I gave up on the show when the merge happened and now watch occasionally when my mom watches it. The merge was the worst idea the CVS came up with and it ruined everything. DBO never made sense and IB was it's own special brand of random, but both shows were entertaining.

I saw the writing on the wall when they started parroting dialogues in color coordinated clothes and started the line with the mahasangam promo with them holding hands 😆 I made posts, complained on social media, and even politely requested the CVS to stop ruining the show with the groupism. I was ignored so I stopped watching and now 8 months later the show is a hopeless like I predicated.

The show lost it's charm 8 months ago when all the characters stopped being different. Anika's spunk was gone. Gauri was fun in DBO, but she lost her charm. I'm not including Bhavya because let's be honest she never had a personality to begin with. All she did was fail every single mission and ended being saved by Rudra. The CVS tried different routes with her character, but nothing stuck or worked. She was a blank page the CVS used to stand in the OBahu line and romance Rudra.

I was always rooting for all the FLs( Old and new), but there was never character development for them. They share a sad past, share a personality, share the same expressions, wear matching clothes, play childish games, and never talk about anything significant. Thanks to the group trip and fall we got group romance too lol. They have been morphed into one single character and what depth they had has been sacrificed for the girl gang. What irritates me the most is that the FLs don't even know each other and haven't had a real conversation to bond, but they cry over each other like they have known each other all their lives. OBros are brothers and spent their entire childhood together, but the FLs are just crying for the sake of crying. It was silly before now it's just stupid 😆

I was a real OBros fan, who liked all the brothers equally because they were different. I wanted equal SS for everyone and still do, but CVS's idea of equal SS in copy and pasted everything lol. I wanted everyone to get character development outside the romance angle. I wanted to see different sides explored in all three characters. CVS ruined any depth during the merge to sell all their love stories on the same page. All of them had to be in the same point in their stories, which made no sense. All 3 had the same problems. All 3 had to romance at the same time. All the 3 had to fight their FLs at the same time so CVS could write scenes where they all helped each other reconcile 😕. The characters no longer had disagreements or had discussions about something other than the ladies similar to how the FLs were forced to interact over the MLs. The overdose of tears and hugs is ridiculous now.

I'm ready for the show to end because it's no longer ishqbaaaz it's stand in a line color-coordinating parrotbaaaz now 😆 I love the cast and I wish them the best, but the CVS don't seem to want to save the show anymore. So many tracks can be explored for everyone, but they jump from one bad track to another using the cast as a crutch. Vanvaas track started out so well, but OM was completely neglected so instead of writing a better track for them everyone shifted to Goa to partake in the Shivika's vanvaas 😆 So, what happened in the month with all the character living together in Goa? Absolutely nothing. RuVya shaadi functions were a joke like their rushed love story and now Saumya is evil. Rikara did nothing for entire month minus be in group scenes. Shivika did nothing, but repeated the same scenes and dialogues for a month. Everyone just color-coordinated for a month while the villains plotted against them 😆

I have no exceptions for the new track. I'm watching on autopilot when I see the episodes. The secret is being promoted as Shivika's new hurdle, but Rikara and Rumya/RuVya will join shortly because CVS can't be bothered to write a single track for them. All 6 will go back to doing the same exact thing wearing matching clothes in a line again then the track will end abruptly leaving the audience confused 😆

1. IB is an addiction that I can't yet get out of
2. I watch only for the sake of the cast
3. I've stopped watching and just catch up on written updates
4. I now have more fun trolling the writing than having any serious expectations
5. I hope they end IB on a positive note

I loved this scene because it was hilarious. Saumya is the IB fans that are done with the stupid writing and Tia is the fans that are numb already 😆

Both them of looked pretty in this scene. Again, even villains are color-coordinating with everyone 😆

I really needed this one. I hope that this had happend, but nooo they allways try to make omkara the dumbest one. My question is, if he is an oberoi and an selfmade billionair artist aur uska har ek painting core mai biekhte hai, tap uska paisa kaha gaya? I mean he has sold many paintings of him right? So was not capable enough to buy the mansion? Besides screaming like a mad man, he just could threw the money on that man's face... i am fed up with this Ram Lakshman thing. Ram and Lakshman both were capable, but why is in the serial only shivay capble of doing everything??? Are they trying to show that omkara is worthless??? Kyu Gauri ko etna bhola bana dete hai??? Gauri bhaudjai aur shankarji ke elawa kuch nahi ata?? Kya Gauri kabhi ek adarsh patni ya bahu nahi ban sakti?? Why are shivay and anika the best, grandson, son and husband. No offence with shivika. I love them, but i as vieuwer expect more from rikara

Vanvaas could have done much effective .. rn from just top of my head with all same characters ..

Shivika both working .. ..veer tries to Create misunderstanding but shivika together so in the end he kidnaps her and when shiv rescues her discovers KM secrets and about svet and he returns back with a way to make everything right

Rikara are handling things at home and office .. om in office , interacting with tej but missing his art . Gauri supporting om and trying to bridge gap between jhanvi and pinky .. with tia trying to create differences .. and gauri on her case

Rudra being more responsible and bhavya coming back and helping to find more info abt svet with her contacts .. Sowmya feeling she May still have feelings for Rudra .. so awkwardness between the 3

Obros and obahus interacting through video calls and having some light moments .. all couples having moments together growing and learning abt each other

So end of vanvaas all 3 couples have some info and together they could tackle NB

This whole thing could have been for at least 2 - 3 weeks ..
If writers r good they can make characters grow stronger with plot not have them compromise for the plot

And Dadi is sooo irritating, she can't act at all!!!

And I hope if ever Oberois are on the roads and the bahus have to make food etc. Gauri snubs Annika for being incompetent, any normal sil wud do that, they should have little differences, not like Jhanvi Pinky but in light magnitude.

I'm not saying Annika should know cooking ( survival of course ) or other things. I'm just saying that if your are in same place and a normal SIL is doing it alone, she would obviously complain.

Very true to the core analysis. And infact someone commented above, the character development of all have stopped from the last 8 months. I was watching initial episodes of IB 2 days back, where Om was lashing out Mr.Oberoi while not being able to do anything; guess what OM is still the same guy. Not able to do anything. And I dont know about writer competence and all, but you have hit the nail on the head. A nayee soch is not only about "throwing water, fighting for materialistic things or something", a true nayee soch is about fighting about difference of opinions. Two different individuals cant have exactly same opinions about everything. But alas' they have now reduced Anika to devouted GL and nothing else.

I will give one example of nayee soch. As name taking is not allowed so i will leave it to the viewers, one of the sony serial which ended without any drag has such a stunning female lead characterization that you feel just connected to her. No mahaanta virus, and no "she is always right", No my pati is parmeshwar, no dependency. Even their divorce happened because of difference in opinions about how her husband is more than necessary devouted to her mother/family and do not even see her point of difference (and not because of some misunderstanding or some third wheel person coming- vamp or something). and what did she did after divorce? Raised her daughter, Raised her startup, talked about her husband family with her daughter clearly ( so it was not shocking twist track ki like mummy mere papa kon hain..mummy meri dadi kon hain). And because the divorce happen on "difference of opinions" where she knows what are her faults and what are her husband faults so after 7 years when they meet again it was no "i hate you" kind of thing or she didnt raised her daughter like family did wrong with her but she drilled down the belief that "difference in opinions" and non sync thought process is the reason and family and her husband has some good qualities and some bad qualities just like her. Being a tv viewer from 1998, i was simply amazed by the FL character arc for being much more "real" in characterisation and also showing immense strength and her individuality and will put her in the top 3 FL ever and will probably remember her ever after 20 years down the line. Can someone say that about Anika/Gauri/Leave alone bhavya(she has no arc) character? the answer is no. they started off well but now have been reduced to usual FL.

This. Chalo it feels good it is not only me who feels the same. Putting a point, keeping a distance or having opinions doesnt make a FL negative. I dont know when will SP understand this. they should move closer to "reality" Infact that will be a true nayee soch. Pinky hurt her husband and was the casue of separation, and almost was ready to marry her son with ragini. poof all forgotten and anika is a again "mahaan". dont even get me started on Tej crimes. As i gave above example, as a partner it is your "right" and "duty" to tell your partner that "i have xyz opinions about this issue and this person because of their history and all. therefore, currently i am not comfortable to close that distance so soon and you should also be wary. and if in the future situation improves, things will become normal with time. But given what they have done, I am bit more careful ans will take some more time." This doesnt make a character negative!!..when will makers understand this. Hell this is 2018!!..dont make her "ji mummy ji". what next? pinky attempting murder on anika and anika quicky forgetting the deed by saying that ohh bahut pyaar karti hain nah apne bete se isliye kiya hoga?? and next day make kheer for pinky. C'mon come to reality. Apply the same thing to Gauri Anika dynamics as well. you can love each other, you can respect each other but how can two individual have "hum saath saath hain" opinion on everything. dont make it mushy.

when will producers,directors, writers will learn that not every thing is "i love you oo jaanaa" and not every thing is "i hate you..nafrat hain". in reality parents have difference in opinions with children; partners have difference in opinions between them, best friends have the same. It doesnt mean you stop loving them or you are always right/wrong. It just mean as an individual this is xyz my point of view, and this is abc your point of view and how they are not syncing.

Oh my god so many comments with such in depth analysis as to why IB is where it is now... this is probably the first time i'm sad that people have the same opinion as me...My heart aches knowing how true every comment is :(

Word girl!!! I love you for the definition you have out there for Nayi soch... This is just great like Agree with every bit of your comment.

Another thing is that Sony has always come up with REAL shows. May be something not as masaledar or something that did not have the level of chemistry that shivika had until just 2 months s ago but whatever show I have watched in that channel, every single one of them had a " reality " in them. Something that I could relate to our society and daily life. Most importantly, they would be finite and the writer and producer would make sure it doesnt feel dragged and it ends on a good note. And I love this fact about that channel.

Gul's shows are unmatchable when they start off, be it the characters individually, or the burning chemistry between the leads , theyre just THE best. But what she does with her shows after a year or 2 is that she stops caring (or that's what it looks like from what I have noticed till now with her other shows because she has some new project in hand). And this is exactly what she did with this one. Guls shlws touch the sky in the first year. And then the downfall starts. Shame on me for thinking that she wouldn't do the same with IB.

With you girl.. Shivaay is a superman , can solve any problem and with supersonic speed arrive at the time of chaos .
The color co -ordinates esp . with the whole clan , one for all liners are getting too boring.. though the Shivika scenes were good for the past 2 days.. wish they showed Veer's room with Anika's pics. .want to see Shivaay's reaction to Veer's obsession for his wife.
