First-Not a Modi fan. Not any politician's fan, really. Huge Swacch Bharat fan though sooo we are still friends?😳😃
Coming back to your great post, you raise some really interesting points. Is a better relationship one where neither partner has to change for the other person or one where both partners have change significantly in order to be with the person they are attracted to/aspire to be with?
I am going with the first option. As you mentioned Saumya and Rudra clicked because they were naturally compatible with each other. Rudra didn't have to change to be with Saumya for she understood him-good and bad. And even though he fought his growing attachment to her, she managed to bring out his protective instincts showing how much he cared for her - something even he didn't realize.
I haven't watched all their scenes because I started watching with DBO, but what little I have seen after going through some old IB ep's shows a natural, easy and quite frankly, lovely chemistry.
Bhavya and Rudra on the other hand didn't seem to me to share much more than a general fondness and physical attraction. They were both attracted to each other-Bhavya being the embodiment of Rudra's dream girl and Rudra's happy-go-lucky personality appealing to Bhavya's rather stern, police brain. But they tried to make their relationship work because they were attracted to each other and not because they were compatible. Which almost never works.
You make an excellent point when you say that neither of them were willing to accept each other wholly. As friends they were fine but they had entirely different AND clashing personalities .Which to me, made a relationship impossible between them.
To sum up, Rudra and Saumya fit but Rudra is too immature to let go of adolescent dreams to realize that.
Bhavya and Rudra have not much in common and don't really understand each other but tried to force their relationship because they liked each other.
There is attachment between Rumya
There is attraction between Ruvya
But I do think Bhavya's entry was a good thing for Rudra. She made him rethink his view of himself. What doomed Rumya was that Rudra felt superior to Saumya (although she did retaliate beautifully😆 ). When Bhavya entered his life, she made it very clear that she didn't think much of him and that I think shook him terribly leading to all the OTT behaviour-like getting Bhavya fired using Abhay. He didn't want to question himself so instead chose to lash out.
But now he is questioning himself. And Saumya is back.Fingers crossed for Rumya endgame and Ruvya remaining friends. Bhavya is a good character and I hope they give her a good ending too.
