For quite some time now, I've wondered if we'll ever get around to Anika's past...what that will look like, will it be a rushed scene or will the emotions be allowed to flow...

Today was the culmination of some long awaited and hoped for storyline for Anika...however it's come about, with all the frustrations and drag along the way, today I want to savor this episode for the beautifully envisioned writing, direction and performances.

For today, I could literally feel the LOVE the writers have for this character we've all adored...our Anika...it was so apparent in the way Shivaay walks into that old house and brushes the dust off of old memories, slowly revealing each memory bit by bit...a piece of little Anika coming alive in front of our eyes...a little Anika who named her TV "Chalumati", her bike, "Chhamiya", her table fan "Hawa Hawaai"...I couldn't help but aww over each new piece being revealed to us...then the little tape of "Kisse Papa, Chutki aur mere"...with a mischievous little Anika pinning the blame on Chutki for scribbling names on all the household items...Anika's father sounds so pleasant and happy on the tape...a little family genuinely filled with sunshine and laughter...and you can just tell that Anika is his daughter...the mother seems to be missing or maybe passed away and it was only these three in a tight knit unit.

Shivaay wonders about this little girl who's naming all her stuff but what confirms his suspicion is Anika's all time fav. "Raita fail gaya"...lol and everything just clicked after that with Tia making an appearance for obligatory information giving as well...haha

I was just SO floored by this scene today for how beautifully and effectively they made that world, Anika's childhood come alive for us...big round of applause to the writers for this👏👏👏

If the epi had only consisted of this scene alone, I'd still have been more than happy...but they were really on a roll today to spoil us with lovely Shivika scenes...haha so up next we get such a wonderful scene of an emotional Shivaay returning home in the morning...an Anika fussing over him, scolding him for not telling her where he was, while he can only watch her with emotional eyes.

The beauty of Shivika scenes always lies in the little details performed to perfection by NM-SC...Anika happily wanting to feed him but making these cute little faces as she's realizing the paratha is jalaa hua again, breaking it with difficulty, trying to downplay it, him so emotional that he doesn't even care if it's burnt, still eating it...then suddenly feeling overwhelmed and just needing to pull her in a hug...then her telling him not to try and change the topic like this, making this adorable nautanki face again...him wallowing in guilt about what to tell her, what not to tell her about her father...then again distracting her by telling her not to be mad since he's eating her jala hua khaana...haha these two...if I could just gather them up in a biggg hug🤗

The little "sab theek ho jaayega, Anika" that he did while cupping the back of her head was just so touching

And then transitioning into joking about her jalaa hua khaana to distract her...these two are more similar than they realize...haha and the thing I love is...she knows the khaana is jalaa hua, she outrages if he points it out, but she adooores him for still eating it...those are the expressions I love watching

Following this is an interesting scene b/w the Obros giving an insight into where the track is headed...the debate b/w telling Anika the full truth or the half truth...as expected, Shivaay wants to shield her from the accusations against her father...he may not believe the accusations himself, but he doesn't want to tell her about them even then...he understands correctly that she is very vulnerable about her past and may not be able to handle this...but what he isn't anticipating is that this leaves the avenue open for someone to twist the information...as Rudy rightly pointed out, hearing it from someone else will be worse for Anika.

So far, the writers are giving Billu the clean chit with showing him not believing this about HVT ...woh Anika ke papa hai, aisa kabhi nahin kar sakte...lol...but the situation is likely to get convoluted cuz of Bua's machinations.

So finally Anika has a full name...Anika VARDHAN TRIVEDI...haha AVT😆

And Shivaay has decided to give Anika atleast some piece of her past...something to hang on to since she's always felt adrift otherwise...and so he takes her to her childhood home...

Tomorrow looks like some great emotional scenes coming up for Shivika as Anika revisits her childhood memories...a reboot of the scene from last year when Shivaay pulled Anika into his lap to console her

I'm conflicted about Shivaay's decision to give her the half truth...I understand his motivations but this is not going to play well for him...lying about the death of her father like this...Anika's first reaction will be hurt over him lying to her, more than anything.

I am eagerly waiting for a reboot of this

The last time Shivika had this emotional conversation about the lack of knowledge of Annika's past,her family,her identity;all of us literally shed tears and I am sure many handkerchifs will be wet tomorrow too !

The CVs have at least maintained their initial premise of the story of Ishqbaaaz : Shivaay Singh Oberoi with his ideologies of name,lineage and bloodline and how he sheds them to become sirf Annika's Shivaay and Annika,sirf Annika without any of the above finally gains an identity of her own besides being Annika Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

I simply loved how with infinite care titbits of Annika's childhood was revealed and how far Shivaay has progressed in his Ishqbaazi that he never for even a nanosecond think badly about the status of Annika's past or parentage.How much emotional he became when he came to know about Annika's father and how he believed that father of a good soul like Annika cannot be bad.

Now,I am restless for the next episode. Can it come already ??😆

well it was really a pleasant surprise by lekhikaji giving us glimpse of Anika ka bachpan... you are right it always felt like a dream that Anika's past is being explored with so much thought behind it... as I was saying in Rimi's thread... ironically a person who struggled all her life for a name loves to give names to each and everything in her life be it a tv, a cycle, a fan or a recorded cassette of her bachapan ke kisse with her papa and choti behen... I just ❤️ this Chotisi Anika.

not to forget nazuk Billuji ka cough duty to dust in the old Trivedi house as he entered it...😆

It was a very small scene of Anika inquiring abt Billu ke whereabouts to Pinky and she pyyar se ensuring Anika ke Billu fine haine and must have broken his phone esliye not ans. it was nice...

You have already said all for the ShivIka scene in the room... But IF i hear it correctly Anika made reference to CHALUMATI (TV) par koie show which was making her bheja fry made Shivay got emotional listening to that word he just saw she has written in her home and emotionally pulled her in a hug...❤️

OBRO's ka scene too was for a change giving old IB feels... as he rightly pointed out bhabhi might be heartbroken but then we all are here to sambhalo her... and she will be more shattered if she gets to know abt this from someone else... 👍🏼

As for Shivay lying abt HVT ki death by heart attack... I am sure once Anika gets over her shock she will definitely listens to his explanation...

The family photo of Choti Anika, Choti Chutaki and HVT seems a young version of Trivedi sisters... so I am assuming both sister were in care of some relatives for a couple of years who kicked them out due to they being freeloaders making them wandering on streets hungry and sick when Mr. Bajaj found them and left them in the orphanage...

👏to NM-SC for such a beautiful performance considering they must have shot all these scenes in a little rush to create a NM scenes ki banks...

A big 👍🏼 to Lekhika ji for giving this heartfelt episode...

And about shivaay's decision it is such a tight spot really do not know how to feel and what to feel it does have pros and cons it is not done but then I guess this is what they are setting them up for again good intentions being the reason for their immense pain and hurt just like last time

On another note I think anika will only agree to celebrate her day now caz she got some hint some sense of an identity of her roots beyond just sirf anika. Not that it wasn't something she was proud of but it makes sense why she never celebrated or cared but ab she does know that base of hers

A few more thoughts on where the storyline seems to be headed:

The dining table scene of the Seniors today showed them being so relieved that Shivaay believes them and is on their side...Pinky is still doting on Anika and being so nice to her...lol

Then the Obros scene which set up the debate of how much to tell Anika, how she will handle it...whether or not to deal in half truths...Shivaay vows to clear Anika's dad's name but it's very likely that Bua will mess with the situation before they get to that point and twist it in Anika's eyes.

I'm intrigued to see how Anika's memories get triggered tomorrow and if we'll get more insight into the hardships of her orphanage years too...lol I probably shouldn't expect much though...haha

Shivaay's intentions are noble...but as always his way of handling things...by hiding things to protect the ones he loves, trying to work through it all on his own...will backfire this time cuz it will come down to Anika's family...her father's reputation...so remains to be seen how they work through that conflict.

Aww what a lovely thought...that this is the day she feels born in the true sense because she finally knows her full name...knows her true identity...

Being "Sirf Anika" was never about shunning a surname...it was about being self-sufficient and strong even without a surname...getting a surname added to her name only fills in the gaps of her past, it doesn't define her...she defines herself...that is Anika :)

Re: Shivaay...yes it's about good intentions going awry...but I can live with these kind of internal conflicts anyday over manufactured third angles...let's see how this goes for now...

I am still overwhelmed by the episode so will add more on it later. About shivaay hiding it i dont agree with him but then again from his pov it makes sense he is thinking in a way he needs to protect her not in a wider scope where it really isn't his decision to take this is about her identity& father's respect. He has extremely noble intention infact to some extent endearing to that he feels the need to clear HVT's name cos he is anika's dad. Again in a way blind faith so far. Set up for a conflict this is where despite noble intention a wrong decision will backfire badly.

Have yet to watch the episode but had a feeling that you would be making a thread today. 😆

The caps look lovely and sounds like a totally Shivikalicious episode... after so long. This one is why we are still here enduring months on end of lame stuff and NM-SC make sure we can't let go. They have my whole heart. I like how as far as Shivika is concerned their progression has been maintained despite plenty of other lame stuff, which is so rare in a GEC couple. I love how for Shivaay it's all about Anika and his care and concern and love for her which what I would have expected considering how far they have come and writers have always kept that intact because in this genre you can never tell when that changes!! She is his first priority rather than Sr. Oberois or bua's plotting or all the skeletons lurking everywhere literally and figuratively.

Be back after I have watched the episode for more.

Yes, the evolution in Shivaay has been staggering...but I think that NKK hangup was resolved the last time only during the NT track when he brushed aside the fact that he didn't know about her past...for her sake...because she asked that he not fixate on that...and today we see a Shivaay who is more happy than anything simply to be able to give her a piece of her past...not fixating on her family, lineage, anything.

His faith in Anika is on another level now...but it seems it will be tested despite his best intentions...lol let's see where this goes...
