@bold I am sooo GLAD I skipped AU and only watched a few scenes here & there.. 😆😆

Current doom is due to DISINTEREST.. Sab log except the audience were bored.. And frankly, I can't blame the actors.. If the story is on loop - fake biwi/shaadi or blackmails, MU, make-up, actual shaadi.. then koi bhi bore ho jayega... Ohh groupbaazi bhi add kar do! 😆😆

Writer are to be blamed.. Parallels, 'arcs', third angles, loops ke chakkar mein, pure serial ki GEOMETRY ki bigaad di! (Note to self: waah waah what a mathematical sentence! 🤣)

I'll miss their BANTER.. I can relate to it.. Many of my conversation are actually like theirs.. Isliye apna sa lagta hai..😊 and that is why I can leave them(stop watching) but then I can't leave them! 😆😆

Perfecto.. Let's do a rewatch.. Someone share the episode links.. I don't have all all the episodes downloaded 😆😆

So I don't think the actors were that disinterested...I'm talking NM-SC here obviously...baaki groupbaaz logon ke motivations toh let's not even begin to get into😆

The actors were FORCED to lose motivation through the disinterest of the writers...actually it goes beyond disinterest...it's like ACTIVE sabotage since quite a while now...you haven't seen the AU as much so maybe you don't realize how much they went OUT of their way to sabotage whatever little basic semblance of characterization Shivika could get in the redux...story toh anyways repetitive hi rehti hai Gul land mein...how is it that NM-SC managed to live through so many reboots of shaadi/blackmails in RU but never faltered while in redux it all became a giant mess? They were FORCED to disconnect from that which came naturally to them...that is what I've observed...bit by bit, that is what was constantly done in redux...in the name of calling this 'AU' and a "hatke" story from RU, they just kept making the characters more and more hollow...heck, NM-SC mainly tried to SALVAGE that shit even in the midst of total writing failures...kaafi time tak they kept pouring sincerity into it despite such terrible redux characterizations for both of them...so no, I don't think THEY were disinterested...they were trying to be professional and passionate actors in what they were doing for however long they could manage to.

It was once the actual forced leap news broke to them that I think they actually lost interest...especially SC...for the first time in these long 3 years I've seen her check out mentally from her work...despite many phases before where I could tell she wasn't connecting with what she was doing, I could see her PASSION for it...but Gulneet went out of the way to MURDER that passion in her...and it's been sad to see that.

I know you think that NM was given the PTSD track to salvage his interest in the show but I actually think it was just another gimmick from Harneet to fill time and portray herself as a wannabe social activist. She was the one killing time...NM had something meaty to sink his teeth into so he focused on that...SC bechaari ko wallpaper hi rakha but she still tried to pour soul and sincerity in the few brief flashes she got vis a vis emotional scenes.

All of the timepass ideas were about whether or not Shivaay will guilt trip...lol the PTSD was just another in that list...the whole so called Shivika story wala redux never functioned towards building Shivika as a unit...by the end toh it was all about whatever little one off drama or emotional scene they could give to NM-SC...woh bhi seemed like ehsaan kar rahe hain...lol...atleast that's how they wrote it...jaise they are doing ppl a favor and then back to usual faltugiri and groupbaazi SS distribution.

So if you ask me honestly, lack of interest was all on the part of the writers...overnight they just gave up on Shivika and set out to actively sabotage them...to murder the last thread this show was hanging by cuz fans were refusing to let go. NM-SC did their parts sincerely as long as they could...never faltered.

I wish I could just wipe out the AU. I guess if not for real I can at least do that it my own mind for my own sanity because it's depressing to see what the show and Shivika have been reduced to.

@AY and BW: I am so looking forward to your rewatch and discussions. Will do the rewatch alongside although thanks to the time zone discussion will probably have to go back to stalking and reading 😆. But even that will be fun. I am struggling to let go of Shivika especially in the manner that it has happened despite the fact that I never connected with AU Shivika at all but phir bhi, i guess I always had a slender hope of returning to AU someday even if I thought I had given up all hope. Khair if not memories of a goodbye to cherish at least there are memories of the journey worth cherishing. Happy to relive that journey vicariously by just reading and stalking 😆.

I thought we were gonna start the rewatch the same day as the leap, no? Abhi se start kar rahe hain kya? 😆

Haha aajkal I try to go to sleep earlier cuz long days...so if you can shift that back by an hour, would work better for me...or we can just keep the discussion going as and when we are able to watch? Maybe that will work better cuz everyone's in different time zones😆

@AY: just read your post above and couldn't agree more. NM-SC were the ONLY thing that were holding this together. HS was clueless from the time she became show runner. But the RU characters were so strongly etched by then and had come such a long way that they held strong through everything. But AU mein wohi hi hata diya. Everything that worked and was special was stripped off. NM-SC did the best they could with what poor material they were given but the I think they themselves struggled to connect with AU characters. The RU characters came so naturally to them. Even in AU right upto that pillow fight scene which was probably one of the few Shivika scenes I connected with in AU, where they had something a little bit RU like they made it work. But systematically Shivika just got sabotaged more and more and were written out even before the news officially broke. And in this mayhem and given the current writing and the state of the show it's just their professionalism that it even managed to come this far. Who can blame them for now losing connect at this point.

Haha Biraj, no worries...we are all in different timezones so coordinate karna waise bhi tough hoga...feel free to chime in with your thoughts on the epis as and when you are able to...this time you can savor them more than you did on your first time binge-watching, haina?😆😆...and no matter the current mess, we have like 550 epis of good memories to cherish...that's a lot of material to soak in...lol so in many ways we are lucky than many other shows ki stories that got messed up much quicker than this with barely that many good scenes/memories to revisit😊

And that's the real irony, right? lol it sure looks like she lost interest or any semblance of SENSE the moment she became show runner😕...cuz if that's what an "interested" Harneet's work looks like, then toh all enterprises she runs are DOOMED😆...this was her chance to run things fully on her own steam and THIS is what she produced? lol...such delusions of grandeur to try this experimentation of a watered down version of Shivika and try to sell it as a bullshit "dark" and "mature" version...lol oh she was INTERESTED then, folks...haha she only "lost interest" once the audiences didn't bite into her bullshit enough and demanded something beyond her cheap stunts. So then she basically threw in the towel and murdered Shivika simply out of spite, looks like *shrugs* 😕...Aakhir Gul ki hi protege hai😆

When I said actor were DISINTERESTED... I did not mean they were not giving their all OR that it showed in their acting.. they were thorough professionals..
What I meant to say.. Ek monotony aa gayi thi for them.. they needed more :) Character weren't spunky either - substance nahi tha unmein.. and reliving the same thing again isn't easy! 😆😆

AND 100% all the blame goes to the writers.. They did sabotage it! They had an ulterior motive.. They started this from RU only.. Used it for their experiments.. took the fans for granted and then in AU took the nonsense to another level only..

Ek baat bolun.. I genuinely gave redux a chance :) but the redux characters irritated me sooo much I can't even begin...Mujhe na michmichi hoti thi unse.. 😆 They were itna cliched.. Woh Anika used to give 'I'm oh so innocent but kuch toh hai raabta' look and Shivaay used to give 'I don't give a damn about the world but kuch toh toh hai raabta" look.. & mujhe na ajeeb ajeeb hota tha.. I used to go REACT dammit! 😆
And I like introvert/quiet/deep/silent/destined to meet type characters/couples, so it wasn't that.. and I had kept all my biases aside - pinky promise! 😆
I keep on thinking why they irritated me, but I just don't know! 😆

Anyways, you know what...screw them...those who shall not be named :P This is all I have to say to them:

I wanna focus on talking about the memorable stuff...warna in makers ki stupidity ko toh hum jitna bhi rehash kar lein, there will be no answers...lol
