Alright, first thing first. Haven't watched IB properly in a while for all the blunder CVs have made. I watched the entire 20 minutes episode (yes, to my surprise) right after waking up, only because of AniRi. The much Awaited Reunion.
But in that process, something else also hit my mind. And dare I say, I was proud...may be not as much I used to be of the show or of SSO but even if it was for a little while and lesser in magnitude, I was proud.
So far, we have always seen Shivay letting his Tadi come in between him and Anika. Him and his confession. Him and his sanity. Him and his heart that wants to say so much to the person he has grown to love the most in the world. As we all know, the SSO is most recognized by his Tadi and Gussa. His rage has the power to pique to such intensity that he forgets that a saner part also exists in him that knows how to think rationally, how to take calculated steps and how to act on everything measurably that is threatened to be destroyed by his anger and Tadi.
And that's what we have always known of and seen from Shivay. Be it during the Tia track, Daksh track, Ragini-Vikram track, he has ALWAYS held it back. During Tia track, though it was all a pretense, it was Anika's way to make him confess but he let his Tadi and ego come in between and he held his true emotions back. When Daksh went on and proposed to Anika on the stage, he seemed like he would knock him down for even thinking of Anika as anything but a friend (or should I say sister😆) but he kept his feelings sealed. During Ragini-Vikram track, his tadi had intensified so much that he let all the wedding rituals to be completed. I mean who does that?! He knew Anika was lying about Vikram and just 'cause he wanted her to accept it, he let all the wedding functions and rituals happen until ofcourse the wedding day.
And although the foundation of their bond, and marriage has been redefined with a stronger and a million times firmer faith and understanding since the revelation of Pinky, I expected shivay to repeat his actions from all those previous track because I have absolutely ZERO faith in CVs at this point.
Well, to my surprise, he didn't let even 0.001% of his tadi come in between him and the truth - the truth that Anika has always been his wife and always be. The underlying meaning of which is that Anika will always be the person he will love till his last breath. She will always be the one to define his entirety, regardless of the most disastrous storm in their lives.
He cleared the misunderstanding Bua created about his marriage. Bua's blackmail, fake pandit, fake mantras with no sindoor or mangal-sutra as he kept staring at her back back with heated gaze, that nothing but accused Anika for letting that firm trust wobble.
He hesitated not even for a moment to let the truth roll over his tongue. and THAT is what I am proud of. He did his part of the contribution into this marriage. He could easily accept Puja as his wife as a way to show his anger and accusation that she didn't trust him, or for filing those reports and sending his father and bade papa behind the bars. BUT He did not let his tadi come between them that could have him hold back the truth and create more misunderstanding, and more blunder. Rather he made sure, at least HIS part of the misunderstand created by Bua is cleared because even today, Anika means to him just as much. Because even this moment, He loves Anika just as much. Because even this second, he knew if his heart beats, it's only FOR this one woman, Anika. Quite an improvement of SSO, I must say
As far as the precap is concerned, well I'm not bothered. He let her go because now it's up to her after hearing the truth from him itself, whether she wants to stay or go away. He did his part. And anyone who's worried about him NOT stopping her, well he has his own reasons right? He saw Anika giving those evidence to the police (which ultimately is false but well, he doesn't know that) ...and mind you, he didn't believe any of them until he saw the CCTV footage with his eyes. So showing that much anger and not stopping her to go away does seem feasible to me, at least.
Well, I just hope that, even if they're rebooting the previous tracks, we get to see such pleasant differences, and refinements in SSO and hopefully Anika as well, like we did in today's episode. Cheers!😳
Love,
