Hammie's Impressions ~ep 18~26.7.17. Cat amongst the clay pigeons
Despite being vigilant, and having our wits about ourselves. Invariably in life there are moments when we fall prey to being deceived, either by circumstances or at the hands of people we interact with. In today's episode, rather deftly the CV's use a prop that in a nut shell shows the crux of Chandni's anticipated nuptials with PP. The flock of feeding pigeons at Advay's feet on the terrace is symbolic of guile and deception that is being carried on.This guile none can see except the Strange Singh Raizada. Worst still is that the fodder offered to the pigeons is none other than his rather oblivious childhood mate Chandni. The pigeon figuratively alludes to one who is easily swindled, deceived ,exploited in short is a gullible person.
In the main Advay comes across a breaker rather than a maker. Most certainly to Chandni, their recent interaction has begun on a wrong footing where he certainly is seen by her as rubbing her the wrong way. However the fact is that Advay is the cat set amongst the pigeons. The obvious pigeons are the vulnerable Chandni firstly. Secondly come PP and his mother.The one who earmarks them as easy targets to be exploited is the shrewd ,young, matriarchal figure of Indrani. Advay, may have Chandni in mind when he creates debacles and disruption in PP and Chandni engagement. But Advay's real aim is to expose the sinister, intriguing exploitation that Indrani carries out on easy targets to fulfil her own purposes.
Once more the cat strikes and as if by some freak action, as if the chucking of tea at the esteemed guests is not enough. By some negative spell Chandni's magnetic slippers are forcefully pulled off! and one is robustly attracted to PPs magnetic belt that Advay ,notably gifted him. The other slipper flies as if by some surreal magic and gets stuck to the metal buckle of PP's mothers clutch bag. Symbolically its seen as a highly inappropriate action on Chandni's part ,where she scoffs at PP's mother wealth ,symbolized by her purse on the one hand! and PP's masculine image symbolized by the belt that holds his breeches! All this shocker scenario ,of course controlled by the gadget in Advay's fingers! To me this is yet another sign for the bewildered Chandni to watch out for weakness of gullibility , which is fast becoming stumbling block for Chandni! She needs to reject the proposal. As Indrani is making good use of Chandni's pro family traits! Have to add that good naturedly Advay quips to PP.. Chandni is prone to show mild mental illness on a scale of 46/50.. really warning PP of being duped by this family of fraudsters !
Advay can see how Indrani is trying to pacify the boy's furious mother. From the terrace he watches, how Indrani shows great humility before PP's mother, appeases the stool pigeon by her persuasive words. How the sly vixen, Indrani, ensures the marriage proposal is still on. Advay works out , what Indrani does is to strum on ,upon the PP's mother's weak position, i.e that her son PP is desperate to marry Chandni.. come what may!
The bad boy releases his frustration by feeding the flock of the gullible pigeons. He wishes he can save PP and his mother from the lies that Indrani feeds them.. he watches how she feeds and fattens the easy helpless birds ,only to consume them ,their wealth, for her own purposes.. Murli points out rightly that doves were used as carriers of billet doux.. but his master shows the birds to be carriers of hate messages. Advay's birds do carry hate omens.. his fury at seeing how the vashists' robbed him and his family of all they possessed .now they use Chandni once again as a clay pigeon , to trap rich birds.. Advay resents it that Chandni is being used as a pigeon.. figuratively a beautiful woman, a pretty incentive to revive the financially bankrupt Vashist family. Advay speaks prophetic words.. if more outcome is anticipated then more input has to given.. The stool pigeon.. Chandni's recent action is denounced by her aunts. But as Advay had predicted earlier.. Indrani for positive outcome stands by Chandni and wavers off her mistake of grossly inappropriate behaviour. But instead apologize to the boy, keeping in mind how the family will lose out if this marriage won't come about.. Indrani encourages that things are niggling due to incident but the bond is not broken. Chandni is duped and she commits to apologizing to PP. But flattery from her sisters always manages to keep Indrani aiming high in the worst possible scenarios as she believes in doing the needful.. to prey upon the gullibility of the weak by power and the stupidity of the foolish by providing them service! She refers to both her pigeons Chandni and PP's family!
Mind you.. Advay's hench persons too , set upon the vulnerable PP and his mother.. on their masters behest! giving them relaxation proves to be more of painful mental massage, get the message they being fooled here by the vashists! Chandni too seeks PP too offer her pardon.. so she can relax the tension in their relationship. She also strives to find the tension remedy for her mother as one..she repeats to clear the air about their relationship means a lot to her.. from the shadows Advay too turns up and starts on her as if she was his would be wife..but secretly meeting another man! Chandni goes into battle mode.. gets furious at being referred to as his future wife. He teases her,would she prefer being called, Chand, baby,honey? For the first time she reasons with him, shares her predicament.. for her mothers sake she came to tender an apology to PP..she request him to talk with her husband. Advay disagrees, talk then as she is talking to her husband! he draws closer to her..he hates her taking PP'S name..she repeats it yet again, to see him getting jealous delights her secretly.. he threatens he'll do something bad.. she dares him .and he clicks his lighter! hurls the lighter across to the sleeping PP's ..burn proof oiled body!!he smiles wickedly!the oil will not burn PP.. its flames will burn Chandni. Her defiance and mental stability will go up in flames! One thing is evident by this scene is, Advay does not give empty threats ! Chandni throws water on PP..but really the water is thrown to wash off the negative vibes from people's mind! But most of all with fiery eyes she demands the reason to her being so loathed by him?he stays mum. But she rages, he does not scare her..she fears him not.. he needs to stay away from her! Chandni ,he wants to reason with her but she hisses back at him.. tells him she's not listening! she stomps off.. she sees him too much of a villain and far from being a well wisher.. he only wishes to warn her.. quit being gullible like a stool pigeon..rabba ve.. hamlet53 27.7.17
I found substance in this episode.. the plot thickens.. as chandni's not quite with it father.. approves of Advay.. as the man for his daughter. Yash has this strange affection for this young stranger.. does he sense some connection with this boy... advay's chunni as if by magic .. once again lands on both of them.. question is haan ya na??? raaba ve.. musakali...
