So far so good.
Thanks for the compilation of her character traits.
And I hope it remains the same throughout the show.
A calm, collected, educated and a dignified character of FL after a long time.
Really eager to watch her onscreen now.

First Of All I Want To Keep My Expectations Low Regarding Everything About The Show...Specially Chandni. The Only FL I Liked By Gul Was Geet. I Think Geet, The Character Was Better Than Others.

Its Really Unfair To Show That "Sanskari" = "Not-Educated". I Feel Its An Insult That A Sanskari Girl Has To Be Less Educated To All The Girls Doing Much More Hard Work Than The Guys. As Much As I Believe That Education Dont Bring Manners In Someone, I Also Think That It Brings A Certain Kind Of Understanding And Sensibility In A Person. And The So Called Gul's "Happy-Go-Lucky-Clown" Is Not Even Realistic. I Dont Even Think People Behave Like That Always... I Am So Done With Seeing Foreign Return Hot-Sexy MLs Falling For Panchvi Pass Pati Parmeswar Bhakt And Finds The "OTT-ness" As Something "Cute".. No Its Not Cute... Its Irritating. There Is A Fine Line Between Being Cute And Being Annoying And Gul Khan Has Mostly Always Crossed That Line When It Comes To Her FLs

You Know How Much Happy I Am Regarding Chandni Reading Whatever Has Come Out Now But As I Said I Will Only Believe It When I See It Onscreen. Having Said That I Hope Chandni Will Smile, Be Happy, Do Cute Things, Tease, Laugh, Dance, But In A Limit. Not Like "I-Am-An-Acid-Victim-But-Am-Strong-So-Lets-Be-A-Clown-And-Do-OTTness-Unlimited"

I Hope Shivani With Her Acting And Writers With Their Writing Make Me Love Chandni As Much As I Know I Am Gonna Love(To-Hate) Advay :)

Eid Mubarak😊

Thats right people should stop equating sanskari with ' not educated' many writers have shown good educated sanskari girls too too but Gul loves Ott characters..that is why I am excited for chandni! I am hoping she proves to be the way we have thought she is fingers crossed! I have good expectations from the show not great considering it is an Indian show and will have to succumb to trp pressure too at one point of time but hoping makers can execute the story well and show what they have initially planned to show!

Eid Mubarak :)

nice post Maryam!
i am not worried or bothered about FL's education...i believe education is not proportional to character...

but i am so so so glad that she is not OTT character...i am so done with OTT characters! They r not funny but irritating!

Yes, Chandini seems to be a well written character and different from all other Gul heroines. I'm really looking forward to her character.

I am equally excited for Chandni's character as I am for Advay's and I am loving the mystery around her character.
She is beautiful, calm, serene and full of secrets. She is educated. She has gone through a lot. I wonder what flashback scenes they shot in Kerala. Acid attack survivor is another interesting addition.
Every detail that has been out so far is exciting.

Thanks for this post! It's a great compilation of what we know so far about Chandni.
I'm excited to see how the character is slowly unlayered. From being wary of strangers and slowly opening up to Advay. It's going to be great to see her transformation.
She seems to be different from Gul's usual heroines and I hope that it's maintained that way throughout.
Nice post! :)

Great post. I completely agree with each point, esp the superpower to pull of awful costume with grace 😆

I too have great hopes on Chandu. I am done watching bubbly happy go lucky heroines. I mean I get it that they do have depth of character that they hide there sorrow behind a mask. But once in a while it wont hurt to see a real human who is not superwoman. Someone who is vulnerable and has sorrow in her eyes (and acid attack victim will definitely have to know that world is no goody goody place). I dont wish Chandu to be a tragic heroine either. But I dont want her to pretend happy all the time even when she is burning inside.

And the education part. I agree that a good heart doesnt have to be qualified by any degree. But if hero is Harvard graduate then please dont pretend that he will be happy with a woman who is clueless about the world outside her small town. Not being a snob but being realistic. Marriage is a partnership. Its also about sharing your dreams and ambitions. And Chandu being a master in Sanskrit definitely adds more layers to her character. Its a language that hold the wisdom of by gone era ... and poems and epics. I cant wait to see her view of the world around.

Maybe being a grown women of this century, I find it sexy when a man chose a woman as strong as him in all facets😉 ... So I wish to see Chandu lacking in nothing emotional or intellectual or even financial as compared to hero...
