im no fan of shweta's but when i read abt this incident i felt really sorry for shweta. and i dont think she said all this for publicity...what publicity wud she get by raking this issue with deepak qazir of all ppl after so many years? speaking abt raja wud have given her more publicity. and looks like though cezzane and deepak were involved in the prank but it was deepak who asked for money.
it was rumoured that CK and ST were having an affair when the show started but they broke off. thats when things soured between them and thats why prolly CK played the prank...but DQ seems to be a chauvinist who supported one man against and woman and then later blackmailed the woman for money. how disgusting!
some ppl have commented here ST must have lied earlier and gone to attend such functions thats why balaji doubted her...but methinks thats not the case. at one time it was a trend among balaji actors to reserve some days in the year for attending navratri functions. some were even caught lying for the same...thats why prolly BT guys doubted her too as the timing must have been suspicious. but in any case even if ST had done something similar earlier it doesnt justify anyone else's actions.

Smriti was not just repeated, she was brought back to the biggest role and show from Balaji camp i.e. Kyunki Saans Kabhi Bahu Thi, despite differences with Ekta but public could not accept anyone else as Tulsi. Sakshi too was featured as Ganga in Ekta's Mahabharat. Shweta was offered Kunti's role but she was looking for a lead so she preferred Ajeeb on 9X and Jaane Kya Tune Kahi on Colors. Unfortunately both shows flopped. I did not say one has to be on good terms with every single person you work with, but atleast with the company you do, else one day you pay the price. This is general, not just in reference to ST. As for ST, ask any one from the tv industry you will know the truth about ST. She is nothing like the character Prerna in real life. Funny how fans think an actor is the same as what they portray on screen! 😆

FACT CHECK: Ekta repeats her heros/male actors but not her heroines.
Did she give Amna any role after KTH ended? NO!
Did she give Sakshi any role after KGGK ended? NO!
Did she repeat Neha after KYPH ended? NO!
Did she give Gautami any leading role after Ghar Ek Mandir? NOO!
Nausheen after (Kusum)? NO!
Kumud (Aashkaa) after Kusum? ....NO!
Only heroine she repeated again was Gauri Pradhan and thats becuz shes married to her golden boy Hiten. 😆

We are discussing Ekta's biggest shows and the older bigger stars. Some of the people you mentioned are not even around in the telly field that much anymore. As already mentioned, Sakshi was in Mahabharat and Gautami came back as Tulsi!! Before you come up with "facts" make sure you know what you are talking about! 😉

methinks the whole argument of pro vs con of why ekta never repeated ST is wrong here from both sides. the reason why ekta didnt repeat ST or all other heroines in a major role is because all tv producers including her prefer fresh faces as they cost less and work more. the older heroines are already 'stars' and come at a price which producers want to pay. hence most who were on air abt a couple of years back are out of work.
but yes all producers have their favorites and ekta's are prachi desai, anita, shabbir, ronit roy and hiten. and yes BT did have a problem with ST only towards the end of KZK after her problems with her husband came out in the open but that i guess is much after this incident which shweta is talking abt. and ya ST was never the lead in ajeeb...she played a cameo.

Neha, Amna, Smriti, Nausheen.. these are mega-soap BT heroines only.. If u know abt these shows.. they rocked in their respective channels.. And add PD too..

As I said, she WAS offered.. that's her choice whether she'd work with BT or not.. 👍🏼

Lemme correct you.. She was looking for a role where she could play something diff than Prerna.. in Ajeeb she played negative.. in Naginn, she played Negative Naginn.. and in JKBH, the concept of the show changed later on.. When the show started, the concept was something else.. But later on, it was ruined.. So her preference was playing something diff from Prerna.. 😊

I dont need to ask from 100000000 people from Industry.. Hiten, Ronit and other buddies we know and talked to, were quite happy with working with her..When she was unhappy in her real life, her frustration used to come out in the sets.. But after her divorce, she's all fine.. Before telling ME, better u check the comments of her co-stars in JKBH and others from KZK.. 😃

The char of Prerna was not divine and sati savitri type.. If she WERE like Prerna, I won't have liked her so much.. Good that she is not.. She's better.. U seem to know a lot abt her.. good for you.. But I am happy with what I got to know after interacting with her.. 👍🏼 No need to tell me what her TRUE fanz think abt her.. 😊

Shweta would have made a great Draupadi and Ronit could have been Karna.
