In the game of TRPS, they literally took a drastic turn in the story of Shivika just pulling them one yr back where they started all over again after separation...

Now should we assume that Annika didn't learn anything abt Shivaay since separation except that he loves her immensely...
The writers have thrown in an open line from Shivay to Anika ki come what may Shivay ka dil sirf Anika ke liye dhadkega.
When its their turn to freeze-thaw Anika's brain, she will tell Shivay that she in her convoluted "shocked" state thought and concluded that he indicated that how many ever dulhans he marries for family's sake, majboori mei hi sahi, his heart when it beats will beat for Anika.

In my pov, they literally got the character of annika down too much for this twist.
Otherwise the kidkithod Annika we know since separation would never walk away but she would confront Shivaay to know the reason because of which he did this, she would fight with him, she would ask him to give a valid reason for the situation they r in...but no just for the sake of trps they forced this on us..

They did this with Soumya once in the past for the sake of same trps and now it's shivika turn...

I better don't watch this than seeing a beautiful story going haywire in the race of trps..

It really sucks! And dont they ever get bored of repeat shaadis for the same guy?
Geez! Even Tej had only Svet!

Tej Bade Papa hain, Shivay hero hai-----Phir chahe eligible ho ya nahi
Jab tak hai Show, Shivay EVER eligible rahega

I have not been watching IB.. but when i read this article IB was the first thing that it reminded me off.

Some excerpts from this article: I read it before I guess.
"There's virtually been zero character growth, everyone's still as dysfunctional as always, even the story beats are repetitive now" Absolutely

"I have thought about this long and hard and here's what I think: these shows are our comfort food. We probably discovered them before everyone else co-opted them (ugh), they've been with us through our ups and downs all these years, they've given us laughter and tears and so many feels, they've been our BFFs when our BFFs were cheating on us with other shows, they've just... been around, you know? So how can we now turn on them simply when they are going through a rough phase? Every relationship has ups and downs... you don't left swipe on love, do you? Of course not!"
Yes, provided its a rough patch due to unforeseen situations. If situation has gone from bad to worse due to one's own carelessness, over-confidence, lack of motivation, investing in too many projects financially or by manpower sharing, I am not here to sympathise and empathise with their logistic issues.

"we know that our favourite show isn't what it used to be, we'd rather not think about it because it opens us up to pain. Plus, we now have to find a new favourite show and frankly, we already have so many daunting choices to make in life, that THIS is where we draw the line."
_____________________________________________________________________

"But just like our real relationships, we shouldn't treat our favourite shows with kid gloves either. We need to call them out when the writing is lazy, when the characters stop growing, when you have seen everything they have to offer... so they can now do better! #SorryNotSorry Silicon Valley, we love you, but you need to DO BETTER (We'll keep hate-watching anyway, but is that what you really want?)"
That is exactly the KOSHISH here.
Maine bol diya. Take it or leave it. I consider this as feedback, what others think, I can't change.

EDIT:
P.S. I was debating if I should write this but your NOTES instead of 'DISCLAIMER' cracked me up.. I'll edit this if it causes trouble! Sorry! 😆 No worries

Having said that I feel bad when I saw NM had posted that they worked really hard to eenact the Veer confrontation and the Shivika in pain on road waala scene. There are several occasions we overlook the lapses in storyline and support and also post an appreciation for real good episodes. A few of us however do give importance to story and content.

Nakuul and Surbhi have given their 2000% I should say. Hats off to their dedication and rising above the weak script each and ever time and delivering it convincingly. As stand alone scene, if this were during the early days where they were aware of each others feelings but yet to profess their love, this angst and intensity would have had a whole new meaning.

This intense scene given a choice, I'd place it following Anika's exit when Shivay was hospitalised and Pinky cunningly brought him home. Anika leaving and Shivay searching would have carried such poignancy way back.

NM-SC are absolutely good performers. Kya karen, when we watch we watch with reference to context and not as a stand alone scene. If I have to rate the intensity for best acting, I'd give them trophies right away.

But fact is fact. That there is NO story or the premise for a misunderstanding here.

And, to confirm, I'd vote for them when the award ceremony is planned and I'd want them to win in every category. No confusion there.

Thank you. Feeling flattered 😊
You should join more often and try posting your thoughts freely. Its just a support you are providing for people with similar views as yours or providing constructive counter arguments for why you may think otherwise.

Lot of crater size loopholes are there in the plot, but then ignoring them, one does wonder, if the marriage was indeed a reality, according to Annika, what is the meaning of silently sobbing & feeling betrayed, without trying to at least stop the wedding? Her trying to barge in and go on an accusatory spree against Shivaay & the family would be Trp gold! Him hiding things from her could have lead to some heavy duty dialogbazzi (intensity achieved). Despite warnings by Shivaay she managed to reach conclusions because Bua influenced her thinking, after Veer blurting out things to her hours before. Of course, this entire thing could be a plan by the lead pair, but after seeing yesterday's episode it makes up to no good.

In the name of rating games Annika's character under went metamorphosis, (IRREVERSIBLE)
the Shivaay who was ruthless in mind games got manipulated, Tej who could have played some games with Bua ended up bringing a disguise for Rudy, Omru poor things unable to do anything at all!! Why must a plot twist be associated with Billuji ki shaadi? Intensity & angst between couples can be shown without a marriage scenario.

Of course all will be well in Shivika land in a couple of episodes/weeks/months & every issue buried under the carpet, until the need for a rating comes calling, then another convoluted reason for intensity/angst/misunderstanding will come up!
Maanke chalein if IB survives this IPL and reached next IPL season next year, waapis sheesha-smashing moment hoga, this time round it may be Shivay misunderstanding or koi bhi who have walked in to OM decides to separate Shivika and Shivay ki shaadi kara lete hain

New seasons, ending things sensibly, staying true to the character sketch that originally was, requires out of the box story telling not endlessly based on the lead character's wedding premise.
Next time, Shivika's child or children may be singing Papa ki shaadi hogi, Papa dulha banenge, papa ki sehra sajegi, instead of billu billu, it will go, I(we) want nayi mummy, nayi mummy , nayi mummy.
Expect a promo from SP, with tagline "Nayi Soch"

For now I want this god awful never ending day to be over & I don't want to see Shivaay getting married ever again as long as this show lasts, even to Annika...wishful thinking I know 😳!!

Yes, agree with you over here. The actors perform very well no matter how strange a turn the story takes. Lot of times an episode is worth watching just because of the cast who pull off everything. But having said this, since this is a daily soap, a continuity of story telling is expected, to some extant atleast. Stand alone scenes/episodes cannot work in the long run. I also don't like the fact that the negative characters are not give a proper closure. Case point: Bua was the main one initially, she disappeared for more than a year & back again now. How will this end, no idea? Anyways the arcs & loops are here to stay.

At least let us just hope they get the numbers that they are aiming at as, a result of the present raitha!!
