The journey that was...Was beautiful
Like normal human tendency, one is helpless feeling what the journey could've been and it didn't.

Shivika: Their dynamics was perfect. Can't believe I am using past-tense. Loved every transition in their life, every phase of their journey towards togetherness is cherished. NM-SC, both improved as actors over time and their was perfect "taal-mel" as Daadi mentioned. Both would move on to other projects with other leads. But this chemistry cannot be replicated. Some fans are okay with new IB S2 if it were NM and SC together. but we've already seen that in redux, though it were them, it was hardly appealing. This template of characters did wonders to them , as Shivika and as actors.

All good things come to an end. I for one did not want this IB forever. But the only thing I ever wished for US viewers or rather Shvika fans who cherished every bit of them was a happy closure. That Shivay and Anika with their shortcomings, their backstory and reason for one with day to day struggles for survival and the other not believing in love eventually finding love, respect, companionship in their relationship, DESERVED a happily ever after. We deserved it too.

I would compartmentalize and think AU never happened. Even if it were, I'd choose Shivay proposing to Anika as my last happy closure. I haven't watched episodes after that.

For me Shivika belong to Real Universe. And closure would be probably the time Shivay introduces Anika to her father and her childhood. Or maybe the time when she came back to him after Bua-induced separation and said "meri khushi mere baagad bille ki bahon mei hai".

If I have to choose a closing scene in my mind, like how it was in Anu's VM, I'd have Shivika happily diving into the pool together as a happily ever after, why that ?? Because there was always a "paani' catalyst to their journey of love and companionship.

I wasn't willing to write this good-bye here. I felt just like how this journey abruptly ended for us, teh way it abruptly ended for actors too(n a way), I decided I won't write anything about IB.

But I had mostly responded when some good discussions were on. Toh, yeah, am here.
Will miss finishing up work and accommodating time during work travels for IB. This show came to me during a difficult low phase of my personal life. This was my happy-pill after a hard day's toil. Gone was the time when IB was relaxing and helped in unwinding. It had become a burden off-late.

This was my only show that I happen to watch so long. Baaki three shows I watched wound up within 200+ episodes. Its 9 years at IF. I am not sure whether I may indulge in a daily soap after this and I really hope I don't. 3 out of 4 shows I loved had dramatic twists and unbelievable deterioration. This mutilation of characters is here to stay until drastic changes aren't made with ratings calculation or general SOPs for production houses while dealing with story/actors/characters. "investors" instead of creative team takes a call on story. TV industry is not recognized by directors or creative team but by production houses. This must go for any quality narrative to be attempted in first place. Its Money Vs Talent And that's why inefficient inexperienced writers will stay, the ones who cant write a cohesive story. They continue to milk the popularity that they've generated and say show must go on..For whom? It is fooling a NEW set of audience if not the same. And this cycle continues...

Oh I forgot. This is Redux wali Dadi jinki ishqbaaazi ke kisse hum nahi jaante.

Sorry didn't mean to spoil the happy nostalgia mood. But it's just heartbreaking to see what they have done. I haven't been watching but despite that dil dukhta hai.

Back to happy reminiscing:)

Daadi of IB Episode one was mentioned to her late husband on video message that instead of sons , unhe seedhe pote kar lene chahiye the.

She may be in the race against time for this now. Kuch bhi ho sakta hai. Writer madam would read up on Adoptions or fertility journals next and 'ghusao" logic. Sabki shaadi huyi, her sons and pote were 4ever marrying. Humesha, Why should boys have all the fun?
