen...she will not consider watching it from the middle...

HI Sush! I was talking to a friend back home and she said something very similar, that she doesn't like the story (and she never watched S1, even after all the begging from my side 😆). She said some of the things the characters do, doesn't make sense to her.
She also said she liked Miku and the thuggish wala little sister's story arc and was looking forward to that 😆 Seems like that's the general consensus. Personally I like Miku too, and wish they would show him more.

Ideally it z wrong to hold 8 year old girl responsible for everything they shld.have showed her around 14 or 15 may be it would have made more sense then. They started the show on a very wrong foot then started stupid science shit. They should have started show normally then make audience aware of advay's intentions at later stage.

interesting to read feedback and also from CDlover. thnx both. i suspected as much, even im not connecting with the story and some of the behaviours from the characters *coughchandnicough*, advay is a another story. i have no issues with an anti hero character but it takes, i feel a great deal of effort on all fronts to pull off a story with such a character with a revenge theme. i also feel that people not feeling the characters or their behaviour has to do with the fact that they are not properly fleshed out,, at the end of the day you need the audience to connect with the characters, so i can see why they would like miku, even i like him. there is an warmness about him but most importantly he doesnt feel closed off as a character. you can make a simple character complex but complicating them from the start is quite off putting and confusing. more is less, simplicitys the best and it can still have nuance and complexity, you should build it up gradually.

I agree Hina, they shouldn't have shown him holding grudge against a 8 year kid,... I mean ok when it happened he himself was very young and for him girl's betrayal was the utmost. And maybe he focused on that for years...but now he is a grown man, who is not only an intellectual mathematician but a worldly dude. My objection was that how come he is still focusing on that petty thing and want revenge from girl alone. He should have tried to broaden his vision and find the exact reason why that young innocent girl he knew, did what she did. He has to know, since he is all grown up that children unless they have psychopathic streak in them, won't do something this vicious.
So that's where my interest weaned off from the very first week.
And what Adhvey is doing here,, is called revenge then I am sorry...this is just not pulling my interest...as I call it, it is more of a bafoonpanti than revengepanti. Some of us do want to see more substance than groping and necking between the lead every two seconds, in those atrocious clothing and blaring music. Sorry!😳

i agree, i can understand his psychology but even i feel like maybe they copped out by making her 8, the age alone (even if she did something) would absolve her since she was so young and their cognitive ability is still developing and isnt as complex as those who are older like advays age at 15 or the adults especially if someone was using her.

Copy-paste from TRP thread 😊
The problem with TRP viewers is, they accept or reject a story once and for all. If they like a show in the beginning, they will stick to it, no matter what, but if the first impression is not good, they don't bother to give a second chance, for they have too many choices out there.

Especially for IPK, the slot leader has a solid fan base and the fan base is not for or just for the jodi, but for the story and other stuff that make it a wholesome project.

IPK has done pretty well in the last 5 days and the makers are trying to work on things they were criticized and the promotion strategy has also changed. The opening episode, the Friday episode where that Payal walli died and the pigeon poop one did the maximum damage and it will take a while for the TRP audience to forget those episodes and give this a second chance.

My mom stopped watching it in the second week and now I keep bugging her to watch it again, but she doesnt care. South Indians have even more choices, since they watch regional channels as well.
