This was just my opinion. And I already said, I am not saying she can't act, I m saying "I feel she can't act" .

Secondly, I didn't realise some Niti fans would feel hurt which is justified, since if someone calls my fave something, I would also feel hurt.

I don't think the main problem with this new Ishqbaaz is Niti. Rather it's Nakuul AND Niti (i.e. their chemistry). He is 36-37 years old but looks like he's in his early to mid thirties while Niti looks like she's in her early twenties at most. In some scenes they do look more like a filmy father / daughter jodi.

And because of that I can't but help compare what Ishqbaaz had before with Surbhi / Nakuul. Their chemistry was driven, in part, because they both looked comparable (even if Surbhi is a lot younger).

I think if Gul had chosen an actor who looked younger and matched Niti, DIB could have been a superhit. Niti is a very good actress but she will no doubt be the one to be blamed for DIB being a flop when it's all Gul's fault for not taking appropriate risks.
