This time IPK is all about Barun - ala Rajnikanth style !

IPK 1 was known to be a trend setter of sorts. Where the male lead got equal footage and prominence in the story as much as the female lead. ASR and Khushi were equals in every sense.

Now, I feel IPK 3 is going to make another new breakthrough in TV soap history. For being the first hero dominated show. Advay , rather Barun looms over the entire plot like a giant making all other characters and their perspectives look insignificant.

Everything is about Advay - his past, his scars, his revenge, his smouldering love for the girl, his inherent conflicts and how he overcomes them finally to live and love in peace.

Chandni is really not the female lead. She is his love interest and object of hatred rolled into one. Again what she perceives Advay as - none of the promos focus on that. Probably that's precisely how it is going to be in the show as well.

In fact, the promos are downright confusing in this aspect. She knows him already ? loves him already but fears him too ? Or he is a stranger to her. So her love story begins from scratch only now as she doesn't carry any past baggage. No clue ...

Gul is banking on Barun's larger than life image among Television audiences - especially we bechari hyperventilating naaris. She is trying to pull off a magnum opus , Rajnikanth style !!!

But for the hero to have a convincing, super hit plot around him, he needs 2 things - an eye catchy heroine, and a worthy antagonist.

Shivani - eye catching, sounds quite thrilled to romance Barun - check
Ritu - quietly menacing, promising villain - double check.

Whats more, the music is surely another place which helps build an aura around the hero. And I have no worries on that front. The BG score of the Mandir promo was a classic example of brilliant music elevating a simple scene to a gripping thriller.

On the whole, Gul looks like a student who has prepared well for her exams and knows she has an ace up her sleeve. So she is quietly confident of the result. Barun hai naa, woh kar lega.

And me ??? An ordinary viewer caught in the constant trap of watching SP only during ad breaks. And clicking refresh on the SP FB page every 10 milliseconds. What about me !?!

I am happy, anxious, giddy with excitement, salivating at the prospect ahead. And ...
Also silently dreading the clothes Advay is going to land up in. What are those trousers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True GUL is a very intelligent and clever lady ..she knows how to attract audience of all generations.

I think the makers have intentionally kept Shivani mysterious
We will know her once the show starts
The makers wants to make us curious about her character
As for Barun he naturally dominates every one on screen
Ritu will be a challenging vamp who will be equal for Advay
The music is captivating so it will add to the overall effect
TRP audience will love the family drama so they will be happy
Youngsters will love the romance so they too will be happy
Hopefully the happiness of the audience will be converted to TRP

True that Barun is the Rajnikanth of Hindi Television.😳 The show is coming with a complete package with all elements - romance, revenge, hatred, flashbacks, mystery. I duno when I saw a male oriented show last. So I'm happy that makers are showing Barun as the centre of attraction. As far as Shivani is concerned, she is a great puzzle to be solved and hence her character is kept under wraps. As a acid victim survivor, her character sketch is strong and hopefully she will come as a surprise to all of us.
