That's your interpretation...to me it's a ludicrous and caricaturish thing to watch a female taking sindoor and choodiyon ki kasmein so I call it like I see it.
And I never called for a violent reaction from Om...I didn't know it was too much to ask that a man atleast be disgusted with his mother for throwing out his beloved brother...but oh well...I guess it was for some.
Regression is such a relative term here😆
Er, correct me if I'm wrong, but just before leaving the house, didn't Annika also say "Shivaay mera gehna hai" or something on those lines?
How is that acceptable while sindoor/choodiyaan (I haven't watched the episode so I'm taking your word for it) ludricrous?
Shouldn't the same standards apply to both the characters?
As a matter of fact, I do agree that there has been regression. Gauri is much more than these dialogues. Her original characterization is DBO, or even in IB, was supposed to be a dabanng fearless, and supremely smart girl (who walked out of a relationship due to her self-respect, and fought three different villains alone).
The past weeks episodes are not doing justice to her character AT ALL. Which is why I mentioned earlier that the characters (except Shivika of course, as someone pointed out) are regressing.
Which is why the episodes are losing their appeal, to some of us.
If we are not liking the episodes, we can mention it here. This is the EPISODE DISCUSSION THREAD, and not the EPISODE APPRECIATION THREAD.
As long as I have stated sensible reasons which all pertain to the writing of characters and job by the CVs, no rational person should be offended. 😊
