So finally starts a new journey of nafrat and mohabbat...
I am an emotional mess right now but I think writing a review in the middle of these emotions brings out the best of them.
Let me start with THE surprise element of the episode
SHIVANI TOMAR.
OH MY GOD.
I must admit that the negativity had kinda lowered my expectations from her since I think she was decent in her previous shows BUT WHAT WAS THIS?!
She was TOO. GOOD! One thing you should never doubt, truly, is Gul's casting. She fits Chandni's character to the T, looks so beautiful when she cries and drove me on the verge of tears in the scene with her father... She expresses sadness in such a subtle way, not less, not more, and is very convincing. Also, she has such a lovely voice and good dialogue delivery! YES GUL! 🥳
I believe in her, and I know she will win hearts. You go girl! ❤️
Now, contrary to what I, and many of us thought actually, Chandni is not a total rona-dhona types girl. The cap udana with her mouth scene got me 😲 ALSO, Chandu speaks english well
So apparently Chandni's dad, Yash Vashishth has Alzheimer's disease. The scene where her father does not recognize her is heartbreaking... (Again, loved Shivani's expressions here!) Love how she takes care of her father... Since she said that "Main aapki beti hoon baba... Aur aapki maa bhi", it seems like no one in the family cares about him :( The actor enacting his dad was really good by the way!
Chandni has gone through horrible things in the past which is why she is terrified of even stepping outside her home, not even for a grand puja that takes place every 16 years that matters a lot to her step-mother, Indrani. I loved her flashback scenes also. She's got such pretty eyes and looked cute without the liner 😳
Waiting to see what happens ahead now!
LOVE Chandni's character! 👍🏼
And now, what I am going to post ahead might not seem normal so please bear with me
It's been freaking 4 years and 7 months since I had last seen this person on a TV screen in a show.
I cannot describe the emotions I felt when he first appeared, in his full glory, removing the aviators. It was so overwhelming that my mind couldn't process anything. Honestly speaking, I could not focus on the content of the whole episode for the first time and needed to process that what was happening was real.
The charisma, that charm by simply being there, that slightly huskier voice from the last time he was onscreen, those deep brown eyes and the confidence he had...
Damn, I missed you Barun Sobti.
Yes, we had MAMR and we had Tanhaiyan but the joy of seeing you on TV is something which cannot be described. Television missed you Barun, and truly, the pleasure of seeing you acting onscreen, seeing your expressions, your drop dead gorgeous looks and simply of seeing you, since words wouldn't be enough actually to describe you, is unparalleled. Seeing people on all social networking sites currently referring to your comeback as "The King is back" and expressing their excitement for the show just makes me so happy... Sobtian then, now and forever ❤️
ADVAAAY! What a wonderful entry, and a beautiful act by saving an adorable little puppy ❤️ ... only to make us go like "what?" when he says that there is no place for innocence or love in his life. I mean you do such an endearing thing and make us like you and then you leave us confused 😳 Well, apparently that is what will happen with Chandu as well.
Bahubali Shiva rope pulling scene: Barun was amazing here! It totally seemed like he was pulling at the rope with his clenched teeth and veins popping out from his neck. So it seems like Advay will win the trust of sexy saasuma by stopping the Shiva from falling and hence preventing the omen. Then probably make his way into the house as a first step! Let's see! :D
Ritu Shivpuri was good! Juhi Aslam was adorable <3 I liked Salina Prakash and Seema Azmi too, evil maasis :P
Precap: Chandu went out finally! And Advay finally sees her, glaring at her with so much pain and anger in his eyes, vowing to make her burn and pay for what happened 16 years ago.
P.S. There was little of Advay today but really, I didn't mind. Shivani was so good and I love Chandni already! <3 I have only one complain: The editing was not upto the mark. They shifted from scene to scene too quickly.
Otherwise intriguing story so far ⭐️
Overall, I'd rate the episode an 8/10! <3
