----------------------------------------------------
Tempest-A Violent Windy Storm
----------------------------------------------------

1.

"Anika close the window, the storm is picking up!" Her mother called out, as she saw Anika beside the window looking out.

"It's beautiful Maa!" She replied, smiling looking out.

The dust had filled the air. The buildings were blurred due to the smog. The skies were growing dark as though in fear. The sun's last rays that usually stayed until late, slipped away too early.

Little Anika smiled.

A loud thunder made the windows, doors and a few hearts tremble. But she stood still closing her eyes. The thunder soothed her!

"Anika!" Her mother shut the window. "Its dusty, stormy and cold. You must not expose yourself to it!" Her mother scolded.

"Maa..its beautiful." She said frowning still looking out of the window. The wind was wild, there were things flying from down to up and then turning to reach an unknown destination.

"It's not! The dust will hurt your eyes!"

"No Maa, it won't. It's okay if it does. Its beautiful."

"The breeze is bitter!" Her mother added.

"No. Maa..I like it. It's bitter in the beginning but soothes in the long run.

Her mother couldn't argue anymore and left her side.

---------------

The Tempest had striked again! Her vision blurred as tears made to her eyes. Her eyes hurt as the tears he gave pricked her. The thunder echoed, mocking her, at her failure. The sky was dark. The cold wind tortured her as she sat no where- somewhere on a abandoned road. She rubbed her arms, trying to keep herself warm. She failed at it desperately.

She had to face it all for she had dared to Fall For The Tempest!

She remembered her mother's words, " You mustn't love the Tempest, Dear!"

How many of you love the Tempest!??
Should it be loved!?

The weather was turning still unruly by the minute. The thunder reverberated. She looked up at the unmerciful sky. There was a instant flash of light and she looked down immediately. Preparing herself to hear the wicked thunder again. On cue the skies vibrated producing a dreadful sound.

She trembled slightly. But felt a strong hold on her arm. She looked up, he stood their. Under a big, strong widespread umbrella. His expression as stiff as the umbrella against the wind.

"Come."

She stared at him. If eyes could torture hers were doing just that to him. He felt nothing. He saw nothing. Her eyes said nothing to him.

She nodded in disapproval.

He loured at her. One strong move, she was up on her feet, being dragged away by him.

"You are stubborn." His crisp voice fell in her ears.

"You are heartless!" She spat.

"I had warned you." He said simply looking ahead.

The wind blew the cold raindrops against them. She shivered. He remained unaffected. The freezing drops were stings to her exposed skin.

Her feet were giving away, she was trembling due to cold. His gait was unaltered.

She made it hard for him to maintain his speed. He grabbed her waist, pulled her closer and walked. Sparing not a single glance. She felt warm, now, against his frame. She blinked her eyes. Tears would be mistaken for rain drops. Not that they mattered to him.

The rain never mattered to the Tempest.

The Tempest ruled as it wished to. It was unaffected, unaltered, and influenced by nothing!

-------------

She pulled her sweater closer, still sitting by the window. The cracking fire in the fireplace of the room warmed the room. But her soul was still cold. Very Cold.

-------------

"You should have considered my warning." He spoke, standing by her side a little distance away, looking out.

She wiped her tears and sat up straight.

He sipped his whisky. He felt warm on the inside but loved the cold outside.

"I thought things would change!" She put her hands together, rubbing them.

"Before the wedding I warned you, did everything I could to push you away. You were adamant. You are my responsibility now. Better get used to my ways and just my ways. Your stubbornness won't work. I warned you I m a Storm. I will do nothing but cause havoc and wreck you!" His voice was colder than the weather outside.

She looked at him. Why was he Like this? But wasn't it this very style, this very attitude, this very coldness that attracted her to him like a moth to flame?

He had warned her. Positive. He had gone all the way to call off their wedding. Positive.
She faced all that and got what she wanted. Him. But she never got him.

"Somethings look beautiful from distance,
The closer you get the uglier, they become." He said giving her a warning glance.

"Remember this." He disappeared as fast as he had come.

"Anika? May I?" His brother asked peeping in.

She smiled weakly.

"What is it Anika? Are you okay? Not keeping well? " he shot the questions concerned.

"I am fine. Jus tired." She spoke feebly sitting up on the bed.

"He did something, again? He fought with you?" He enquired in a straight voice.

"No!" She said immediately. That gave him the right answer.

"Why do you cover up for him? After all he puts you through!" He spoke angrily.

"Om. Please." She pleaded.

Omkara sighed. He knew their marriage was far from even working out mildly. He behaved like a egocentric jerk.

Anika had found her friend in Omkara. It had been three months to their wedding. The elders had moved out of the house soon after the wedding. They had relocated back to their home in Mumbai not liking the weather of Darjeeling. Om however stayed. He loved the city.

"Anika, I told you before, I tell you again, forget him, forget what happened and start from scratch. It's never late!" He spoke honestly to her. He knew it, that Shivaay wasn't the man who would allow anyone into his space. He still saw the hope in her eyes, that gave him hope.

"Let me be! It will be okay!" She said sitting up straight.

He gently patted her cheek and left.

"I wish I had followed my mother's advice. I wish I had. He is a storm I knew. And still I walked into it."

She looked at the window. A new day was waiting for her. But she was tired and drained.

"I wish I could forget and leave, Om. But that isn't an option. He won't let me go. "

She had entered a whirlpool, there was no escape.

She had sensed the danger and had runaway. But it was too late, he had brought her back. There was no turning back for her. Neither could she blend in.

Tears rained down her eyes.

She hummed to herself as she set up the dinning table. Things hadn't changed. Not a wall's breadth but endless length of a wall separated them.

Omkara was out of town. That left her with the servants and herself in the big mansion. She had given the servants an off, there was barely any work to do.

She looked up as she heard footsteps break the silence of the house. He dint spare a glance and walked to the room. Her hopes were already dead, only a few stray rays remained in the deepest of her heart.

She had loved the Tempest, why couldn't he love her back!?

The question always bothered her. He never even acknowledge her presence. She had forgotten how to live. Her life was losing purpose.

He walked to his seat and shouted for the servant to appear to serve him. She quietly made her way and performed the needful. He remained still.

"I called for the servant!"

"I have given them an off. There is barely.."

A loud clattering sound was heard as the plate crashed somewhere away. She gasped.

"I have warned you to not interfere!" He towered upon her and screamed.

She blinked and quivered. "Shivaay.. I..!"

Another glass flew and crashed on the hard floor, simultaneously his hand banged the table. She gasped scared.

"Not a word!" His voice was sharp.

Another plate and glass landed making a loud crashing sound.

She screamed not able to take it anymore. " Enough Shivaay enough! "

His blue eyes blazed as he scowled at her. His hand grabbed her arm pulling her closer, till his hot breath fanned her face. "I told you...

" Enough! " she raised her gaze. She struggled and freed herself of his hold.

"How have I wronged you to deserve this?" She screamed.

"You invaded my space. Which I share with none! " he said menacingly.

"Hell with you. Hell with your space!" Each word was shot like a dagger.

She ran out of their mansion atop the hill. She ran and ran. The night was dark rainy and eerie. She cared no more.

She was running from the storm, the Tempest she had been tempted to approach.

She stopped only when she thought she could run no more. Tears ran down her eyes, she hugged the nearest tree. She felt broken. She felt conquered. She felt empty. She was sinking, in something she din't know.

She was drenched. Her body in the raindrops and her soul in teardrops. Why did she love him so much?

She had no reason, no answers, no explanations as to how and when she fell for him. But she did. She wondered if she would fall out. Because she still loved that ruthless mess of a man.

The wind started feeling colder, as minutes passed. She closed her eyes.

"It soothes in the long run, Maa!"

Her voice as a little girl resonated, in her ears.

She waited, she waited to feel the warmth in the cold. To feel the peace in the storm. Her endless well of hope was drying up.

A tear, merely escaped her eyes. How wrong had she been. In matter of seconds, she felt, the cold wind grow calmer. She felt a sudden, unimaginable glimpse of warmth.

She shot open her eyes. He stood before her, obstructing the chill of the winds from reaching her. She blinked. For the first ever time, their eyelock was long and unexpected.

"Come!" He spoke. This time he held her hand.

"No!" She pleaded.

He turned back to look at her.

"I can't!"

He inched closer to her and picked her up, in his arms.

She had least expected it. She had no strength remaining to protest. The wind blew the droplets of water against them. He looked ahead and walked back to their home. Their mansion.

Her gaze remained fixed at him. Her Tempest. No. The Tempest she had fallen for!

She now belonged to the whirlwind. It would not let her free.

On the surface, he would say the name, the social status was what mattered but somewhere down he perhaps felt he owned her!

Thanks Lee!
If you want to sure😳
Thank you.
I will be honest, the weather right now is making me write this. I was sitting by the window, (something I always do when its rainy/windy outside.) I wanted to read something... Something Dark, something that I could feel the stormy weather in. Found nothing. Thus I started writing this.
That's why I haven't put anything before or after...nothing.
3 parts are up.
I am just writing... Don't know where it will go.

I had initially thought of updating it today. Then the weather changed suddenly and I dropped the idea. I think I will end up continuing that in June😭 I hate giving one or two updates and then stopping.

Extremely Sorry for keeping you all hanging at LBC. But I really don't want to spoil it.

Thanks for commenting:)
