Ok so here's a glimpse of what all has happened till now in Redux n a short characteristic post on the IB clan:
Anika has come to stay at OM with her sis Gauri, cousin Sahil n Sahil's mother aka Trivedi sisters with chachi. This is coz Anika has been thrown out from a rented house by her landlady since she cudnt pay her the rent for 3 long months. She is the sole bread earner of their house, a prospective Wedding Planner and runs dosa stall at roadside to earn her living till she gets a suitable job as a wedding planner to pay her house rent n meet her financial needs. Apparently, Priyanka, who's Shivaay's real sis in this Redux, is getting married and she somehow really liked Anikas designs for Wedding Planning and hence offered her a job. In her 2nd meet with Anika, she realises Anika n her family lost their home so she offers them to stay in OM's outhouse.
Back story on OmRu hasn't much been revealed yet but all we know is the Obros don't share that strong bond which they did in original IB, but they do have their kitchen stories, fun talks, etc. Om is a businessmen n Rudy a model. OmRi haven't met yet though Gauri saw Om from behind while living at OM. However, Rudy n Bhavya have met twice. Bhavya is still an unworthy and unsuitable ACP, God knows how. She once entered OM to arrest SSO coz he terrorised a media person. Apparently, Shivaay n Priyanka's parents, Shakti n Pinky died when SSO was 3 years old. Pinky shot Shakti coz he was having an affair. After shooting him she killed herself. Dadi has still hidden this fact from everyone but Khanna knows about that. So the reporter has somehow found this truth and threatens Shivaay to disclose it to the world. He reveals to Shivaay about husband parents past which he refuses to believe and threatens him instead to attack hi son family if he release this news. As a result the reporter files a case against him but Shivaay with a call to the commissioner gets free. Bhavya is then insulted by Rudy for blaming the Oberois and asks her to leave. Tej n Jhanvi live in London and haven't been shown yet.
Gauri is now a more modern mumbaiya girl. She goes to college and loves her sister Anika a lot. Chachi, however, is a very strange women and keeps on blaming Anika for everything n no money. She calls her manhus coz Anikas mom left her dad n them n started living with another man. But this truth is hidden from Gauri and Sahil. Gauri disapproves of chachi's this annoying behaviour towards Anika, unaware of the truth, and always gives back to her for her bad words towards Anika n even to herself. She calls herself gundi but a smart one. She's shown cute, modern, bubbly, vivacious and outspoken. Sahil however is still paralysed.
Coming to SSO, well he's much of a different person in Redux. He's rude n arrogant for the world but very protective of his family, especially Priyanka. He's very sensitive towards her. He loves cooking with OmRu but doesn't talk to them much. He respects n obeys to dadi a lot. Khanna is still his Security man in house. Oh ya, he's getting engaged to Tia. Tia is very sweet n humble this time. Not that pricy but is shown to love Shivaay truly. She's his childhood friend. Priyanka is getting married to Tia's bro who lives in London n hence in return everyone convinced SSO to marry Tia as he's now even above a suitable age of marriage. He doesn't believe in marriage n love coz f his parents dark past but agrees with dadi to marry Tia for the sake if his family n Priyanka.
Anika, on the other hand, is also quite a changed person. She isn't that loud as b4 rather she is very domicile, hardworking, lovable, self-respecting and sincere. She has a childhood friend Nikhil. They both like each other but Nikhil hasn't proposed her of marriage yet coz they aren't stable professionally. Nikhil is a struggling lawyer but looks nasty coz he keeps on taking money from Anika even after knowing her financially poor situation. But Anika seems to ignore that. She doesn't love him coz she also doesn't believe in love coz of her mother but feels that getting married and having a settled life with Nikhil will give her respect in the society unlike her mother. She's very caring towards Gauri n sahil. She bears all of chachi's taunts coz f them. But after a saturation pt, she still gets into a khidkitod avtaar n gives bk to chachi. Her acquaintance with OM happens coz of Khanna. During Shitia's roka ceremony, Anika apparently comes at OM for the first time, coz she knows Khanna, she calls him her brother, and Khanna seeing her poor situation n incapability to find job, offers her a job of wedding planner for Shitia's wedding n recommends her to SSO.
Coming to Shivika, they had a hit n miss moment at mandir, the same place they first met in Original IB. But they couldn't meet. They meet at OM during Shitia's Roka where somehow Roka chunri lands at Anika, actually meant for Tia. Shivaay drags that dupatta from her and makes Tia wear her. They don't speak to each other but have an eye lock and feels a strong connection b/w them, which is well observed by OmRu n Priyanka. Shivika then finally meet properly at a hospital coz f Priyanka as she came to Anikas home to offer her job of wedding planner for her marriage. Anika thanks her and offers her special dosa. Little did she know this would land her in trouble as Priyanka is allergic to cashews which she added in her dosa mix for Priyanka. Shivika have a heated argument on the same at hospital n blames Anika for taking advantage of Priyanka's innocence to poor people. He also ends up breaking her phone and hurting her from the same. Anika n her family now lands at OM to live there temporarily after Anika isn't capable of paying her rent on Pri's insistence and SSO n the family couldn't stop them though everyone, incl. OmRu, r against to give shelter to unknowns n poor but somehow dadi agrees to Pri's wish. Anika is also against living there coz f her rant n insulting comments from SSO.
Moving over, Daksh is actually Tia's bro and arrives from London, as he lives there. He's getting married to Priyanka but he isn't interested. He's a play boy n apparently likes Payal, a fashion designer and Priyanka n daksh's friend, but Pri obviously isn't aware of this. Before meeting everyone at OM n just a day b4 his Roka, Daksh is with Payal at her place. Payal is designing all of Pri's wedding clothes so Anika visits her to collect Pri's stuff for Roka. But Daksh, in Payal's absence, sees Anika and is lured by her beauty. He misbehaves with her but manages to escape n get unrecognised due to darkness in the room. It is only at the Roka ceremony that Anika recalls him but remains quiet in front of everyone in the name of her family's honour n due to lack of evidence. She later discloses this info to dadi n SSO but they don't believe her. After repeated failures to expose Daksh, she finally warns him to mend his ways n that he won't let this marriage happen with Pri. Daksh is left stunned.
