I am open to this new experiment, or whatever name it is.
This concept reminds me of a book I read few months back " Immortal talks" where they discuss about the scenes (incidents in life) that a character(individual) chooses to experience and play out in his or her life.
Like say...
I travel from point 1 to Point 2. In between the start and destination I have choices to go through sub points A,B,C,D and E. Its my choice to cross points A B and reach point 2 or go through scenes in life/experience as I pass through C D, then move on to point 2. Or a third option being cross AB or CD, both of which leads you to E and then hop onto point 2.
I don't know if I made my thoughts clear. Khair...
Loved the hollow lost and unusually calm nature of Anika and Shivay. Gives the feeling that they have gone back to that point in time where they don't know each other. Yet they are the same and hence that ingrained sense of loss without each other's presence in life.
Its amazing to see the distant look in NM and SC's eyes. Beautiful variation within an episode where initially they had that warm in-love fuzzy feeling reflected in their eyes. And now that soul-less feeling.
Soul-mates come back to each other. Can the not-so-soulmates go their own ways please. Even zindagi (twisted mentalist ke zariye hi sahi) is giving a lovely opportunity. Shivika also win and Awasthi ji also wins.
I miss my Dadi. She was full of life and the bond was evident. Hope she recuperates sooner.
I must admit Lee was good in his restrained approach or say with an air of maturity at least in this first episode. Yes I said first episode. That's how I want to take it as. A new story with my favorites.
Nakuul and Surbhi, amazing variation to their respectively changed persona of Shivay and Anika.
Loving it so far.
The rain scene in first half was lovely, their struggle in the storm and wind, Shivay watching rain with dislike ( he has lost a part of himself in it when he separated from her) and Anika kind of squinting an eye as it rains to comprehend the shift that has happened and when she can't fathom goes on to say aisa lag raha hai kuch bada ho gaya ho, yes its BIG, they are no more them, but it gives this kind of feeling that the transformation that both experienced IN LOVE with each other is sort of subdued, or "dafnaoed" deep within their existence.
Until, destiny brings them back together. Aakhir wedding planner will organize Shivay ka roka/shadi . Ab this is a constant in the story. Yeh life, woh life, back in time, time machine, reverse time machine, whatever, BILLU's shaadi is THE EVENT.
Lets see how Shivay's love for family is depicted here. The core factor which made Anika love him so deeply is absent here, I think.
As for Anika, lets see what makes Shivay have that pull towards her that he did before.
Hope they hold onto the idea that they have within their minds and let the story play out. I just don't want them to hurry back to safety or comedy which seems their forte.
Lovely write up Anu, as always.
