The hall felt eerily quiet as Advay Singh Raizada entered the auditorium.
With a guitar on his shoulder, he ran his fingers through his hair. He looked around and took in the surrounding.
Raizada Mansion. After his parents had passed away 10 years back due to some fire accident, Advay had gone to London to complete his pending courses.
After 10 long years he had now finally returned back, with a motive to take his revenge. Revenge for his parents' death.
His thoughts were interrupted by the soft sound of anklets.
Everyone was busy doing their assigned work. In the evening, there was a puja as told by Daadi. Advay looked around to see where the sound was coming from.
"Mr. Advay Singh Raizada. All the arrangements are almost done." He nodded curtly when Advay's gaze fell on her. A girl who was walking though the hallway holding a basket full of flowers. But her anklets.
Unknowingly, Advay started towards her.
On his way, he bumped into the busy workers.
He ignored them all and kept walking towards her as if in a trance.
She looked up to see Advay looking right at her. Their eyes met.
In a spur of moment, she tripped over the roll of carpet on the floor. Before she could fall, Advay stepped forward and caught her safely in his arms.
He looked at her innocent face and then her beautiful chocolaty brown eyes.
She balanced herself and stepped back from Advay.
Advay's gaze fell on her badge. Chandni. It said.
That's when anger surged through him. He clenched his fists and saw her walk away.
"Yes Mishra. I got it." Advay replied to his manager.
He turned around to see Chandni. Again, before he could stop himself he walked towards her.
She was so busy arranging the tables around the pool that she didn't realise when Advay came stood behind her.
Even thought he was completely mesmerised by her, he remembered his revenge. He saw a jar of oil kept at the corner of the table beside her. He gave it a push and the jar fell down spilling oil all over.
Chandni jumped at the sudden noise and turned around only to slip on the oil and fall directly into the pool.
Chandni didn't know how to swim. She gasped for air. She swallowed and choked. She tried to get hold of anything but there was only water. Her lungs ached as she was now losing consciousness.
Advay saw Chandni drowning. He wanted to see her suffer. That's why he had done this. But he didn't feel any satisfaction or contentment seeing her drown. Instead, he panicked. Fear grabbed his heart.
Without a second thought he dived into the pool to save her. He got hold of Chandni who was already unconscious. All the staff had surrounded the pool at the commotion as Advay placed Chandni on a couch nearby. As the other staff treated her. He retreaded backwards. Without a glance at Chandni he stormed out of the Raizada Mansion. Frustrated at his emotions. Angry at himself for what he was feeling and what he had just done.
He didn't know what this feeling was, the emotions he felt for Chandni. He didn't know why he felt the way he felt. But he knew that he had to somehow get rid of these emotions which were overpowering him.
