I think this gets so very ugly much more so than the first time around because that is the whole point of this mentalist challenge. His contention that it was a series of fortunate events that had them ended up being together. That given different circumstances things would end differently. And Shivika's contention that no matter what the circumstances or how unlikely it may seem or how high the odds are stacked against them, they are soulmates and meant to be and will always end up together and the universe will conspire to somehow make it happen. So in order to prove his point the odds are going to be really highly stacked against them and seem impossible and they are going to end up with situations which are seemingly unsalvageable and irretrievable and from which there is no going back and yet they will eventually triumph over it all. So if things didn't look impossible it would be all too easy.

also at the risk of running ahead of myself May i add this whole Drama high voltage point seems more well thought than any of the half baked separations even if this is painful to watch too. surprisingly for a change am not pulling my hair and driving myself to the wall and enjoying this all.. well so far.. totally what i have not expected

AY and Fary, what you said is so right. If he wanted to slander and humiliate Anika and tarnish her reputation, label her a loose woman and break her marraige there were so many ways to have done it. It was easy enough for Shivaay singh Oberoi to achieve that without directly dirtying his hands. But he put himself right at the centre of it. Because this is a personal, so very personal on a level that he himself doesn't understand as yet.
No matter what there is no way Shivika can ever marry anyone else other than each other. Everything will conspire to make that happen by hook or by crook more like by crook as in this case but end result cannot be anything else. The path maybe whatever.

Another interesting thing was that not only did he put himself right at the centre of it he claimed they were in love and had a lover's tiff and that she was marrying NN as a consequence. He could have done worse. He didn't accuse her of being a gold digger and sleeping with him for money while marrying Nikhil. The kind of thing that Daksh insinuated about Anika. If two people are supposedly in love and take their relationship however far it being made public is embarrassing but not necessarily humiliating in quite the same way. The R word is but we haven't got to that yet. He hasn't accused her of that so far. As of now the gandagi is only in the dimaag of woh 4 log who are in everyone's business. Premarital sex in a supposedly loving (he said pyaar) relationship is a personal choice. It doesn't make anyone a fallen women or promiscuous one or one of loose morals.
Of course from the precap we know he does worse but something else pushes him to that. Because so far despite the things Daksh said he hasn't actually said that.

NM was brilliant. He was angry but he cannot afford to appear angry for the crowd at her wedding. He has to suppress his anger (at Anika) and instead pretend that he is this man wronged by Anika.

His style and attitude as he came gate crashing, style se utra, walked in focused, raste mei ek chair uda diya, took a pause with that hand getsured saying ek minute, raisng hand for yes ready and folding his fist for a last ounce of strength, jaise people draw in some strength before going on stage to ENACT something and started his pretense with OMG what you are upto, you are marrying , can't be, but really?? Oh No ...over a "tiff??, unbelievable you Anika, it happens, I am saying sorry right. That tone "Iam sorry Anika ...it's like make believe ke liye jhat se saare dialogues bol diye and he waits over ab dekhta hoon, how you get happily married.

Right now I feel that is one thing driving him mad. He doesn't realize it yet but instinctively that's what has been the factor that's gets out the reaction.

His stance the way he put his hands over his hips and stood there. It appeared more like, I have managed to create ruckus, mujhe jo karna tha maine kar li, and then you wait for results. Ki ab tootega and she is PUNISHED and then I can walk out supposedly in peace and triumphant.

No. When she defended herself and directly reached out to him that his one LIE can ruin her, you don't see a triumphant- about his- deeds man, you see a shattered soul, broken from within, trying to pretend that he is the man wronged in love by a girlfriend when in fact its anger overriding him due to his sister's state and possessiveness consuming him subconsciously about her being someone else.

The way he jumped over to the dais. That body language...Shivay's energy is channelized to insult and incriminate her, defeat her emotionally .So I'd believe he staggered a bit for that bit of physical effort. Or is it NM's height woes. Jo bhi hai, what followed could be improvisation when he held on to Nikhil's parents for support.

Kudos to Nakuul Mehta. It was his day..his episode. Even yesterday, a powerpacked performance, you did feel for the man when he sees his sister being driven over, that daze that shock, then the way he said meri behen hai, behen hai, koi ambulance bulao, how he held on to her, it's hard to imagine a man in that situation, the one and only person he feels is family almost slipping out apne hi aankhon ke saamne. That was some wonderful emoting there.

In all of this all-consuming rage and soul-shattering reactions, he has become what he dreaded about. He has kept this a secret about his father having a mistress and he dislikes women who agrees to be one. Having seen that personal confession video, that's exactly how D played around with the very emotion that he dreads about; that Anika is the type who willfully wants to be a mistress.

And now, after the mandir shadi, he has labelled Anika a mistress when she just ended up being his wife. And in doing so, announcing that he has had a relationship with anika, inspite of being engaged to Tia, unwillingly ho sahi, he has just caused disrepute to himself, just like how supposedly his father two timed two women.

And Anika due to her mother's past has only wanted a official label of a wife to be living a RESPECTABLE life in society. And in spite of being married, she will still be called the home-breaker as per society.
